Worthy materials

Alpine's carbon fibre-reinforced plastic woofer cones provide next-level sturdiness but are also agile enough to handle the complexities of the midrange. The big multi-roll rubber surround contributes to reduced distortion for a cleaner sound. Separate silk dome tweeters provide all the precise details that bring out the character of the instruments and vocals. If you've never experienced Alpine sound quality, these speakers are a great place to start.

Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications. Optional grilles are available for custom installations.

Q
Can these speakers handle Ruffle 100 watts Rms with the maxx being 240 and there Rated Rms @85?
jamie  Aug 13, 2022
1 answer
A
These can handle 100 watts RMS from an amp in certain situations, Jamie. The sweet Alpine S-S69C S-Series 6x9 is rated for 85 watts RMS, but if you use a high pass crossover on your amp to protect them from super low bass (lower than the 65hz these can play) you can power them with 100 watts RMS. These would sound really great in that setting! The extra high pass crossover also protects them so you don't damage them from overpowering, it's a win-win! These Alpine are some of my personal favorite with that smooth silk tweeter too, you can't go wrong Jamie.

I want to replace my 2014 Chrysler 300S front driver side door speaker cus it sounds like it's getting ready to blow soon. My car has the beats audio system. Will these work in the door without having to replace the dash tweeters?

Q
Will the Alpine S-S69C S series 6"x9 pair well with the Alpine R-S69 R series 6"x9? I am looking for a loud and clear with punchy bass speaker setup will these do that ?
emanuel  Apr 10, 2021

A
It's definitely loud and clear. Bass my not be what your expecting though. My set up is the alpine 6x9 component in the front doors and pillars w/ 6 1/2 alpine 2 way in back door w/ single Fosgate 10" in sealed box. Sounds good for me. The 6x9 component will give super clear and as loud as you can handle mid and highs but if your wanting punchy bass it would probably be wise to add at least a 8" sub to your system

Your sight says these will not fit front doors/dash in my 2017 tacoma sport. Other sights say they will. There a good match as I have 6 1/2 " 2 ways for the back already. Could you please verify?

They will fit with adaptors

They will fit in the door. However, please don't make the mistake that I did...if you have the JBL package, you will need to upgrade the entire sound system. The amp that comes with the Tacoma (JBL) is too weak to power these speakers. Speakers will be too dull if you do not upgrade other components with the stock JBL audio.

I have a 2017 tundra that said they won't fit and they did with no issue.
josh  Jan 02, 2021

Crutchfield said the same thing about these speakers for my 2009 Camry. The depth was the issue. However, the mounting brackets push the speakers out enough from the door so that they just fit without interfering with the window rolling down. I'd be will to bet these will fit your vehicle if you are using mounting brackets but I can't make any promises.

Q
Does anyone know where the T/S parameters for these things can be found?

I looked but...no bueno. I can tell you this. I have been doing car audio for 20 years. I have thes in a 2015 F150 door running active as a midbass/mid, bandpassed 80-1200 on a 24db slope. The doors are well sealed and running the driver IB. It rocks. Simple. Far more output than say, my older hybrid audio imagine 6.5's or silver flutes were capable of. Esoecially in the 60-100 range. They match awesome with my 2.5" cdt es02 that run from 1200+ They are ran off of an Alpine V9 5ch with over 125w rms available. If you are looking to use them in a similar application, don'tworry too much about the parameters. They are great 6x9's.

We don't have the ful T/S parameters for those speakers. You might try reaching out to Alpine directly to see if they will share that information. You can reach them here: 800-421-2284 .
