Jeep Wrangler Backup Camera Interface: The Alpine SGS-CH01 interface allows you to connect an aftermarket rear-view camera to compatible factory radios in 2007 - 2018 Jeep Wrangler JKs with no programming required. It includes a direct plug-in harness for adding Alpine's HCE-TCAM1-WRA spare tire mounted reverse camera (sold separately) as well as a composite video input that can be used with Alpine's HCE-C1100 rearview camera or HCE-RCAM-WRA spare tire camera (both sold separately), as well as most other brands of universal backup cameras.

Guide Lines: The SGS-CH01 can overlay guide lines on the camera view for select 2007 - 2010 Jeep Wrangler JK models and can overlay dynamic active guide lines on the camera view for select 2011 - 2018 Jeep Wrangler JKs. Active guide lines are especially helpful when maneuvering into tight parking spaces or avoiding obstacles.

Dual Camera Capability: The Alpine interface can be used in conjunction with the KCX-C2600B Universal Camera Switcher that allows you to add both a front and a rear camera to the factory radio (switcher and cameras sold separately). The KCX-C2600B includes a dash-mounted switch that lets you to toggle between the two cameras.

DIP/Pushbutton Switches: No flashing or programming is necessary for the interface module to work. Vehicle year is entered via a four DIP switch matrix on the back of the interface module. Three pushbuttons next to the DIP switches are used for entering and changing menu options. Menus are viewed on the factory screen while the vehicle is in reverse and the camera system is active.

Wiring: The SGS-CH01 interface includes a  22-pin T-harness that plugs in between the factory radio and the main factory harness. A 10-pin harness from this runs to the interface module, which gets mounted near the factory radio. The SGS-CH01 module includes a composite video Input and Output. The Input can come from the HCE-TCAM1-WRA spare tire mounted camera or from a universal backup camera. The composite video Output gets run to a Factory Camera Connector harness which plugs into the back of the factory radio. The interface module also includes a 6-pin harness designed to plug directly into the HCE-TCAM1-WRA spare tire camera, or can be cut off to provide power and ground to a universal camera. A Cam Trig wire is provided for an optional activation switch (sold separately) for manually switching the camera view onscreen, allowing you to monitor a trailer when towing. Guidelines are not displayed when the camera system is manually activated. The Cam Trig wire will activate the camera view as long as it receives 5 or more volts.
