I installed this unit in my daughter's 2020 Civic Sport Hatchback. The installation wasn't too bad given the adapter included. The volume is definitely higher now, but the subwoofer is a disappointment. It does hit for higher frequency bass, but lacks in the deep bass you would expect from a subwoofer. It should be considered a mid woofer instead. For music like "Cake by the Ocean", you can feel it. For tracks like "Dopeman by NWA", you will hear almost no bass. Disappointed. I installed a cheap Boss Subwoofer in my daughter's prior Prius, and that hit the lower frequencies harder. Doing more research after the fact, Alpine doesn't actual publish frequency response for this product. I'm wondering if the Cerwin Vega will hit harder. I was hoping to get more bass definition with this over the Boss, which I do get, but no lower frequencies. I would not recommend this product.
Pros: Easier installation, pre-cut wires, higher frequency bass only
Cons: No deep bass

Installed this in my '18 Civic along with some upgraded 50w (Crutchfield rep recommended) JVC speakers in the doors and back. I am disappointed on many levels. I could not tell a sound improvement with the new speakers/amp over the 25w factory. The subwoofer does put out some bass but it sounds 'cheap' and shallow (no matter how I adjust the settings on the sub). Yes, I realize that under-seat subs can only do so much. However, I had a Kenwood-equivalent under-seat subwoofer in a prior car that was MUCH better, and LESS expensive. The volume control on the subwoofer does not seem to do anything--when I initially tried to adjust the volume using the controller I thought it was disconnected, but nope it's connected just like instructions show. Alpine just throws the sub into a box and wraps it in some bubble wrap so the bracket was bent--but of course couldn't realize that until I had the whole passenger side of the car taken apart, so I just had to hammer it back close enough so it would mount under the seat. The ONLY 'good' thing I can say is the vehicle-specific wiring harness is easier than trying to splice cables but for what this cost I could have paid somebody else to install a better sounding system. I highly recommend staying away from this product. If I had not invested all the time and effort to install this, I would have sent it back.
Pros: Wiring Harness makes it easy to connect to existing Honda stock radio
Cons: amp does not make noticeable improvement on speaker output quality, bass from subwoofer sounds cheap and shallow, mounting bracket was bent due to cheap packaging by Alpine
