MTX MUD 100.2

Designed for small boats, motorcycles and powersports vehicles

Designed specifically for use on small boats, UTVs, sand rails, or motorcycles, MTX's MUD100.2 marine amplifier brings big sound to any vehicle or vessel. Rugged, efficient, and ready for adventure, this 2-channel amp will let you enjoy your tunes while you're having a good time.

Small, but mighty

The MUD100.2 is the most compact amp in the MTX line. In fact, it's the smallest amp they've ever made. Class D technology allows this diminutive amp to put out huge sound with remarkable thermal efficiency, delivering 50 watts RMS per channel (100 watts at 2 ohms) to your full-range speakers or small subs.

Ready to ride

MTX made this weather-resistant amp for on-road travel and off-road adventure, with a conformal coated circuit board and control covers that keep moisture from spoiling the fun. Its unique design includes a pigtail that contains the power, ground, and signal wires without the need for a connection directly at the amplifier. This pigtail protects the internal components from moisture, dirt, and other hazards, so you'll be able to have fun without worrying about how your amp's holding up.

Features

Overview: The MUD100.2 amplifier is a stereo Class D amplifier. It's designed for the outdoor environment with a conformal coated PCB and covered controls.

Controls: The controls are under rubber covers:

  • Crossover: three position switch; full range, low pass, or high pass; crossover point fixed at 80 Hz; slope 12 dB/octave
  • Level: rotary input gain knob; adjust to match the output of the source unit; 200mV-5V

Wiring: All the wiring is attached to the amp. Power and ground are bare wires (no terminal) and extend 19" from the amp. A 15-amp ATO fuse is in-line on the power wire. The other wiring terminates in a harness 7" from the amp. The included 12" input/output harness plugs in here and contains the stereo RCA inputs, speaker output wires, and remote turn-on.

Q
What is the wire and fuse size required? Can it be mounted under a Harley Dyna?
[ Lynn  Nov 18, 2015 ]

A
#10 wire and a 20a fuse will suffice. I mounted mine inside the fairing of my Victory Cross-Country, but as this amp is completely sealed, you should be able to mount it almost anywhere.
