Overview

Our take on the Polk Audio MagniFi One

We keep hearing the same thing from our customers — TV dialogue is getting way too hard to understand. We'd love to put the blame on mumble-mouthed weather guys or brooding actors who think whispering their lines make them seem more important or interesting. But we know the truth: modern television speakers are small and often pointed in the wrong direction, resulting in tinny sound, and speech suffers the most.

Polk Audio Magnifi One in room setting

Polk's MagniFi One sound bar/sub combo keeps your TV setup tidy and delivers easy-to-understand speech.

"What was that?"

Solve this problem with the Polk Audio MagniFi One sound bar, which features the company's patent-pending VoiceAdjust™ technology. VoiceAdjust lifts the sound of speech so that it's easy to make out, regardless of what you're watching — or how loud. Even soft-spoken dialogue comes through crystal-clear, so you can quit hitting that rewind button. There's even separate volume control, just for voice.

Simple connections, listening modes, and Bluetooth

Hooking up the MagniFi One Sound Bar is quick and easy. It connects to your TV with just a single audio cable. Using the included optical digital cable lets you take advantage of the bar's built-in Dolby® Digital decoding. You can also choose between three listening modes — Movies, Music, and Sports — to help tailor the sound to what you're watching.

Speaking of connections, the MagniFi One also has built-in Bluetooth. You can wirelessly play tunes from your smartphone or tablet through the sound bar's powerful drivers.

A convenient wireless subwoofer

Polk included a sub with a 7" woofer to deliver satisfying bass for high-energy action scenes and music. It connects to the sound bar wirelessly, which makes it super easy to find a place for it in your room — you'll just need to plug it into a wall outlet for power. Polk built in a time alignment feature to ensure that the sound bar and sub fire accurately together, for optimal sound.

Great purchase

Frank from Brooklyn, NY on 6/20/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this set up because it was on sale and of course the great reviews so I bit the bullet. It arrived in two days and set up was minutes. I can't believe how great a simple ballgame sounds now. Movies are incredible and the wife loves the Bluetooth feature. System sounds clean and a great deal. Glad I bought it.

Pros: sound is crisp, base is strong and at a great price, can't go wrong

Cons: If I had to pick something it would be the small remote but that's being picky. Polk did a great job.

Good sound, great price

I love this system. I bought it for my bonus room and it sounds really great for the small size. I recommend this for folks like me who like deep bass, are on a budget and have a relatively smaller room.

Pros: easy set up, optimal size, good quality and great service from Crutchfield

Cons: Not for the music connoisseur, more for folks who want good bass, simple but effective upgrade

Disappointing

Anonymous from Moultonborough, NH on 6/8/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I reviewed all the feedback from customers and was impressed enough to buy the Magnifi One soundbar. After hooking it up, I started my review. Construction was excellent, the sound was something else. The voice was very clear but highs lacked sparkle and projection. The lows were boomy and muddy. I could not balance the total sound spectrum for a pleasing playback. My wife also expressed concern about the sound, like what's booming. It didn't take long to decide to return it, very disappointed.

Very clear works well with my Samsung TV. Also, it streams bluetooth music from my iPhone with good bass and great sound quality. My living room is 14 x 16 and it is more then adequate for this size room. I almost bought a sound bar without a subwoofer now I am happy I didn"t. It is better than I anticipated.

Pros: Very easy to install and user friendly

Great sound and clear voices!

Aaron from Eaton, OH on 3/19/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We're very happy with this purchase! My hearing is gradually getting worse which makes watching tv with my family more and more difficult. Movies are frustrating due to constantly adjusting the volume and asking my family what the actors say. The voice adjust is perfect and was the main selling point of this item! For the price you can't go wrong. Good clear quality sound. No, it's not a high end earth shattering sound system but it does its job very well. Very happy with this purchase! Thanks Crutchfield!

Pros: Voice volume, Bluetooth, wireless sub.

Cons: None

Bang for your buck!

Charles from San Diego, CA on 3/15/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Best bang for your buck! I live in an apartment so space is limited, so it's awesome that the subwoofer is wireless. I can place it under my living room side table discretely.

