Ride Command Interface

RFPOL-RC5: The Rockford Fosgate RZR14RC-STAGE5 add-on speaker system has been designed for select 2014-2021 Polaris RZRs equipped with a Ride Command factory sound system. The included RFPOL-RC5 interface allows you to upgrade the sound system, while keeping the Ride Command headunit. The interface features pre-attached Molex harnesses that simply plug in-line with the output of the Ride Command, allowing the output signal to be fed to the included 5-channel amplifier and speakers. Other features include:

• Noise Elimination: The RFPOL-RC5 features circuitry that's been engineered to eliminate the turn-on pop common with all Ride Command units. It also helps eliminate noise in UTVs equipped with Dynamix suspension systems caused by switching between Firm, Sport, and Comfort ride modes.
• Crossover: The audio interface utilizes the built-in crossovers in the Ride Command, which include a 100Hz HP filter for the 4 main speakers, and a 100Hz LP filter for the subwoofer.
• Headunits: The RFPOL-RC5 interface is compatible with both 5-button and 7-button Ride Command headunits.

Vehicle Compatibility: The RZR14RC-STAGE5 upgrade sound system is compatible with the following model Polaris RZR vehicles

5-Channel Amplifier

5-Channel Amplifier: The included TM1000X5ad is a full-range 1000W amplifier rated at 100 watts x 4-channel (4O) + 600W x 1 (2O). As part of the RZR14S5 installation package, the 5-channel amplifier powers both pairs of the included full-range speakers, while the 5th mono channel powers the included subwoofer. Pre-formed wiring harnesses for the amplifier and the speakers are provided, greatly reducing the installation time.

• Class-AD: The TM1000X5ad features Rockford Fosgate's proprietary Class-AD technology, allowing it to produce more power with less current draw from the vehicle's charging system.
• Constant Power: Constant Power is a patented circuit topology that provides instantaneous delivery of output power with varying impedance loads. This means the amp can provide 100 watts of continuous power (RMS) into either a 4- or 2-ohm load.
• C.L.E.A.N. Setup: The TM1000X5ad features clip LED indicators for both inputs and outputs, helping you easily match the source to the amp.
• 3-Stage Airflow: Air vents in all 4 corners of the amp provide air-flow through internal channels on both sides of the circuit boards. Working in conjunction with laterally mounted heat-sinks, this effectively exhausts heat, allowing the amp to run cooler for optimum performance.
• DSM (Discrete Surface Mount): In the manufacturing process high speed robotics are used to place 1% tolerance parts and large board traces. DSM improves the efficiency of the circuit, decreases cross-talk from other discrete components and lowers operating temperature.
• Element Ready: Rockford Fosgate's "Element Ready" classification means the TM1000X5ad is well protected against dust, UV rays, and corrosion, with conformal coated PCB boards and stainless steel hardware.
• Controls: The TM1000X5ad offers a variety of controls to fine tune your system.
  • Clip Indicators: Both sets of input channels include Clip indicators for both the inputs and outputs.
  • Input Level: The front and rear channels have independent input level (gain) controls, adjustable from 150mV to 12V.
  • 2/4 Channel: When using only one set of inputs, set this switch to 2-channel and connect the inputs.
  • Crossover: The front and rear channels have independent 3-way crossover switches. Each can be set to low-pass, all-pass (crossover is bypassed), or high-pass.
  • Frequency: Working in conjunction with the Crossover Switches, two Frequency dials determine the cutoff frequency, ranging from 50Hz - 250Hz.
  • Punch EQ: This control also works in conjunction with the Crossover by creating a boost at the cutoff frequency, either for high-pass or low-pass settings. If the Punch EQ is turned up when the Crossover is set to AP (all-pass), both bass and treble frequencies will be boosted.
  • Power LED: The Power/Protect LED on the front of the amp illuminates blue when the amp is turned on and operating normally; it illuminates red when one of the protection circuits has engaged (short circuit, impedance too low, or temperature too high).
• Connections: The TM1000X5ad features the following power, signal input, and speaker output connections.
  • Power Connections: The power, ground, and remote turn-on terminals are c-clamps on a removable plug, with each terminal accommodating up to 8-gauge wire. A Phillips-head screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
  • Signal Input:  The TM1000X5ad is compatible with either line-level (RCA) or speaker-level inputs. The included input harnesses have Molex plugs on one end (plugs into the amp) and female RCA plugs on the other. When using speaker-level inputs the RCA end is removed and the four individual wires are used.
  • Speaker Output: The included speaker output harnesses have Molex plugs on one end (plugs into the amp) and bare wires on the other.
  • Remote Punch Level: An RJ-45 socket is provided for plugging in an optional wired remote control (sold separately), such as the PMX-1R marine wired remote control.

