About the Crux RVCCH-75EC Backup Camera System
The backup cam just for you
The backup cam just for you
Designed specifically for select 2011-up Chrysler and Dodge vehicles, this Crux RVCCH-75EC rear-view camera system allows you to integrate backup video into your Uconnect radio with an 8.4" screen. And no one will even notice, because the tiny rear-view camera is made to fit in the center brake light in your rear gate. The package includes the CH-75E rear-view camera, an interface and harness that connect to the factory radio, and a power/signal cable that you'll route from the camera to the front of your car.
Once installed, you'll see a generous, well-lit picture of what's behind you, with a 170-degree wide view and video capture down to 0.2 Lux for night driving. Crux also gives you the option to enable on-screen parking assist lines so you can gauge distance more easily.
NOTE: The Crux RVCCH-75EC backup camera system is only compatible with the Uconnect radio with 8.4” screen. Installation of the system will require you to drill a small hole in your center brake light in order to fit the camera into place (instructions are included).
Note: A rear-view camera provides an additional view when reversing your vehicle. It is intended to be used in conjuction with your rear- and side-view mirrors to give a fuller picture of what's behind you. It is not intended as a replacement for your mirrors.

Features
Sightline Series Rear-View Camera System: The Sightline series RVCCH-75E rear-view camera system by Crux has been specifically designed for select 2011-2016 Dodge & Chrysler vehicles that are equipped with a U-Connect factory radio. Now you can use your vehicle's factory radio to see what's behind you when backing up. The RVCCH-75E comes with an interface module and the necessary harnesses and cables to connect the rear-view camera to your vehicle's factory system.
Note: The RVCCH75-E rear-view camera is meant as a back-up aid only; never solely rely on the rear-view camera when backing-up. In addition to using the rear-view camera, always look behind you to make sure everything is clear when backing up your vehicle.
Vehicle Compatibility: The Sightline series RVCCH-75E rear-view camera system is compatible with the following 2011-2016 Dodge & Chrysler vehicles that feature a U-Connect factory radio with a 8.4" screen (as of 3/27/15).
Make | Model | Year |
Chrysler | 300 | 2011-2014 |
Dodge | Charger | 2011-2014 |
Journey | 2011-2016 |
Notes:
- Will not work with vehicles that have heated seats or heated steering wheel.
- Will not work with Unconnect radio's that come with factory Carplay or Android Auto.
- Will not work with 2015 Chrysler 300 without a separate CD slot.
Automatic Rear-View Switching: The RVCCH-75E features automatic rear-view switching. This means that when you place your vehicle in reverse gear, your factory radio's monitor will automatically switch over to the rear-view camera so you can see what's behind you immediately.
Park Assist Lines: The rear-view camera provides parking assist lines on the screen of your vehicle's in-dash factory radio. These parking lines are there to assist you when backing up into a parking space. There are two vertical lines which help you judge the left and right edges of the parking space and your vehicle. There are also 3 color-coded horizontal lines that are used to distinguish how close you are getting to the end of the parking spot - Yellow (Clear), Purple (Getting Close), Red (Very Close).
Flush Mount Design: You will need to drill a 18.5mm (5/8") hole in your vehicle's third brake light located on the trunk lid using the supplied hole saw drill-bit (drill not included). The rear-view camera mounts flush in this opening and features four spring clips to hold it in place.
Power/Ground & Signal Connections: The rear-view camera features an attached 19" power/signal cable which plugs into the included 20' composite video cable and 46" power/ground cable. The 20' composite video cable then connects to the included 13" vehicle/video harness, while the 46" power/ground cable must be hardwired to your vehicle's electrical system. There is a red lead on the 20' composite video cable that also needs to be hardwired to the the white lead on the included 9" vehicle/interface harness. The vehicle/video harness and vehicle/interface harness plug into the factory 22-pin connectors behind the factory radio, as well as plug into the rear-view interface module mounted behind the factory radio.
