Module required for this installation

Retained features

With any car stereo, this package retains your factory amplifier (if equipped) and your backup camera. Install an iDatalink-compatible car stereo from Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, or Pioneer, and you'll also retain your truck's SYNC features, including hands-free calling and music streaming.

With an iDatalink-compatible receiver, you'll be able to use your receiver's touchscreen to check your tire pressure, battery voltage, and "door ajar" warnings. You'll also be able to choose which gauges you'd like to appear on the screen, and you'll even be able to check the engine codes when a warning light comes on.

Not impressed

Guest from Fincastle, VA on 7/12/2019

Paired with the Alpine radio there is absolutely no indication of warm-cool setting or fan speed. It's a big guess. A pointer on the knobs would be helpful. Also when pushing the buttons all the indicators go off then back on. My fan knob broke and will fall off if not careful.

Pros: Perfect fit. Color matches dash.

Cons: See review

2013 Ford F-150 XLT

Looks great, just like original equipment. The only reason I did not rate 5 stars is that I had to enlarge the opening for the head unit to use it with the Pioneer AVH4500NEX. I used with the Maestro module for my 2013 F-150 and retained the steering wheel controls. I could not make Sync and Wireless apple car play to work concurrently so I installed the microphone that came with the head unit.. When installing with the Maestro module and a new head unit there is A LOT of wires. If you are not comfortable with wiring diagrams you might not want to attempt this on your own.

Pros: Retains stock look of the dash.

Cons: Had to enlarge the opening for the radio to work with the Pioneer radio listed above.

Looks nearly identical to the stock F150 (2014) XLT console - however, there is about 4mm of offset at the base. Nearly unobservable unless you put your head under the console (under the level of the seat). Adds a lot of needed storage space to the dash area.

Pros: Looks great - matches stock Easy install Adds storage space on the XLT

Only have had for two weeks. Sometimes, the climate controls aren't detected when turning on vehicle (meaning last setting stays on which meant a hot ride one day). No issue found by Crutchfield. Happened again a few days later, but issue was corrected when I shut off then restarted vehicle. Other than that, no other issues.

Pros: Pleased with match to OEM.

The K150 Dash Kit looks great and definitely looks OEM. My only complaint however is the HVAC control knobs. They spin and don't have stops like the OEM knobs. It takes a few clicks for the knobs to respond. Not a deal breaker, but takes getting used to.

Pros: Looks like it came from the factory.

Cons: HVAC knobs take some getting used to. They rotate without stops like the OEM knobs. It takes a few clicks as you rotate the knobs for them to function.

Excellent product - looks factory original and easy to install. High quality materials - cosmetically this is identical to factory original (OEM) in look, feel and surface textures. I used this with an Alpine ILX-107 and the total install looks factory original. The integration to the car via the Maestro RR interface is extremely well done. The operation of the controls for the HVAC are a little different from original: the Ford OEM knobs turn from one stop (minimum) to another stop (maximum) with a lit indicator to show the setting. These knobs are continuous turning with no indicator - it displays the settings on your radio's screen for a few seconds as you make changes. Once you get used to that, it's fine. This is minor change considering how it allows you to have the latest and best head-units and still keep the high quality look of your interior.

Product looks and feels very close to OEM equipment. Was installed in my 2014 F150 with the RR module and the F02 wiring kit, using a Kenwood 893S head unit. Works flawlessly, massive upgrade to the standard 4.2" screen. Very impressed with this unit, would recommend it to anyone that wants an upgrade. I now have more features than the My Ford Touch system, and it all looks stock, which is great.

Pros: Looks and feels like OEM equipment Huge upgrade on standard 4.2" screen lots of guidance & guides through the datalink website

Cons: None that I can see

Just as the other reviews state. This is the best install kit available for the 2014 f150. Great fit an finish makes it look factory. Very good product. Hvac controls take some getting use to. Like getting use to seeing my settings on my head units display. Absolutely a must to get iDatalink maestro module if you want it to work properly.

Cons: It's petty. I would like to see the yellow led's match the Ford OEM color. Other than that.......nothing.

Very nice addition for your truck if you have the 4.3 inch screen. It already has the iDataLink built in and has the mount for your radio built in also. The only problem I had was I had to shave a little off on the edges of the opening for my Pioneer 4100 to open and close when loading movies. Great product and great looking on my trcuk

Pros: has a mount for the radio built in it. Has the USB mounts and a small holder on the bottom

Cons: Had to shave the corners of the opening to allow for my radio to open and close when inserting movies

This gets rid of that little blue screen and allows for a factory look with new radio. The finish perfectly matches the stock finish of the original plastic panel. The added pocket with USB, AUX and HDMI is a nice convenience too. Easy install and with Maestro RR, I was able to retain Sync as well as factory bluetooth connection for phone (no extra mics run). Highly recommend this one. It's worth the money!

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

I used the iDatalink K150 because it replaced the factory dash kit and maintained all of the functionality of the original. Also I liked the head units placement on top of the AC controls and the pocket has 2 USB ports perfect to hook up and hold my Android phone for Android Auto. This allows me to hide the 2 USB cables coming from the Kenwood DDX9903 and use a 6 inch USB charging cable to hook up my phone. I thought that the AC control function could have been more like the factory controls, especially the fan and temperature. guess I'll just have to get used to it.

Pros: Factory appearance, placement of AC controls, placement of 2 USB ports in pocket, convenience of hooking up phone

Cons: AC temp and fan control functions

This is a really nice product as it completes the system and looks like it was from the factory.

Pros: Looks great! Functions well.

Cons: The mounting tabs as the top should be made of metal, like the factory panel in the 2013 F150. Climate controls are a little odd, and the LED indicators could be brighter.

