About the Sound Ordnance Bass Bunker

These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. The BB122-175V ported enclosure holds two 12" subwoofers and offers an internal volume of 1.61 cubic feet per chamber. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right subs, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB122-175V Bass Bunker is an unloaded, hatchback-style ported enclosure for two 12" subwoofers. It is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Internal Box Volume: The enclosure has two separate chambers, each with 1.615 cubic feet of airspace.

Terminals: The BB122-175V is equipped with two pair of spring-post speaker terminals, one for each chamber, mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire up to 10 gauge, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, each set of terminals has an attached 24" length of speaker wire for connecting the subwoofer.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosure to your vehicle are recommended.

will this work with sundown 12 classics?
[ Brent  May 29, 2021 ]

A
It's slightly under the recommendation for that specific woofer but I would think it fine. I ran multiple subs in this box. Deaf bonce machete mf also ran 2 incriminatory audio I series also skar svr. All sounded good it's probably one of the best prefab box.

Unfortunately we don't take measurements of the bed of trucks. The measurements of the Ported dual 12" subwoofer enclosure (Model BB122-175V) are 32-3/4"W x 15-1/8"H x 15-7/8"D1 x 12-7/8"D2.

Q
Will the P3 4 ohm punch fit in this particular box???
[ Shawn  Oct 25, 2020 ]
2 answers
A
Absolutely.......careful about how much power you run to it........its only 5/8 mdf
[ CASEY  Oct 27, 2020 ]
A
Yes it is almost perfect air space......its about .7 off for total cubic volume but beware that this enclosure is made out of 5/8 mdf so i am reluctant to put over 700-800 watts to it for fear it may crack a seal..........then you're out 2 subs and a box. I do have around 600 watts into mine w a pair of orion xtr 12's and its obnoxious in a hatchback vehicle.........had to double layer the dynamat
[ CASEY  Oct 27, 2020 ]
Q
Is this really 1.61 cu ft INTERNAL EACH CHAMBER ???
[ jay  Jul 21, 2020 ]

A
1.42 each.........triangular port is .19 each..........subsonic frequency setting at 28 hz
[ CASEY  Oct 27, 2020 ]
A
Yes

Q
Would this be a good match with two JL Audio 12W0v3-4?
[ Toker  Feb 18, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
Yes air is 1.6 per chamber where the jl's call for 1.75 per chamber so you are close enough to put a solid 500 to it before any distortion factors in. Sub wont fit super snug but more than adequate for a ported box
[ CASEY  Oct 27, 2020 ]
Q
Will this fit the kenwood subs you sell?
[ Jesse  Nov 30, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
That depends on the subs. One of our advisors would love to help you match up subs, boxes, and amps. https://www.crutchfield.com/support/ContactUs.aspx

Q
Will these fit 2 Infinity Kappa 1200W subwoofers? Thanks
[ Ricky  Jul 26, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
No, the cutout diameter of those subs are 11-3/16" (if I found the right ones without a model number) and the cutout diameter of the holes in the box are 11-1/16". It's rather difficult to find a box with 11-3/16' holes.
