Q
I see this works with Kenwood receivers . Does the GPS adapter work with JVC, since they are made by the same company? This question was asked before but the answer was confusing.

Greetings Jeffrey, and thank you for the question. In order to keep the factory GPS and satellite antenna. the stereo from Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer or yes JVC must either have built in navigation, or wireless Carplay/Android auto because those all have a GPS antenna. Now JVC stereos do not come with built in navigation for some time now, they would have to have wireless Carplay/Android auto. To utilize the satellite radio portion of your factory antenna, you would also need an aftermarket satellite radio tuner as these stereos do not have satellite radio built in.

Yes I did use it, On my Toyota Tacoma there were recommendation (on the web I believe) to use the provided GPS antenna that came with the radio (Kenwood), I tried that but found the factory installed (Toyota installed) was much better. In that case you need the GPS cable.

Q
Are the connectors inside the green ends round or square ?

It is round so it can connect to the SXV300V1 antenna input

Q
Will this work on tacoma 2011 with pioneer head unit not an avic nex pooneer?
raydell  Oct 24, 2020

I'm not 100% sure, but it should work. It's not head unit specific, it's vehicle make specific. I found out about in a youtube Toyota aftermarket stereo installation tutorial. My vehicle is a 2014 Tundra.

Will this work in a 2020 Tacoma?

Well, I guess I need to know what you are doing. Are you replacing the radio/receiver in your truck? If so, will you need to purchase a separate Sirrus receiver? That is what the cables are for...to connect the radio/receiver, Sirris/XM and GPS together.
david  Sep 23, 2020
Q
Will this connect to a JVC head unit? It says it will connect to my 2018 Tundra's factory gps antenna, but what about the other end?

A
The other end is actua lly your GPS cable, just connect it! Keep in mind when you start to disconnect the factory stereo look at the cables your disconnecting from the back.

Q
Doors this adapter work in a 2016 Scion FR-S that had a factory nav radio?
george  May 08, 2019

A
Those do not. We do not know of a way to retain the GPS and Satellite antennas in that vehicle. You would need to run the included GPS antennas/satellite antennas with your aftermarket headunit or satellite tuner.

Has anyone tried this on a 2012 Tundra? Specs say it doesn't fit but I can't find any adapter for the 2012 Tundra.

I tried it with a 2017 Tundra and a Pioneer receiver. It has the correct ends and fits but the Toyota factory antenna isn't compatible. Didn't work

This was a direct fit for my 2014 Tacoma. I used the GPS and Sirius XM adapter on my pioneer 8200nex
burke  Oct 30, 2018
Q
Is there a similar adapter that's longer? This product seems to be what I need to use the factory antenna on my 2019 Tacoma to portable Sirius unit....but 9" length will be a problem. Thanks.
charlie  Oct 25, 2018

A
Sorry, no; the adapters are made to connect the factory antennas to the aftermarket hideaway SiriusXM tuner and/or aftermarket GPS stereos inside the dash.
