Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
Bought the main unit a while ago and now needed a cable to replace the original. Crutchfield (athena) had it in stock and I ordered it today. Fast customer service and easy to order. Thank you Athena. [ allan  Mar 13, 2019 ]

I have the older cable that does not charge iPod/iphone and my daughter uses her phone for music using the USA SPEC PA-12 interface through the cars factory XM module. Im hoping this works to charge her phone while playing music, other wise I may have to look to upgrade her head unit to a newer model that supports bluetooth streaming. [ Brett  Jan 20, 2019 ]

This is a direct fit replacement classic ipod interface cable for the USASpec ipod audio/text interface compatible with multiple BMW vehicles. My 2003 X5 was used when I purchased it and the previous owner had the PA-12BMW interface professionally installed. The power seat ended up severing the cable and required replacement. I listen to podcasts while driving. The USA Spec allows me to connect directly to my OEM stereo head unit seamlessly. The sound is excellent. I purchased my USA Spec while using iPhones that had the older connector. Once I got a newer iPhone, I purchased the Apple lightning adapter, and everything continues to function perfectly.