Pros: Simple set-up

Cons: Remote control is rather small and is quite expensive to replace if lost so be sure to pair with your main remote!

Great value!

Great sound for not much money & not much space used

Paul from Wesley Chapel, FL on 3/6/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

To simplify wiring and free up space under the TV, I "downgraded" to this from a 2-ch setup with A/V receiver & Polk bookshelf speakers. Of course, after hearing the sound quality (and this sound bar being much simpler to use), I no longer consider this a downgrade! Sound quality is excellent, with crisp & detailed highs (even without dedicated tweeters), and the subwoofer puts out a LOT of bass (good thing it can be turned down!) In fact, I initially though the sub was too strong, but room positioning makes a real difference, so I'd suggest trying the sub in different locations throughout your room to find the best sound (easy to do with a wireless sub!) The Voice Adjust works well, especially with Dolby Digital sources, with a good range of adjustment. With DTS or other sources which must be converted to 2-ch PCM before sending to the Magnifi One (as it can't process DTS), the voice adjust still works to a lesser degree, but is noticeably less effective than with Dolby 5.1 sources. Even still, the sound quality still beats TV speakers, making things easier to understand. I might have preferred a real front display, but the row of 4 lights certainly does the job (with dim & bright lights representing different levels). The night mode is also excellent! We watched a few movies with sudden loud sounds, and the sound was evened-out nicely without sounding dull.

Pros: Great sound quality (crisp & detailed highs, plenty of bass if desired); can be controlled by TV's remote; compact size; night mode; can be wall mounted

Cons: Loses TV remote learning and voice/sub levels after power loss; 5 second delay to reactivate after going to stand-by

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was looking for a sub/soundbar to help define my audio experience on my TV. This unit provides a nice clean install, all the cables needed and I was finished in less than 5 minutes. I watch netflix series that have lots of voice discussions and this unit provides good crisp audio even at lower level... this unit can produce some rumble to you show also. If you are looking ground shaking bass.. move along this isn't for you. if you want a clean looking sound bar and good everyday audio this is for you.

Pros: Crisp voice audio - fast install - minimal wires

Cons:

Sound is great and crystal clear. I'm finally able to hear people talking in movies. The only issue I am having is the sound bar doesn't turn on all the time when the TV is turned on. Also there is a bit of an audio delay when I fast forward or rewind a show and then hit play. I don't know if this is a problem with the sound bar or the tv...???

I have tried adjusting every setting and am underwhelmed with this purchase, I was really looking for a solution to crappy rear television speakers but this was not it. The voices, although a bit more enhanced, are still outnumbered by the other sounds. I would not recommend this.

Pros: Great bass

Cons: Does not enhance voice over the background sounds as advertised

Magnificent sound, whether vocal or film soundtrack or music. Wireless subwoofer intensifies bass and sound bar magnifies sound, so that it engulfs all areas in our great room. The height of the sound bar is perfect, so that it may sit in front of our 65" tv, on our entertainment console. Extraordinaryily low price point made this purchase a home run.

Haven't had this that long, about 3 weeks, but so far I'm very pleased with it. The unit was very easy to set up I didn't have any problems. Sound is good much better than the TV speakers and bass is really good. I was concerned that it might not have enough power but So far I'm very pleased with this system.

Pros: Very easy set up and good sound quality.

Cons: None so far.

Better than expected

Rob from NH on 2/9/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The setup was easy, as expected after reading other reviews. The dialogue volume really does work well, compared to others that I've heard. The bass is quite a bit louder than I expected as well. This is a good thing because I'd rather turn the bass down than have to strain it going up, which is what I expected from a smaller sub. Overall, definitely pleased with this purchase. I'll definitely hang onto this for a while. I would recommend this soundbar.

Pros: Great sound for small package, price Sub is better than expected Dialogue sounds pretty good overall

Cons: Remote could be better Standby feature is a little spotty

Great sound on clean voices at such a remarkable price.

I am more than satisfied with the MagniFi One. The voices are very clear and the sound quality is superb. Hard to believe you can still find a quality soundbar and sub at such a low price! Great job once again Polk Audio!

Pros: Very easy to setup and use right out of the box. The remote is very easy to use and descriptions are clear.

