Product Research

Features

USB/Aux Adapter: The iDatalink ACC-USB-HK2 is a USB/Aux adapter for select 2015-2020 Hyundai & Kia vehicles. The ACC-USB-HK2 replaces the factory Media Hub circuit board in the center console of your compatible Hyundai or Kia vehicle, so that you can retain your vehicle's factory USB port and Aux input when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket head unit that features a rear-panel USB port and rear-panel Aux input.

  • The ACC-USB-HK2 can be used with or without the Maestro RR/RR2 radio replacement interface module and vehicle specific harness (both sold separately). See Installation Guide for further instructions.
  • As long as your new car stereo has a high-amperage charging port (1.5A or greater), this USB adapter harness should support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operation. However, the number of variables involved means we can't guarantee compatibility.

Q
I am needing help understanding this uHK2, I have a 2016 Kia Optima LX and I'm looking to upgrade my factory stereo with a updated one. I do not have a Maestro Module/ T Harness. And the new stereo I'm using isn't idatalink compatible. I'm looking to use my factory USB port and I'm wondering if I can use this USB adapter with my new stereo even thought it isn't idatalink compatible?

Q
I'm confused why this kit says it provides USB and AUX IN, when I see that it is included as part of an installation kit for a 2016 Hyundai Tucson, the features-supported list shows USB not supported. Can you explain why this is? Does it provide support for the factory USB port or not?

A
I'm not sure about the package you are mentioning Brian, and I apologize for any confusion. Pulling up your info the iDatalink install goodies are only a fit for the Tucson with no factory subwoofer. This will keep the USB port functioning when used with iDatalink Maestro. As long as your new car stereo has a high-amperage charging port (1.5A or greater), this USB adapter harness should support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operation. However, the number of variables involved means we can't guarantee compatibility. I hope this helps!

Q
where can I find instructions or a video on how to install this?
rebecca  Nov 01, 2021

A
iDatalink Maestro has instructions in a PDF form. When you purchase this, you will need to flash the unit from the website after you create a sign in and password with iData. Then, after flashing, you will need to choose your steering wheel control options (if you have buttons), and then it will offer a download link right after flashing. Video instructions are limited, but iDatalink Maestro has a YouTube channel as well as just searching it there will give you guidance on varying vehicle applications. Hope this helps. You will need to solder or crimp connect electrical wires. Jumping into 12V applications will likely mean you are familiar with associated tools needed for this. Good luck!
