These stands deliver

You probably put a lot of thought into choosing speakers, so why not give them a perfect place to perch? IsoAcoustics ISO-155 speaker stands isolate the speaker from the surface it's placed on, so there's no unwanted transfer of energy that can colour the sound. And they're so darn versatile: you have 14 different combinations of height and tilt to choose from, to customize your listening experience.

Praise for IsoAcoustics speaker stands from Audiostream

"If you use desktop speakers, you owe it to them, to your ears, and to your music to try the IsoAcoustic speaker stands. If you are currently not using anything, they will elevate the musicality of your speakers by far more than inches, providing greater resolution, improved bass response, and a more focused sound image. They will in short make your speakers more enjoyable to listen to and that is more than worth the price of admission."

Product Research

Features

Overview: The IsoAcoustics Inc. ISO series speaker stands provide superior acoustic isolation that will enhance the sound clarity of any speaker including studio monitors, home theater systems and sound reinforcement. The stand's design uses patented technology that provides a high degree of isolation and eliminates energy transfer into the supporting surface, providing better overall imaging and tighter bass control.

PIF Principles: IsoAcoustics ISO series stands have PIF Principles of acoustics incorporated into their design:

  • Placement: The proximity to adjacent and nearby surfaces. The stands raise the speakers off the supporting surface and away from adjacent surfaces to reduce reflections.
  • Isolation: The stands decouple the speakers from the supporting surface to reduce the energy from exciting other objects. The speaker is allowed for float independently.
  • Focus: By raising and tilting the speakers, the stands create an ideal listening position. The speakers should be tilted to the listeners ear level, and positioned to form an equilateral triangle from the speakers to the listener.

Configuration:  The ISO-155 stands include two different lengths of support tubes along with two different size tube-inserts, providing 14 variations in height and tilt angle adjustment. This allows you to optimize placement and performance by getting the tweeters in the correct alignment with the listening position. Designed to be used with medium sized speakers and studio monitors, both top and bottom isolators have a 6.1" x 7.5" footprint. Overall height of the stands can be set from 2.9" up to 8.75" and they can support up to 40 lbs. each.

Note: Use the IsoAcoustics Calculator to determine which ISO series stand is right for your speaker.

Q
Would these or the ISO-200 be better for the ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2?

A
The ISO-155 speaker stands work well with the ELAC Debut B5.2 speakers

Q
overview says you can tilt - any idea how much of an angle?
john  Nov 19, 2022
1 answer
A
It looks like the tilt is accomplished by using a combination of included tube inserts to get either a forward or rearward tilt angle. The exact angle is not specified by IsoAcoustics sadly John, but it looks to be minimal maybe 5-10 degrees but most likely little more. I hope this helps!

Q
Are these made of plastic or aluminum?
rick  Feb 11, 2022

A
The rods are aluminum, the cross sections are plastic, and the dampeners/feet are rubber.
ryan  Feb 13, 2022
A
The base and top frames are plastic with rubber in the holes where the poles go and the poles are stainless steel.
michael  Feb 11, 2022
A
the poles are metal that go into plastic/rubber brackets

Q
Are these OK for Floor Standing speakers?
james  Nov 19, 2020
4 answers
A
This particular model only measures about 6 x 7.5 inches. I used them with bookshelf speakers measuring 10 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep. I don't believe it would provide a stable footprint for any speaker larger than that in cross section (most floor speakers?) and especially a taller floor speaker. I see on the site that the manufacturer offers larger models recommended for floor standing speakers. Check to match dimensions and weight ratings.
daniel  Nov 19, 2020
A
As long as they don't exceed the weight capacity I think it would be ok, assuming they would be on a hard floor (carpet probably wouldn't be stable enough) - and I wouldn't use the tilt feature either. Isoacoustics makes some other "feet" type products that are made for floorstanders that you could look into as well.
michael  Nov 19, 2020
A
They are for bookshelf speakers-and would not be stable enough for larger floor standing speakers.
rich  Nov 19, 2020
A
As long as the speakers aren't over the weight limit of 40# each, they should work, Keep in mind that these are designed for a bookshelf sized speaker, and if your speakers are more than twice as wide as these stands, they might be prone to tipping over. This can be risky if you have small children or pets.
