Features

Desktop Speaker Stands: The Kano SP9 desktop speaker stands measure 8.625" in height and bring your speakers into better alignment with your ears, letting you capture a wider range of frequencies. The SP9 desktop stands were designed to work perfectly with Kanto's YU4 powered speakers; use the screw hole on the base of each speaker and the included 1/4"-20 screws to securely fasten them to the stands. The SP9 desktop stands will also work with Kanto's YU2 powered speakers and other brands of speakers that are similar size and weight of Kanto YU series speakers. These desktop stands allow you to place your compatible speakers at ear-level for optimal listening enjoyment.

Note: 1/4"-20 screws are included to secure the Kanto YU4 speakers to the desktop stands; The Kanto YU2 and other brands of similiar size speakers will not use these screws.

Adjustable Top-Plates: Two top plate sizes are provided to mount the Kanto YU2 or YU4 powered speakers; or other compatible speaker brand. The top-plates allow you to rotate your speakers to the left or right 15 degrees to ensure every sound reaches your ears. The top-plates can be positioned at -15 degrees, 0 degrees, or +15 degrees. The adjustment must be done prior to mounting the top-plates to the upright posts.

  • Large Top-Plate Dimensions: 4.375" (w) x 7.125" (d)
  • Small Top-Plate Dimensions: 3.1875" (w) x 4.8125" (d)

Note: Your compatible desktop speakers should measure 3" to 5.5625" (w) x 5" to 10" (d), and weigh no more than 30 lbs.

Vibration Reduction: The SP9's heavy steel structure and closed cell foam padding further improve nearfield listening by significantly reducing vibration, leaving you with cleaner, more accurate sound. Surface vibrations caused by your speakers can result in muddy sound. The Kanto SP9 desktop speaker stands prevent this by utilizing heavy steel and closed cell foam padding to absorb as much resonance as possible.

Wire & Cable Management: The Kanto SP9 speaker floorstands feature hollow upright posts that allow you to easily route your power cable and speaker wire, ensuring they remain concealed. The power cable and/or speaker wire should be no larger than 0.25" in diameter.

Q
My speaker is 7''x7'' would that pose a problem for this speaker stand or would it work out alright?

A
I wouldn't place those speakers on these unless you know you will never bump the desk as they will easily tip over.

My speakers are 8" by 9" and I haven't had a problem with the stands. My speakers sound better being off the floor.
sylvester  Dec 02, 2020
A
My speakers are 7" x 8" base (Kanto TUC) and they look great on it. The base has a rubbery bottom so there is a little shake to it, if you poke them, but overall very sturdy.

Q
Can you buy just one?

Q
Can those be used (or adapted to use) with Klipsch The Fives speakers? Any suggestions?

A
Yes, it looks like you can use the Kanto stands with The fives. It says they have a cork bottom so you can mount them to the stands without damaging the speaker.

Yes and you can run your wires inside the speaker stands for a cleaner look.
sylvester  Jan 12, 2021
A
The Klipsch seem a bit taller but I think these would work. The part the speaker sits on has a pad so I don't think the speaker will move.

Yes I have the black stands with my Fives on them works fine