Cons: I don't have any cons....

Good but not Great

John from San Antonio Valley CA. on 12/12/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Overall I would say that the sound bar is pretty good. The bass is still hard to kill so I set the sub on a thick towel to muffle it more. The clarity is good, not great. Negatives are that it doesn't hold settings when you turn it off. You have to reset everything each time you turn it on. Another negative is that the volume control is not incremental rather in steps that are not always comfortable levels.

Pros: It's a decent value for the money. Easy to install. Easy to operate.

Cons: Too much bass. Doesn't hold settings when turned off. Sound volume is not incremental rather in steps that are not always comfortable. Remote control not to ergonomically friendly. It's tiny.

Polk MagniFi One Sound Bar

Richard S from Portland, OR on 10/10/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Polk Audiio MagniFi One sound bar is an excellent sound bar for the money. I was upgrading from an older sound bar without Bluetooth and was amazed at the the quality of sound. Music sounds great via Bluetooth. The Movie / Sport / Music mode differences are subtle but noticeable and appreciated. Being able to boost the vocal range is a great feature. My biggest gripe is with the instruction manual. It is flat out terrible. The bar can learn your remotes on/off/volume/mute functions but the little booklet doesn't go into enough detail on the process. It took some trial and error fiddling to get it set up correctly. My first unit had a defective optical port. As usual, Crutchfield handled the return/replacement with exceptional customer service, sending my replacement unit out right away. Which was a good thing as the packaging is outrageously complicated. There was no way I was going to be able to repackage the unit without the replacement to compare with. Overall this is an excellent sound bar for the the money.

Pros: Excellent Sound Quality. Voice adjustment really works.

Cons: Terrible instruction manual. Bluetooth occasionally cuts out.

Nice Unit

Don from Absecon, NJ on 9/21/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought the Polk Audio MagniFi One because it was one of the makes I had narrowed down in my search for a soundbar and because Polk had a flash sale. The unit arrived promptly and was well packaged in a weird looking box due to the long soundbar and large subbase. The directions said there was a template for mounting it on the wall, but that was missing from my box. Since there are only two mounting holes 26" apart, it was a moot point. Set up was a breeze. However, it took me several days to get the sound to where I wanted it. The Polk remote has +/- buttons for Base and Voice and this is what I had to tweak to get the sound the way I wanted it. It is a nice improvement over my Samsung's rear facing speakers, which we had to set at 50 when watching a show on Netflix. Now, the sound is fuller, the voices clearer and can be set at a lower volume. One issue I don't like is it is always in standby mode. This is because I have DirecTV and their remotes have an ON and an OFF button. The MagniFi One can't accommodate this feature. Therefore, I was only able to sync the DirecTV remotes with the MagniFi One for Volume +/- and Mute. One item I'd like to see is a list of the what the various combinations of indicator lights mean in the documentation. Some other nice features include Bluetooth and buttons on the remote to enhance listening pleasure for "Movies" (it does this automatically with NetFlix), "Sports" and "Music."

Pros: Easy set-up, easy syncing with existing remotes. Definitely an enhancement over the TV's speakers.

Cons: When using with DirecTV, it is either on or in standby. It can't be turned on/off with the DirecTV remote because it has separate buttons for on and off and the MagniFi One won't recognize this feature. Also, be patient as it takes a few days to get the bass and voice set to your liking.

Was searching for a sound bar for my screened porch. The Polk Magnifi One was suggested by 2 Crutchfield employees. Not Recommended!

Pros: Shipping only took 2 days. Size is perfect for my needs.

Cons: Remote Is A Disaster. Worked for two days. Would not synch with my remote, making this purchase a bust. Surely at this price Polk could have a better remote. Polk has shipped another remote. No set up directions, however they are available online. Sub is a bit "boomy"

Easy to set up. Grateful for multiple inputs. In setting it up, I discovered the optical output on my TV does not work, so I used the other TV output and connected optical to the DVD player. Everything works. Have not used Bluetooth

Pros: Good bass. Clear sound. Simple controls. Does the job. I would buy it again.

Cons: Can't tell much difference with enhanced voice. Not a real problem, just not noticeable difference. Same with music.

