I work in audio production and have as a reference world class speakers in an acoustically neutral environment. So, when I wanted to install the Bluesound Duo in our Maine cottage I was naturally concerned that the sound would be a lot less than what I was used to and braced myself for a bit of disappointment. I did a ton of research on what would suit my environment best not being that familiar with home audio. Well, this system absolutely floored me with its rich, full, enveloping sound. Turn it up and it gets bigger, fuller, not hot and blaring. Nicely balanced. I was directed by Chad of the Crutchfield team to pair this unit with an Onkyo TX-8160: a perfect marriage. Excellent product, excellent advice, and service.
Pros: Well balanced, full, enveloping sound. Clear highs, articulated, integrated bass.
Cons: None at this price.

Was considering Sonos, B&O S8, and Blue Sound. Went to Best Buy to listen to Sonos and decided that the sound wasn't all that special. Listened to B&O and the sound was special but the electronic feature set wasn't unless I spent a fortune in B&O proprietary stuff. Couldn't find anywhere to o listen to the Blue Sound but saw that the spec on the Duo was very similar to the B&O S8 so I decided to take a chance. Had a small party last night, setup Spotify Premium and everyone was blown away by the sound - I simply couldn't imagine being any happier with my purchase!!! Please note that I purchased the Power Node 2 to drive these - setup was a breeze - slightly confusing but cleared all hurdles within 15 minutes so definitely not a reason to go with Sonos - I can't see why would pick a lifetime of inferior sound over an extra couple of minutes setup time!!
