About the SummitView™ Rock Camera

Jon Paul

See what you're about to crawl over

When you're crawling through rugged terrain in a 4x4, knowing what's under you is sometimes as important as what's in front of you. The more you see, the more you know. And the more you know, the less likely you are to be stuck on the trail with a broken vehicle. The SummitView™ Rock Camera is like having a trusted spotter warning you about the sharp thing that's about to open your vehicle's undercarriage like a can of beans.

The SummitView™ Rock Camera is like having a trusted spotter warning you about the sharp thing that's about to open your vehicle's undercarriage like a can of beans.

Built tough for the outdoors

Hardcore off-roading has a way of breaking things, so the SummitView Rock Camera is built to stand up to its environment. The camera housing has a rugged nylon design and stainless steel hardware, so you can paint it to match your vehicle's colour. The wiring and connections are totally waterproof, so even if you're in a stream up to the vehicle's hood, the camera will be just fine.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Brandmotion SummitView Rock Cameras are designed to mount on the front of an off-road vehicle to provide a close view of the terrain while off-roading or rock crawling, and are small enough to fit just about anywhere under a vehicle. The 9002-8852 camera kit is ideal for this application by using two cameras that can be mounted on either end of the bumper for a full view of the upcoming terrain, but can also be mounted anywhere around the perimeter of the vehicle if needed. The cameras each provide a 185˚ viewing angle and are housed in a rugged nylon enclosure with stainless steel hardware, all of which can be painted to match the vehicle color. The included loomed video cables and wiring harnesses are designed to withstand the harshest outdoor elements, even complete submersion.

Q
Will this work on a factory head unit for a 2019 4Runner?
james  Aug 05, 2021

A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Will this work with Alpine WRA-X209 receiver?
shingo  Sep 13, 2020
1 answer
A
I believe you are referring to the X209-WRA receiver that is a custom-fit unit for some Jeep Wranglers. If that is correct, then it has one input for taking in universal backup cameras like these. We often carry camera switchers that could allow both of these cameras to work with it. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check our current product selection for a camera switcher.
