I have a 2003 Ford F150 Supercab and wanted better overall sound. I have a premium radio package from Ford's and wanted to maintain the factory appearance and head unit. I called Crutchfield's Service Advisors and they helped me choose these subs. Mounting depth is especially important in this application as the box and room under the back seat is very minimal in space. I have 2 of these 10" Subs loaded in my stealth box that fits snug under the back seat, with the relocation and modification of the jack. Powering them is the Alpine MRP-M500 giving them 250rms at 2ohms. WOW these things POUND!

I have a '07 Dodge quad cab with a Alpine 9856 head unit, a mrp 650 amp, and two Type S 10's mounted in a mtx thunderform box. It hits hard. I chose these subs because I am now in the high performance sub game but yet I am not so extreme where I have to buy a capacitator, bigger battery, high output alternator and spend money on a 1000 watt amp. For your money these 10s hit. You will be impressed with them for what they are.
