Great sound and quality from Bose. Blocks much more outside noise than expected (I have the QC25 noise-cancelling headphones and was impressed). Also, others around can barely here any noise from the headphones. Would recommend.

Bose SoundTrue In Ear Headphones

Brian from Matawan, NJ on 4/11/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought these as an upgrade to the Klipsch over the ear buds and the sound quality and bass response is much better. Took some time to get used to an in ear versus an over the ear bud, but it is very comfortable. I do find that jamming them too far in the ears creates a really tight seal which distorts or muffles some of the sound. The choice of 3 different ear bud sizes is a plus to get the best fit. I find the in line controls a bit clumsy to get to and operate as they are high on the right side earbud cord. Also, the buttons are fairly flat and a little difficult to feel the controls. Other than the controls and trying not to push them too far into your ears, I like these earbuds.

Pros: Comfortable, good sound

Cons: In line control is a bit clumsy to get to. It is high on the right earbud cord. Also, the buttons are flat and a bit difficult to feel.

Amazing ear buds

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Amazing. For now I have only used these with my iPhone 6 and an Audioquest dragonfly black, the results are incredible. They may not technically be noise canceling however the super comfortable rubberized ear cones block out almost all noise. The sound quality of the headphones is very crisp and clean like most bose products. I highly recommend these

Pros: Comfortable. Great sounding. Blocks almost all outside noise.

Cons: The included case is pretty cheaply made and not that great.

Perfect!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are the most comfortable ear buds I've ever worn! And the sound quality is terrific. There isn't any noise cancellation, but I'd rather not be totally dead to what's going on around me.

Pros: Comfortable. Good sound. Great service from Crutchfield.

Cons: None

Best fitting earbuds ever

I use these when working out and they never come out of my ears, regardless of the activity; this is the number one reason I bought them. Sound is pretty good, definitely better than the Bose Soundsport.

Bose® SoundTrue® Ultra in-ear headphones

Randall M from College Station, TX on 6/6/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The sound from the headphones is good but it is like sticking your fingers in your ears. The earbuds make a really tight seal against the ear so your own voice is distorted and you hear your own breathing.

Pros: Good sound

Cons: A little good on the seal with the ear.

Great sound and very comfortable.

Wolf from Cliffside Park, NJ on 4/15/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Work exactly as advertised. These phones are very comfortable but they won't isolate noise as well as other, more invasive in-ear headphones. The sound quality is right up there with other phones in the price range. I listen mostly to classic rock and these work very well. I recommend them if you are going to listen for long periods and confort important.

Pros: Very comfortable. Sound quality. Bose.

Cons: Does not isolate as well as other, more invasive in-ear phones.

Good Sound - Blocks Out Noise

JAKED from New York, NY on 10/19/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've owned Bose in ear headphones for several years, ever since they were debuted by the company. They are definitely one of my most used, highly rated items that I own. The company produces great quality products that last, so when my last pair of Bose earbuds saw their final days, I thought I'd just replace them with the newest comparable model (now, the SoundTrue headphones). That week, the SoundTrue® Ultra in-ear headphones were introduced. I noticed the only difference seemed to be the noise isolation feature, but was hoping to get some additional sound quality for the extra money. When I received them, I stacked them up for sound quality against my previously owned SoundTrue's - only to find that the sound quality was the same, maybe even slightly worse (from my ear at least). The only addition is that the silicon/rubber earpiece blocks the canal of your ear, creating the noise isolation. I've found that this is a big change for me, as I consistently use the headphones on the street or outside and I actually miss the ability to hear loud noises. They do a pretty good job at blocking out sound, especially when listening to music. The wire seems quite sturdy, even more so than its predecessors, and the "T" split keeps the wire slightly away from your body. The plug for the 3.5mm jack is straight and about 1.5 inches long, not angled, so that could be a source of stress on the wire. The microphone works perfectly. Overall great product.

Pros: Great sound, good at isolating outside sound. Sturdy construction. Great microphone and controls.

Cons: Not much (or any) difference in sound quality from SoundTrue regular. I'm not quite used to the sound isolation and I prefer the regular in-ear headphone.

Features

Overview: The Bose SoundTrue Ultra in-ear headphones are built for great sound, stylish look, and comfortable fit. SoundTrue Ultra headphones are the smallest headphones made by Bose, but provide high quality sound over a wide frequency range. The earbuds are sweat- and weather-resistant, and designed to last. This model is specifically designed for use with iPhone and other Apple products.

In-Line Remote Control/Microphone: The SoundTrue Ultra in-ear headphones have a 46" cable with an in-line 3-button remote control and microphone. The special T-joint design helps to eliminate contact noise through the headphones. The remote and mic are compatible with select Apple products, including iPhone 3GS and later, iPad, iPod touch 2nd generation and later, iPod classic (120GB and 160GB), and iPod nano 4th generation or later. The remote is supported by iPod shuffle 3rd generation or later. Audio is supported by all iPad and iPod models. Controls include volume up/down, skip forward or backward, fast forward/rewind, play, pause, accept call, reject call, end call, and engage Voice Control (with compatible devices).

Note: The headphones should be able to deliver audio to most devices with a 3.5mm jack. The answer/end calls function may work with other devices, but the function varies between models. The volume controls will not likely work with non-Apple devices.

StayHear Tips: The SoundTrue Ultra earbud headphones come with Bose's proprietary StayHear silicone ear-tips in three sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) to help assure a more accurate fit that's comfortable and stable. StayHear silicone ear-tips stay in your ears during exercise and other active sports. Advanced materials and design allow the tips to nestle inside the bowl of the ear, while also naturally conforming to the ear's upper ridge. StayHear tips also are designed to remain more securely on the headphone itself. Overall, they provide a better on-the-go listening experience.

Slim Carrying Case: The Bose SoundTrue Ultra headphones come with a slim, semi-hard carrying case to help protect the headphones and accessories during travel. It has a mesh pocket on the inside for eartips and other accessories.

A sonic revelation

Written by Dave Bar, Staff Writer - Creative, on 9/29/2015 1:24:00 PM

Alright. I'll admit it. I'm one of those audio snobs who would never really consider Bose® headphones as one of their top-tier audiophile choices. Please don't get me wrong! I sincerely do like Bose® headphones. They sound great, and are without a doubt the most comfortable headphones ever. (Just ask my wife, son, and daughter who all love theirs!) Plus their noise cancelling models are borderline spooky the way they squelch outside sound. But audiophile? I didn't think so, until today. That's because I just tried Bose's SoundTrue Ultra in-ear headphones and was totally blown away. I mean, seriously, these things rock.

Deep, deep bass with astonishing definition? Check. Transparent, detailed midrange? Double check. Smooth, airy highs? Yep. It's all there, including a very balanced presentation, a satisfyingly wide soundstage, and a fit so comfy and unobtrusive that even people who can't deal with in-ear headphones will dig these.

Sorry, I know I'm gushing but I just can't get over how good these sound, especially for the money. And this was simply listening to them plugged into the headphone jack of my iPod®! I can't wait to try them out with a good headphone amp/DAC and some high-res music files. I'm not sure I'm even ready for that.