4 Speakers & Subwoofer

6.5" Front Speakers w/ Pods: The two fiber reinforced composite blend 6.5" front speaker enclosures are designed to be a direct fit for select Polaris RZR model ATVs. The included PM2652B marine speakers mount perfectly in these enclosures.  Rockford Fosgate uses industry standard tests (ASTM B117 salt/fog and ASTM D4329 sunlight, moisture, and heat) to ensure the PM2652B speakers will provide optimum performance in the difficult outdoor environment.  All necessary mounting hardware is included. The mounting hardware is stainless steel to resist corrosion.

• Tweeters: The 1" aluminum dome tweeters are designed for high output and sonic clarity and are coated to protect them from the elements and UV radiation. The tweeters are bridge mounted, useful in a marine speaker because there's no opening through the middle of the woofer for the mounting post is needed. This also allows full excursion of the woofer cone.
• Woofers: The woofer cones are injection molded, mineral filled polypropylene with UV inhibitors. This molding process assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. The woofer cone is held in place by a Thermo-Plastic Elastomer (TPE) surround, designed for maximum cone control and excursion. Both drivers are mounted in a Centrex plastic, injection-molded frame assembly that has been treated for UV radiation and salt/fog resistance.
• ICC Crossover: The ICC (Integrated Concealed Crossover) simplifies installation and protects the crossover by concealing it inside the basket, creating a cleaner look and easier installation. The crossover is 12 dB/octave high pass.
• Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.

6.5" Enclosed Speakers: The Rockford Fosgate PM2652W-MB "Element Ready" speakers consist of a set of PM2652 marine-grade speakers loaded into sealed enclosures. The enclosure & grille are constructed of high density poly-ethylene and coated with a UV inhibitor to withstand mud and dirt, as well as the harsh marine environment.  Both speakers and enclosures conform to UV and Salt-Fog industry standards.

• Two-Way Driver Design: The Rockford Fosgate PM2652W-MB wakeboard tower speakers come loaded with Rockford's Punch Series PM2652 marine drivers.
  • 1" Tweeter: The 1" aluminum dome tweeters are designed for high output and sonic clarity.  The tweeters are bridge mounted, useful in a marine speaker because no opening through the middle of the woofer for the mounting post is needed.

This molding process assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response. The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size of the basket.
  • ICC Crossover: The ICC (Integrated Concealed Crossover) protects the crossover by concealing it inside the basket. The crossover is 12 dB/octave high pass.
  • Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
• Marine Tested: Rockford Fosgate uses industry standard tests (ASTM B117 salt/fog and ASTM D4329 sunlight, moisture, and heat) to ensure the PM2652W-MB will provide optimum performance in the difficult marine environment.
  • ASTM B117 salt/fog test standard provides accelerated aging in a controlled corrosive environment to produce relative corrosion resistance information for specimens of metals and coated metals.
  • ASTM D4329 test standard is intended to induce property changes associated with end-use conditions, including the effects of sunlight, moisture, and heat.
• PM-CL2B Mounting Clamps: The Rockford Fosgate PM2652W-MB speakers come with cast-aluminum mounting hardware to mount the wakeboard tower speakers to an ATV roll-bar. The Rockford Fosgate Polaris audio system also includes a set of PM-CL2B mounting brackets that allow the speaker to be mounted to tubing from 1" to 2" in diameter. The brackets allow the speakers to be rotated almost 360° for unlimited flexibility.

10" Subwoofer: The T1S2-10 is a black Power 10", single 2-ohm subwoofer rated at 500W RMS/1000W Peak that has been designed for marine watercraft or powersports applications. The woofer is fitted with spring-terminals for the speaker connections.

• VAST Surround: Rockford Fosgate's proprietary surround technique, VAST, provides up to a 25% increase in the speakers effective radiating cone area without complicated installation issues. This design alters the typical design and manufacturing technique by eliminating the large flat glue surface area (the landing), which allows the surround to be shifted for increased cone area. In turn, both nominal efficiency and maximum output capabilities are dramatically improved.
• Split Yoke Motor Technology: This unique motor structure design allows full excursion capabilities of the woofer's voice coil while allowing an overall reduction in mounting depth.
• Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former: Rockford Fosgate subwoofer uses an anodized aluminum voice coil former for superior heat dissipation (up to 100° at full power levels). Unlike traditional plastic substitutions, aluminum acts like a heat-sink to quickly dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil. This keeps the subwoofer cool during high SPL conditions.
• Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.

Subwoofer Enclosure: The Power 10" woofer mounts to the included fiber-reinforced, composite-blend subwoofer enclosure which is designed to be a direct fit for select Polaris RZR model ATVs. The enclosure's texture and color is matched to the ATV's interior. The enclosure bolts in directly to factory mounting holes and offers a stealth install once mounted and body panels are replaced.