Polk Sound Bar

Joe - Savage, MN from Savage, MN on 4/10/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I set this up with an older LG plasma TV. This was an EASY plug and play set up. The rich, clear sound is impressive for the size of the speakers. We love the voice clarity can be adjusted. If you don't want a full surround system, THIS is the system for you. I watched Band of Brothers and the battles and wow! Excellent bass, excellent surround-like sound! I'm in my mid 50's. I sometimes have trouble hearing what people are saying, particularly during action scenes. Being able to adjust the voices with the remote is REALLY nice!

Pros: Excellent sound quality. Easy Plug-n-Play set up. Night Mode on remote reduces volume and reduces bass when your significant others are asleep. Voice Clarity is awesome.

Cons: I would like if the system powered up when you turn your TV on. Instructions for remote programming could be improved.

It Delivers the Goods

Andre H from san diego, CA on 3/17/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The easiest to connect plug and play device I have yet enjoyed. Yes you can find better sound but my rating is more about value and these speakers really deliver in a huge way for the price. I was able to connect them to an older Samsung big screen television via a Polk supplied optical cable flawlessly. The non-wired woofer was recognized immediately. We use this television/speaker set-up right in front of our exercise machine/work-out station and in that role this system works absolutely perfectly. We are exercising 3 times longer now without "feeling it". A major pleasant surprise came when we paired our iMac to the speakers via bluetooth from another room 20 feet away and the sound quality was just amazing. The volume these speakers can crank out with very low distortion is most impressive.

Pros: Dirt simple to install, lots of bang for the buck.

Cons: None when the price is considered.

Smart Buy

Eric C. from Newington, CT on 3/16/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Was relatively easy to set up out of the box. The included optical cable makes it practically plug in and play. The unit easily paired with the wireless sub-woofer. Bluetooth capability to connect with hand held devices is a plus. Really like the ability to control the Voice and Bass levels independently from the main volume control. It was one of the reasons I selected this particular model. Sound reproduction is definitely up to the standards I expect from a Polk product. Highs and mids are crisp and clear, the sub-woofer provides plenty of rich low bass rumble for movies and TV, and tight bass response for music. Very impressive. Highly recommend due to the sound quality at this price point along with the ease of use and volume control options.

Pros: Ease of set up and use Flexible volume control Terrific sound for TV/Movies and Music

Cons: Included optical cable looks and feels a little cheap and flimsy, but works adequately.

Sound Value

charle*********** from Houston, Texas on 3/4/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This Polk sound bar was easy to install as well as to pair up with Bluetooth components. Volume control pairs up easily with the TV and Dish provider remotes. I was not impressed with the voice amplification, however sound is a vast improvement over the Samsung television speakers. The music is very dynamic and enjoyable when paired up with an 5S phone. Listened to many lower cost units in a local store and this sound bar performs much better than those units. If you like a lot of base the remote subwoofer can supply it.

Pros: Ease of installation and paring with components.

Cons: Voice enhancement was not really that noticeable with the TV.

Definitely this one!

Travis from Vermont on 2/27/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I tried to go the cheap route (less than $100). I knew what a nice sound bar and sub sounded like because my parents have the older Polk setup. So after watching a movie with the wife I asked her what she thought about the setup. "Oh it was on?".... So I purchased the polk setup. Absolutely no comparison. Easy to use. Fast shipping. Amazing sound. There is no mistaking when this is on. It rumbles the whole house when it's cranked.I highly recommend this. My best advice with any upgrades: Pay once, cry once

Pros: Easy to use and set up. Easy bluetooth connectivity. Very easy to program to your TV remote. Has great bass output.

Cons: The remote that came with it is very small and easily misplaced.

Great Sound - Bit of a journey to get there

Anonymous from lodi, OH on 2/14/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought as an opened box unit, arrived in fine shape, everything there. Hook up a snap. Set up not so much. Zero.Zero instructions that had any meaning. Still do not know how to set up the Bluetooth, since all it says is to pair, but there is no pair mode to be found. Will have to go on line and search for what should have been in the box. Set up of remote confusing at best, since it only shows how to do the volume increase feature. You have to keep trying the others to see if that activated them. If not, try the given method. Mute does not work from TV remote, everything else finally beamed in. The sound is great. The voice enhancement really makes a difference. Well worth the money - and the aggravation.

