Sweet perfection

I give this review with 30 years of car audio listening experience. My old school picks were Phoenix gold, Rockford Fosgate, moving up to JL Audio in recent years. And I'll be blunt. for its size and quality, this amplifier is the best I have ever had by far. This thing screams my JL C3 650's in the front doors, and Focal coaxials in the rears. Wanna split your eardrums in two? I dare you to turn the gain up halfway. So do yourself a favor and get one of these ASAP!!
Pros: Precision. Crushes all day and barely warm to the touch.
Cons: Craptastic terminals.

Great amp lots of power and small size. Using it to push Alpine X-S65C 6 1/2 inch components and they rock.

Sounds great, poor connector design.
Adrian from Houston on 5/27/2020
The amp has a low noise floor and provides plenty of power, overall a great sounding amp. However, the wire connectors are of an absolutely horrid design, they are steel set screws with almost no threads on the female side which is made of soft aluminum, a poor design to say the least. During my first install it went smoothly, but after about a year I needed to rewire the amp, that is when the design flaw really became apparent, unless you are using heavy gauge wire be very careful, common 16-18 guage wire is borderline unusable unless you double it up by folding it over. Unexcusable for a $650 amp.
Pros: power low noise sound quality
Cons: shamefully bad wire connectors

Kool Amp, but.....

Excellent Power. Very very satisfied with the quality of sound this amp pumps. 4 star because of it's parts. The wire connectors are crap. The screw holding the wires will fall through the hole and will not come back out rendering that socket useless. I cannot fully rewire my system because I'm worried if I loosen the connectors, they will not tighten again. Of course alpine does not sell parts, the rep told me I would need to purchase another amp, just to replace a connector. Was able to find one online for $50. I would still recommend, just get it right the first time.
Pros: Sound quality Power
Cons: Wire connectors

Best 4 channel amp I've experienced.
Crutchfield customer from Steamboat Spr, CO on 10/3/2019
I really don't know where to begin. I got this amp, open box, to replace 2 rockford fosgate p400 amps I was using bridged before. I was just trying to downsize my amps while simultaneously upgrading to a higher quality amp. I didn't know how much I was missing out on. Literally everything sounds significantly better, even through the same speakers I was getting less distortion at high volumes. Really have to be careful with this amp as it can definitely cause some hearing issues. Before I had no problem going loud, but now I can go much louder while still sounding excellent. When I first got it I was powering my Rockford coaxial t165's up front, but swapped them to kicker ks components after the install. I now have this powering 2x 6.5" kicker ks components up front and 2xalpine spr-50's in the back. Paired with a pdx-m6 powering a ported JL 12w3v3. My system has never sounded this incredible before. It's really perfect and I don't know what I'd improve or change, I believe this will last me a very long time. Have it all crammed into a 2007 Subaru Impreza outback spor. Note for crutchfield: my car can fit 6.5's up front and 5.25's in the back and the best adapter is from iatuning. You guys should definitely stock their stuff specifically for Subaru impreza's.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Careful with the speaker wire holders, be sure you're using a large enough gauge wire. 14 ga was barely large enough. Seems like they expect larger wires to be used, but ofc doesn't need more.

Outstanding Amplifier
Crutchfield customer from Oxford, MA on 8/29/2019
I recently purchased an open box X-A70F. I was not sure what to expect with an open box item but once I opened it all concerns I had went away. Everything needed was included and all packaging was like it would be from the factory, no dents, dings, scratch's of any type. I have no idea if this was a return or just somehow got opened and they sold it as open box but I do not think it was ever used. Now for the amp absolutely love it! I have been doing car audio for over 20 years and wanted a SQL build. I am running the factory stereo (in dash Nav) through a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3. The X-A70F is running 2 sets of MTX SS7 custom mounted in the front and rear doors of my MKZ, with a X-A90M powering a single X-W12D4 in a ported box tuned to 34Hz the sound is Amazing. Easily puts the "premium" 8 channel ford system to shame in absolutely every aspect. By far the cleanest sound setup I have ever had or listened to for that matter. Crystal clean mids and highs at any volume level. I would not hesitate to buy another if I needed to setup another system.
Pros: very easy to install, small foot print, hours of listening barely gets warm at full volume
Cons: none that I have found

Give the Sonic some boom
Crutchfield customer from Jackson, MI on 8/19/2019
This amplifier paired with my Alpine speakers very well. It's compact enough to fit in my hatchback without taking up much space and provides enough power to drive the midrange frequencies as well as the high range frequencies with very little distortion. I don't have to turn the volume all the way to max to enjoy my music.

Zero Distortion, amazing sound!
Chris from Hollywood, FL on 5/12/2019
What I have: Honda Accord EX 2018, factory radio, Alpine 70x amplifier, virtus 602 front, and tempo ultra integra back. Everything looks factory. Zero distortion. Perfect highs and mids, and good enough base. My amplifier's gain is just slightly above its minimum, for both front and rear speakers. I absolutely love the sound produced from the amplifier. I get zero distortion. When a song produces a pause of sound, you hear nothing, like its supposed to sound. I love how the amplifier has an active crossover, which I keep both front and rear speakers at not playing anything lower than 60 hz. Also, the sound of the my system is perfect at low, mid, or high volumes - although, I just want quality sound at regular volumes, and my system produces that want, QUALITY. My car does not need any sound processors, so if you have my same car, I wouldn't recommend you spend the money on it.
Pros: Active crossover No distortion Great RMS watts Small size of amplifier

Running it with 2 pairs of alpine type r's and it really packs a punch! I am not sure how it compares to PDX-F4 and that series but it is a lot more clean and clear compared to the MRV-F300. If you really want the best of the best for this class don't hesitate.
Pros:
Cons: It's more expensive than some cars.
