About the Kicker Q-Class 41L7154

Truly huge bass

Kicker's updated L7™ Series subwoofers are designed for one purpose: to deliver truly huge, supremely accurate bass. The 41L7154 15" component subwoofer handles up to 1200 watts RMS, so you can count on major-league performance. Its innovative square cone moves much more air than a conventional 15" round cone, and this sub's made to take anything you can dish out. The two 4-ohm voice coils help you draw maximum power from your amplifier.

Built-in toughness

The woofer's forged aluminum frame and Santoprene™ rubber surround handle high-level playback, while keeping the cone on track. The injection-molded SoloKon™ polypropylene cone features special back bracing for strength and responsiveness. And the UniPlate™ back plate and pole piece are made as a single, solid unit to allow heat to escape the motor. Translation? Kicker designed this sub to take some serious punishment.

Top of the line

Product Research

Features

Square Design: By making the cone square, Kicker is giving you the most possible cone area (Sd) for a given size baffle, 16% to 20% more area than a conventional round subwoofer. More cone area means the cone moves more air, resulting in louder, deeper bass.

Dual Voice Coils: For increased system flexibility, the woofer has two 4Ω voice coils. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 2Ω load; when wired in series, the woofer presents an 8Ω load.

Terminals: The spring post terminals will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs (but not dual), and bare wire up to 8 gauge.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker L7 woofers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum bass response. The high-performance suspension system makes the speakers very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Sealed Enclosure: A sealed enclosure design gives the smoothest response with increased energy at the lowest frequencies (between 20 and 30 Hz).

  • Minimum Volume: 1.75 ft³
  • Maximum Volume: 6 ft³

Vented Enclosure: A vented enclosure design increases efficiency relative to sealed enclosures.

  • Minimum Volume: 3 ft³ with a 2½" x 16¼ x 19½" slot port
  • Maximum Volume: 6 ft³ with a 3½" x 16¼" x 13¾" slot port

Cutout: The woofer will not mount in a standard enclosure with a round cutout. Instead, the woofer must be mounted in an enclosure with a 13.75" x 13.75" square opening.

Only in the back bed! So you'll be hauling a serious BASS-BOMB ??!! This thing HITS!! I've always used Kicker Square Solos since 2002 I think it was!?!... absolutely the best bass EVER! I've had many of my cars in stereo competitions and after switching to the Kicker square solos and the right components, they couldn't catch-up! Hands down Kicker is #1! Big Perm