Pros: Low profile fits well, remote transfer features work pretty well. Sound is excellent, as is the tuning of the sound.

Cons: Missing the instructions on reading the mind of the controls designers to figure them out.

Really Nice in Small Room

Nate R. from seattle, WA on 2/5/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We have only used the MagniFi One for TV/Movie watching, so I can't comment on Music and Bluetooth. Our TV room is small, about 10 feet deep by 14 feet wide, and this unit sounds terrific in it. I was a little concerned that only having two drivers would cause it to feel insufficient, but it more than adequately fills the room. The wireless subwoofer works great. Normally we have the Bass volume turned all the way down because it is almost too much for the room for normal viewing. I was pleasantly surprised that it has a Night mode which decreases the dynamic range of the audio. We have two small kids that go to bed early, so turning on night mode and cranking up the voice volume allows us to enjoy the quality sound from this system without worrying about waking them up. The only problem we have had is that for some reason a couple of times it seems to have spontaneously switched input modes causing the audio to unexpectedly disappear. It took us a while to figure what happened, and pressing the optical input button brings back. One theory is it is picking up the input signal from our TV remote, but I am not sure about that.

Pros: Good sound. Low profile. Night mode. Separate voice and bass volume controls.

Cons: None really, except the unusual issue with the input mode seeming to switch unprompted a couple of times.

Surprising wall of sound

Paul from Round Lake Beach, IL on 1/22/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Pleasantly surprised with this sound bar!!! We can actually watch Netflix without raising the TV volume to max. Our Samsung 60 inch TV would not put out enough volume when streaming netflix. Other programing was fine. We have been looking at sound bars for sometime. The location of the TV is currently on a stand and the option of wall mounting is not an option. The low profile of the sound bar does not block any portion of the viewing area. The wireless subwoofer is a great part of this system. Having the ability to place it out of the way with no wires makes is a very nice feature. I was looking at the Bose Cinemate 15 but the subwoofer is hard wired. So far I have no complaints about this sound bar. Glad I made this purchase!

Pros: Sound is awesome. Great bass.. Easy to setup

Cons: I can only program one additional remote to raise or lower volume.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Got this for a Christmas gift for myself. Unpack and set-up took minutes. I think the sound of this bar is amazing for the modest price tag. No comparison to similarly priced bars from the box stores ( sony, Vizio, Panasonic etc. ) I actually bought this more for music than for movies but the performance is spectacular for movies also. This sound bar replaced a Sony hard-wired 5 speaker surround sound and I find it sounds even better than the Sony. I would recommend this highly to anyone that does not want to spend $1000 but does not want the big-box junk. Also...the Crutchfield staff was extremely helpful on two occasions when making a decision. They were straight forward and honest and did not try to talk me into shelling out more $$ for a "better system". Overall I am very pleased with the product and the entire transaction.

Pros: Great Sound small price tag

Cons: Bluetooth occasionally cuts out when streaming music from my Android phone.

Sounds great. Easy to set up and use.

Pros: Easy to set up and use

Cons: Note: It is not a complete surround sound system. For the price and for a family it sounds great. If your looking to blow your windows out, this won't do it.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good quality sound for the price paid. Subwoofer base is nice and deep but could be a little bit more powerful than what it is today. Dialogue clarity is pretty good and different modes (Movie, Audio, Sports) makes a difference.

Pros: Good sound for the price Small, lovely looking speakers Wireless sub and bluetooth Rich and deep bass

Cons: Lack of HDMI Auto volume levelling IR Blaster

As advertised

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Having been in IT for way too many years, I tend to pause when a company says their product sets up in "5" minutes. It did. I was very pleased and surprised. Using this for my other home theater setup and the sound is great. Full, crisp and clean sound in a relatively small unit. Couldn't be happier!