Verified employee purchase (What's this?)

This is a perfect snap-in replacement for the factory dash kit and maintained all of the functionality of the original setup. I don't like the HVAC controls as much as the factory setup because these dials roll either way infinitely and only adjust the fan and temp in relative terms...in other words, the "fan" knob doesn't point to a specific fan speed, you just twist it clockwise for more fan and counterclockwise for less fan. Same goes for temp. This is mildly annoying because you cannot glance at the controls and know where your HVAC settings currently are. You only find out after turning a knob or entering the Climate menu on the receiver. Doesn't probably sound like a big deal until you are feeling cold air through the vents and aren't sure whether it's because the engine hasn't warmed up or because the the temp knob is turned too low. Other than than issue, it's an excellent kit to allow you to put a decent stereo where Ford did not.

Pros: Convenient cubby, perfect fit, additional USB and line ports, including HDMI

Cons: HVAC controls are not as convenient as factory controls

This dash kit is perfect for replacing the stock radio in my 2013 F-150! Looks 100 % factory. Great build quality. I saw a couple other dash kits on the internet. Avoid those and get this bad boy. It is the ONLY way to go.

Pros: Quality, style, looks like original equipment.

Cons: If I'm being picky, the little LEDs on the climate buttons aren't real bright. Not a problem.

Tried the Metra kit/harness combo for this truck.. don't waste your time. I can't speak to the Scosche kit, but just based upon the fit and finish of this kit I can say that there's no reason to get anything else. This looks and feels factory. The climate controls are a work of art, the pocket with integrated USB, Aux, and HDMI is genius, and as always Maestro's features when used with supporting radios is second to none. If you have the MyFord F150 and need a new radio there's no need to even consider the other options!

Pros: Fantastic fit and finish, looks OEM Pocket features various female inputs for a truly factory looking installation of radios with rear inputs Flashing the Maestro harness is easy, good instructions

Cons: The real awesome juicy features Maestro offers are only available on certain DDIN radios.

Nice unit keeps the factory look, it also keeps the original texture of the original radio face.

Pros: Keeps factory look and knobs. Would do it again.

Cons: You loose the outside temperature that usually appears on the factory radio. Heat and air shows up strictly as numbers. I believe it's like 1-30, 1 being coldest and 30 being warmest. It's not bad, just different.

This was the only dash kit I would consider for the 2013-2014 F150 with the 4.2 screen. There are others out there but this is the only one that looks oem for this price point. Also the support from idatalink/Maestro is great. I waited a long time for this kit and it was worth it. Would definitely buy again.

Pros: Oem look, provides you with extra usb, hdmi. 3.5 ports. Handy cubby hole great support.

Cons: Climate controls operate a bit differently but Maestro support says an update is at hand. Not a deal breaker by any stretch.

Q
Will this fit for my 2014 Ford F-150 limited truck ?

A
Yes, but it will not be an exact fit and make sure you buy the module for the aftermarket radio to plug into the vehicle or it will not work
[ Brett  Feb 20, 2019 ]
A
If your Truck has the 4" screen this will work perfect. I have it in my 2014 F150 and it looks factory. Great product

A
Does your heater controls look like those controls, if so it will fit
[ mid life crisis  Feb 16, 2019 ]
A
It fit my 2014 f150 xlt screw like a glove. Not sure of differences in limited. I also bought the module to keep steering controls and factory sync functioning. When matched with a stereo that supports its perfect.
[ Daniel  Feb 16, 2019 ]
A
I'm sure it will. I put this unit in a 2014 F150 XLT.

Q
How do you get the USB's built in to the dash to not push in when you try to plug something in?

A
I installed mine almost a year ago, but I don't remember having any trouble clicking the USB ports in place and they do not "push in" when I plug something into them - they remain firmly fixed to the dash kit. One of them has my 64 GB music drive always plugged firmly into it. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
[ David  Jan 12, 2019 ]
A
I have not had that problem. I plugged in all the harnesses and all works as it should.
[ Clyde  Jan 11, 2019 ]
A
Sounds like you got a faulty one.
[ Chris  Jan 11, 2019 ]
A
i have not had that problem. I would say to make sure they are snapped into the unti firmly.

A
The 4.2" screen is removed. The head unit that you install will be your display. Also, you may be able to pick up a few new OEM features like tire pressure display and additional guages.
[ ALAN  Jun 20, 2017 ]
A
It is removed.
[ Dillon  Jun 18, 2017 ]
A
It's completely removed and no longer in place.
[ Brian Swett  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
The 4.2 inch screen is removed and not used.
[ Dennis  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
You take it out.
[ Bryan  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
You remove it and replace it with a double din unit.
[ NICHOLAS  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
Gone. This replaces that
[ NICHOLAS J  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
It comes out as a unit. The large screen then takes the place of that smaller one.
[ Craig  Jun 17, 2017 ]
A
This replaces that screen entirely. When I installed mine with a kenwood 5902 double din I retained all the functions that the 4" screen had using the idata link meastro module and wiring harness. You can maintain sync but I honestly disabled sync 2 months after because it was laggy.

Where does the hazard button and passenger airbag indicator get relocated? I have a 2014 Ford -F-150 with the 4.2" screen.

They move to the group of buttons with the climate control. If you zoom in to the picture you can see the hazard button is the bottom left and the passenger airbag is on the bottom right.
[ Adam  Aug 16, 2015 ]
A
these buttons get relocated into the cluster located beliw headuniit. I highly reccomwnd this unit I tried others and they did not have the OEM look I was looking for, plus this pits the screen up at the top versus at bottom like others
[ THOMAS L  Aug 15, 2015 ]
