I'm using this for an outdoor stereo, in a custom sealed box that's been rubberized. The sub fires downwards and is suspended mid-air under a deck. Powered by a Crown XLR 1002 this thing is so loud. If i turn it up i think the entire neighborhood would hear it. i know the sub is underpowered by the amp at 1ohm, but man does it crank out. The deck which is about 5 feet up from the sub vibrates. Highly recommend this.

They tried too Hard. They lightened up the polypropylene cone too much. Lost the Kicker Sound. Same thing happened with the Alpine Type R when the R turned to R-W. Can handle huge power, hit Hard and Carried the Super Low Lows but absolutely nothing else. Love Kicker, just not this one. If you love music, get the regular L7's. They Never Dissapoint.
Pros: They Look Really Cool.
Cons: Only good for 2 Frequencies.

They work great
Pros: They have more than enough power. I have one 1200 rms amp on each speaker with a sealed box but probably going to build a ported box for them because I have a 2017 Chrysler 300 and there is no air space in the trunk.
Cons: I haven't had them long enough to have any cons but I've had a pair before and the only thing I hated was the wires that run inside the speaker to the terminal could've been glued down instead of using a band bc mine eventually came lose and broke apart on the last ones but it looks like they made these a bit better so I'll leg you know.
