About the Rockford Fosgate T1650
The tweeter is mounted on an offset suspension system, minimizing any acoustic reflections.
Rockford Fosgate builds their Power Series speakers for people who won't put up with inferior sound in their cars. These Power T1650 6-1/2" speakers utilize advanced design elements to ensure that they'll deliver superior sound in your vehicle for a long, long time. The lightweight polypropylene cone is reinforced with strong carbon fibers so it'll keep its shape when you're pushing the speaker hard. You'll hear accurate midrange and bass reproduction, while the 1" aluminum dome tweeter makes the high frequencies sparkle. These speakers will handle up to 75 watts RMS so you'll want to use an outboard amplifier to get the most out of them.
Signature Rockford Fosgate design
Proprietary VAST™ technology increases the woofer's cone area without increasing the size of the basket. This larger cone gives you deeper lows and more power handling, and it's supported by a durable rubber surround that's designed to last a long time. Rockford Fosgate mounts the tweeter on an offset suspension system, minimizing any acoustic reflections from back of the tweeter and maximizing accuracy. And open slots on the frame make it easier to install these speakers if the factory holes are slightly off, especially in certain European imports.

Rockford Fosgate T1650 reviews
2017 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classic 2 sets of TMS 65 1 set of T1650 1 Fosgate Power TM400x4ad amp Its loud...but even adding another set of speakers to the bike, you just cant get any bass out of it..sounds great when the bike is not running but the exhaust note is overpowering when riding. Otherwise, very clean sound and gets as loud as you want...
Pros: Crystal clear and LOUD
Cons: Dont expect woofer bass on a bike regardless of the speaker unless you plan on turning the saddlebags into woofer enclosures!

These speakers sound great, even with only the low power from a head unit. However, to reach their potential they definitely need more power. The tweeter extends around an inch in front of the speaker making it hard to fit behind factory grills.
Pros: Great sound, loud, and responsive across a wide frequency range.
Cons: The tweeter extends around an inch from the front of the speaker, making it hard to mount behind factory grills.

Great speakers, especially for the price. Had the ran off of a Rockford Fosgate Prime 300.4 .. They exceeded my expectation by far. Recently upgraded to the Rockford Fosgate T2650 component set which are also an outstanding set.
Pros: Great sounding, even off a headunit. But has to be a good clean sound headunit such as pioneer.

I have these in the back doors of my 2014 Subaru Impreza hatchback. You need spacers for them to fit in this car (fastwrx). There was a bit of static for about a week until they were broken in. now they sound amazing. I currently have them powered from my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX I plan on applying dynamat to my doors and adding a 4 channel amp at some point .
Cons: A small amount of static while they were in the brake-in period.

I installed these speakers in the dash and knee warmer locations on my SG, with the PBR 400x4 amp. They rock. Even at hwy speeds
Pros: Polyurethane cones hold up in the weather
Cons: They are a lil pricey,

Did not hold up even on 50 rms a piece from an Alpine mrv-f300. They sound flat and/or muffled or something. My cheaper alpine speakers sound better... I have an 8 year old set of alpine 6.5s that sound better than these.
Pros: Seems like a great design
Cons: My tweeter mount was loose, and inly tighted once mounted in the door. The mount screw goes through the prong that holds the tweeter, tightening it... They simply do not sound like they're worth what I paid.

Injection-Molded Woofers: The woofer cones are injection-molded carbon fiber filled polypropylene. This molding process assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also light weight and rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.
Klippel Verified: The Klippel distortion analyzer, a device that uses a laser and sophisticated software to do large-scale analysis of drivers in motion, lets Rockford Fosgate optimize the speaker's motor structure, voice coil alignment, and suspension to yield the best possible performance.
VAST Surround: The Vertical Attach Surround Technique (VAST) increases a speaker's effective radiating cone area without increasing the size of the basket.
FlexFit 2 Basket: The FlexFit 2 frame utilizes slots (where possible) instead of single screw sized holes; allowing slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.
Size Classification Note: Some manufacturers, including Rockford Fosgate, call this size speaker a 6-1/2". Because it requires a larger cutout than a standard 6-1/2" speaker, Crutchfield has traditionally referred to this size woofer as a 6-3/4". Please refer to the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm fit in your vehicle.
Tweeters: Each speaker features a 1" treated aluminum dome tweeter mounted to an offset cantilever to eliminate frequency response anomalies due to acoustic reflection between the woofer cone and the rear of tweeter. The tweeters are angled so you can direct them toward the listening positions.
Speaker Terminals: These speakers have 0.25" wide positive (+) terminals and 0.187" wide negative (-) terminals, which are too large for the vehicle-specific speaker harnesses Crutchfield supplies for many vehicle applications. We recommend that a pack of assorted female quick slides (item number 120FQS10PK, sold separately) be purchased and spliced to the harnesses to adapt them to the speaker terminals.
