The rugged ported box was designed as a perfect match for the subs, so you can count on getting maximum performance, no matter what kind of music you prefer.

Two hard-hitting CompC subs

Each 10" CompC sub features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, with a ribbed foam surround that promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cones on target. A heavy-duty steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy.

Heavy-duty enclosure

Sturdy medium-density fiberboard ensures long-lasting performance from the enclosure, and the special-design side port enhances bass production without getting sloppy. The enclosure's 2-ohm impedance draws maximum power from your mono amplifier.

Q
Would a 600 watt amp be sufficient for this speaker?
tbell  Apr 12, 2023
1 answer
A
An amplifier capable of offering 600 watts RMS at 2-ohms would be perfect for these subs.

Is my CXA400.1 amp going to work in my 2011 Ford Edge?
christina  Jan 01, 2022
1 answer
A
Not if you don't have a back seat. It's too big to fit under a pickup seat.

Q
How much does the box weigh with out the speakers?
tracey  Sep 30, 2021
1 answer
A
They come preloaded so I don't have any specs on an empty box. As it stands the shipped weight is 65 pounds. You may be able to contact Kicker for further information.

Q
What gauge are the speaker wires inside the box?
jay  May 28, 2021

A
We do not know the gauge of the wire inside the box, but we do know that Kicker makes sure the wire they do use inside the box fully supports the RMS watts that each subwoofer is expected to get which is 300 watts RMS.

If the subs max out at 250rms each when wired in parallel, how is this box rated at 600rms?

We have not received any answers from other customers on your question. I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They should be able to help answer your question.

I can't answer that. All I can tell you is I have this box under the bed in my sleeper of my semi truck and it will vibrate the seat going down the road if you want it to. I'm happy with mine but you may be wanting to blow the windows out of your car idk. I can't remember how I even wired mine up but it does good I think.

KICKER - CX 400W Class D Digital Mono Amplifier with Variable Low-Pass Crossover - i have this amp for now will it work or do I got go bigger ?
manuel  Jan 16, 2021

A
You should get a bigger amp. They recommend 600 Watts for that sub box. I have those subs paired with a Infinity Reference 6001A and it works great.

I'm running a 300.1 kicker amp and it does great so yes your amp will be fine

Q
I have a Kicker zx- 700.5 powering my whole system I have these Sub set up in 2-ohm which makes my amp give feed 420 Watt RMS to them and they sound great. You don't have to feed them 600 Watt RMS but it's best to try and not use a under powered amp?
joshua  Jan 07, 2018
1 answer
A
Ideally you'd want to power the Kicker 44DCWC102 with an amplifier rated somewhere between 400-800 watts RMS x 1 (at 2-ohm) to get the best output. For more details or to discuss further, please contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat. Thanks!

JBL GTX500 Mono subwoofer amplifier - 500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms Would this be a good amp to pair with this set?
tyler  Dec 01, 2017
1 answer
A
The JBL will not realize the full potential of this enclosure (up to 600 watts RMS) but will power it very well, sure. I hope that helps. My bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Ryan

What amp could you use for this sub?

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your sub I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.

Q
I have the P500X1BD 500 RMS amp. If I bridged the amp to these subs to put approximately 1000 watts to the 1200 peak watts it advertises, will it be a good pairing?
david  Oct 14, 2017
1 answer
A
First off, you cannot bridge a mono amplifier. That particular amp that you mentioned is wired as parallel internally, so even if you see two pairs of outputs, it really is just one channel. Second, putting out 1000 watts to this particular sub is not a good thing. While 1200 watts peak is a specification, that means it'll handle 1200 watts in a really short burst, not continuously. The amp you have will put out 150 watts at 4 ohms, 300 at 2 ohms and 500 at 1 ohm. This sub is 2 ohms and will handle 600 watts RMS(continuously). If you pair your amp to this sub, you will give it only 300 watts. Crutchfield recommends being within 75% to 150% of the RMS rating so you will need an amp that can deliver that much wattage at 2 ohm, should you decide to buy this sub. If you rather keep your amp and get a different sub, find one that will closely match the output of your amp at the varying ohms resistance.
