First-class style and sound
Bang & Olufsen may be famous for their industrial design. But they know a few things about sound quality, too. Their Beoplay H6 headphones are a testament to that. They produce sound that's warm, lush, and listenable for hours at a time. Deep bass extension gives you plenty of low end, without overpowering your music or your ears. Midrange and high frequencies are particularly smooth and balanced. As great as these headphones sound, their design cannot be overlooked. Premium materials like genuine leather give the H6 a luxurious fit and feel. Naturally, these headphones exude the understated elegance that Bang & Olufsen products are known for.
A leather headband and lambskin-covered memory foam earpads add comfort and elegance to the audiophile sound quality of the Bang & Olufsen H6 headphones (shown in Natural Leather).
Well-built for comfort and looks
A great pair of headphones needs more than just outstanding sound quality. They should feel comfortable and inviting, both in your hands and on your ears. How do the H6 headphones achieve this? Memory foam earpads that are covered with soft lambskin offer a plush over-the-ear fit. The leather headband is both durable and stylish, while its interior is softly padded for long-lasting comfort. The aluminum frame lends durability to these headphones without weighing them down, so they're as wearable as they are listenable.
Calls and control with your iPhone®
Keep control of your iPhone, iPod®, or iPad® while you listen with the H6's in-line remote. It offers volume and track control, so you can skip songs, play and pause the music, and kick the volume up with the press of a button. There's also a tiny built-in microphone for taking calls while your iPhone remains in your pocket or bag.
Two cable connections
The Beoplay H6's included miniplug cable connects into either the left or right earcup — a nice touch of flexibility. These dual cable connectors also let you daisy-chain two pairs of headphones together. That means two people can listen to the same song from the same device simultaneously.
There's no shortage of choices for us to listen to around here when it comes to "ear cans." When I first saw we'd picked these up, the headline above says it all. But after four complete albums, while listening to two offerings from B&O I can see why we brought them in.
These headphones are extremely easy to listen to. I had them paired with the Teac HA-P50. What a combo! I rank these right up there with some of the Grado headphones that I've fallen in love with the past few years.
What jumped out at me though, was the headphones' effortless bass reproduction. It's not boomy like it's being forced to create bass. And it's not in a narrow band that's obviously being pushed either. There is just bass, and it's nice bass. Just like it should be.