Pros: ease of use

Cons:

Excellent device

Joe M from Virginia on 12/9/2015

I already had a Polk soundbar which I liked, but the sub wore out and couldn't be replaced. This is at the same price point but is remarkably better-the sports, movie and music settings are great, the sound is clearer and it's a smaller device. The wirelessness of the sub and the bluetooth are major upgrades. It really sounds like surround and I'm quite pleased with it. Polk makes great stuff and the price is much better than Klipsch or Bose.

Pros: compact, great sound, Bluetooth, simple setup

Cons: none that I can see or hear

Features

Active Soundbar Speaker: The Polk Audio Magnifi One soundbar speaker houses two 3" x 1" full-range drivers powered by a built-in 100 watt amplifier. The soundbar's critically tuned ports provide optimum blending of the full-range drivers with the included wireless powered sub. The Magnifi One soundbar speaker employs two of Polk's proprietary technologies for exceptional performance. The Magnifi one soundbar speaker employs two of Polk's proprietary technologies for exceptional performance.

  • VoiceAdjust Technology: VoiceAdjust Technology improves vocal intelligibility and dialogue levels. You can adjust dialog level independently from the soundbar speaker system's main volume control.
  • Full Complement Bass Drive: Polk's exclusive Full Complement Bass Drive Technology in the soundbar improves lower midrange, upper bass tonal richness, fast transient response and overall output capability.

Wireless Powered Sub: The wireless powered subwoofer features a down-firing 7" woofer and port in compact bass reflex enclosure. The 7" woofer is powered by a built-in 140 watt amplifier. The powered subwoofer receives it audio signal wirelessly (up to 30') from the system's soundbar, so there is no subwoofer cable to connect. You will need to connect the powered sub to an AC outlet. You can adjust the volume of the sub independently from the system's overall volume.

Dolby Digital + DSP Presets: The Polk Audio Magnifi One soundbar speaker system supports Dolby Digital (up to 5.1ch) sound processing through its optical digital input. Pre-set DSP soundfield modes (Movies, Music, Sports, and Night) tailor the system's sound for optimum performance. The Night mode instantly reduces the soundbar system's master volume and bass impact, while increasing voice & dialogue level, for low-volume listening.

Analog + Digital Connectivity: The Polk Audio Magnifi One soundbar system provides both analog (3.5mm) and digital (optical) connectivity for your TV and other source components.

  • Optical Digital Input: The soundbar features a single optical (toslink) digital input to connect your flat-panel TV. The optical input can decode and reproduce Dolby Digital 5.1 program material. The soundbar's digital input also supports 2-channel PCM. An optical cable is included.
  • Stereo Minijack Input: The soundbar is equipped with an analog stereo minijack (3.5mm) input to connect your television (which may lack an optical digital output). If your TV is equipped with stereo RCA outputs, use included stereo minijack-to-RCA adapter along with the included stereo minijack cable.
Note: The digital optical output terminals of most newer flat-panel TVs only send an audio signal in 5.1ch when receiving Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound from the TV's built-in tuner, network connection, or connected USB device; and will output only 2ch stereo from sources connected to the TV via HDMI, or RCA (like your Blue-ray/DVD player or satellite/cable box).

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Polk Audio Magnifi One soundbar system supports Bluetooth A2DP which allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Windows Phone/PC, Mac laptop/computer and more. You'll be able to stream stored music or music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled device to the soundbar speaker system. You will continue to your Bluetooth-enable mobile device for music navigation and to view song/artist information.

Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Polk Audio Magnifi One soundbar speaker system.

Remote Control: The included IR remote control provides wireless operation of the system. You can also program the Magnifi One soundbar speaker system to respond to your TV's remote. In addition, there are controls on the top-panel of the soundbar speaker.

Mounting Options: The soundbar speaker should be centered under or above your flat-panel TV screen. The lightweight easy-to-mount single speaker can be placed on a tabletop or wall-mounted. It can sit on a flat surface because of its integrated rubber feet that enable it to rest securely. If your TV is wall-mounted, the soundbar can be mounted right beneath it using the speaker's integrated keyhole slots (x2) on the rear-panel. The powered subwoofer receives its signal from the soundbar wirelessly, so it can be placed virtually anywhere in the room (up to 30' from soundbar). It only requires plugging into an AC outlet.
