Built-in toughness

The woofer's forged aluminum frame and Santoprene™ rubber surround handle high-level playback, while keeping the cone on track. The injection-moulded SoloKon™ polypropylene cone features special back bracing for strength and responsiveness. The sub's two 4-ohm voice coils give you extra flexibility in incorporating this sub into your system. And the UniPlate™ back plate and pole piece are made as a single, solid unit to allow heat to escape the motor. Translation? Kicker designed this sub to take some serious punishment.

Enclosure Compatibility

Features

Dual Voice Coils: For increased system flexibility, the woofer has two 4Ω voice coils. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 2Ω load; when wired in series, the woofer presents an 8Ω load.

Square Design: By making the Solo-Baric square, Kicker is giving you the most possible cone area (Sd) for a given size baffle, 16% to 20% more area than a conventional round subwoofer. More cone area means the cone moves more air, resulting in louder, deeper bass.

Cone Material: The square SoloKon design is a unique one-piece construction, using injection molded polypropylene that moves as a lightweight piston, for improved control. A rear cone brace integrates into the cone with a continuous contact perimeter weld, which improves strength and resistance to deformation under pressure.

Surround: The tough, flexible Santoprene rubber surround has a long-throw, positive-roll design, which controls extreme cone excursion and is tear-resistant. The corners of the surround are ribbed to ensure linear cone motion. The surround is stitched to the reinforced cone edge to improve durability.

Speaker Terminals: The terminals are spring loaded and nickel plated for solid connections with speaker wire up to 10 gauge.

Break-in Period: Due to the complex nature of Kicker Solo-Baric L7S woofers, they require a break-in period in order to produce optimum bass response. The high-performance suspension system makes the speakers very stiff out-of-the-box. Approximately two weeks of daily playing will allow the suspension to break-in and reach its optimum equilibrium. A broken-in subwoofer will exhibit stronger bass performance, smoother response, and greater low-bass extension.

Enclosure Compatibility

Customer Q&A

Q
What amp for would work with 2 of these and a pair of 46CSC654?
lucas  Mar 18, 2024
1 answer
A
Hey Lucas, so the power output of two of those Solo Baric L7's would actually require a dedicated amp to drive them as you will not get the desired output from those off a single multichannel amp. For a dedicated amp to drive those Kickers I would use a mono block from Kicker: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c402/p_20646CX18T/Kicker-46CXA1800-1T.html?tp=35834 And then to drive the other Kickers I would look at this 4ch option that you can run those CS from but also have two open channels for rear amplification down the line if need be: https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rET1c402/p_20646CX36T/Kicker-46CXA360-4T.html?tp=35782

Q
What's the woofer displacement for this L7S15?

A
We do not have that information. The Kicker's subwoofer box volume recommendations listed on this web page already take that into consideration so you only need to make sure the box matches those numbers
