Sonic excellence

I've had these speakers for about a month in my '99 Land Cruiser. All I can say is wow. I'm not going to say that I'm an audiophile but my ears know when they here something they like. I'm running these in the front doors in custom enclosures I built myself "they barely fit...barely". The door and door panel are heavily dampened. I also covered all the access hole in the door with 1/4" abs and rivnuts with foam insulation between the abs and the door metal. I'm running the Hertz MPX 165.3 in the rear doors with the same sound deadening, etc.. with a JL Audio 12W6 in a JL box specifically designed by JL all powered by a JL 900 5 channel amp. All I can say is wow!. There is a specific song I play to test speakers , it's Rocket Man by Elton John. The bass guitar followed by the guitar in the beginning makes other speakers sound muddy or just plain break up at higher volumes but these just shine. I've thrown The Beatles, Led Zeppeling "Into the light", Ozzy Osbourne "Diary of a Madman", ASAP Rocky, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Post Malone, Chris Stapleton, Spanish music, you name it. They just want more. I know it sounds cliche but you find yourself listening your favorite songs again because they sound different and most importantly better. You will hear new details especially in the bass guitar in songs. If you can get them to fit and don't mind the expense and take your music seriously, GET THEM!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Super speakers

This is not just a midrange; If installed properly and driven with the right kind of amplifier it is also a very powerful woofer. I have damped my vehicle very well and then powered this speaker with a high powered Class AB amp Like the Mosconi AS 2.200 (200 rms per channel). The sound is phenomenal and this speaker is a great value in high end car audio. It really is much better than the Uber expensive Focals and others.
