Superb sound

This Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 602 6-1/2" 2-way car speaker redefines the concept of woofer and tweeter in one basket. To improve time alignment, the recessed soft dome tweeter is aligned with the paper composite woofer cone itself, eliminating phase problems for a more natural, uncolored sound. This "point source" design offers the added benefit of allowing these speakers to fit in more vehicles.

Handles up to 110 watts RMS

Morel also includes a built-in crossover to give you an ideal blend of the highs and lows for an incredible stereo image. And with power handling up to 110 watts RMS, you'll do just fine powering these speakers with your car stereo, but you'll get maximum performance if you power them with an aftermarket amplifier.

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.

Features

Time Aligned Structure: The recessed tweeter is concentrically aligned with the woofer cone, so sound radiates from the same point for both. This minimizes phase error and allows the sound field to be constant in all directions, improving time alignment.

Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Morel, call this size speaker a 6-1/2". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6-1/2" speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size woofer as a 6-3/4". Please enter your vehicle information to confirm fit.

Q
cut out diameter? is 5-5/8 not in manual i just did a bracket

My apologies for the delayed response I rarely check my yahoo email. Unfortunately, I am just now installing the speakers and I was not sent the correct passenger bracket and the correct one is being sent to me. Currently, I have an issue with the aftermarket mount because it does not compensate the mid-range speaker. The current plan is to cut off the flat part of the factory speaker mount and use the new mount C.F. is sending me is a flush mount which I plan to attach to the factory mount and I need to fabricate the mount for the mid-range and the goal is to cut off the top of the factory mid-range to use it as a go between to mount, the aftermarket speaker. There rear speakers will have to be done the same way with and I am going to add the top part of the factory mount to the mount, it is attached to the factory speaker. In hindsight, the mounts are not designed fo component speakers and it would be easier to install a speaker with the mid-range built into it but the down side is the mount will not bring the speaker close enough to the speaker grille to focus all of the sound into the vehicle. I am installing the custom sub in the rear as well and backup camera and lane departure and a satellite receiver, once i have completed the install I will post all of it online.

The crutchfield brackets worked for me. The factory screws were a bit small for the bracket though.

Q
Looking to run these as rear fills at 50watts each and will be turning them up to about 50watts commonly. What is the reccomended high pass for these for the volume I am using them at? I want as much bass as they can handle without distorting at 50watts. I know they go down to 50hz but am not sure they can actually handle that sort of bass, with vocals, at 50watts. I know 80hz is a good general starting point but I want to know about what these speakers can specifically handle instead. I already bought them from you guys and am trying to figure the crossover freq.

The 80Hz crossover point, a THX standard, is usually chosen because human hearing becomes unidirectional around and below that point. There is usually a very limited benefit, if any, in crossing over lower than that.

I'm afraid there is no "one size fits all" high-pass filter setting recommended for the Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Integra speakers. This will be set according to your own personal tastes and/or system preferences. For more personalized info on what filter setting will work best for you, please feel free to contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat; they'll be happy to go over that in more detail with you. Thanks!

Q
if speakers say handles up to 110 watts RMS (220 watts peak power) what size amp should I look for? I was looking at focal 4.600 to run these but that says 150w per channel. Would that blow these morels?
jason  Mar 24, 2017

A
generally speaking, too much power won't blow speakers, but distortion will. Also an amp that says it puts out 150w per channel means at full gain it'll deliver 150 watts. It's a good idea to stay close to recommended RMS power for the speakers, but if you deliver a clean signal, keep the gain under 100% and don't crank the head unti you should easily be able to double RMS power to these speakers and keep them happy a long time.
aaron  Apr 03, 2018

You can adjust the gain on your amp. It would be a good fit, lots of clean power. It took me 500w rms to blow one.
