Class D Amplification + Passive Bass Radiators: The Cambridge Audio G2
Bluetooth portable speaker features two front-firing full-range drivers powered
by Class D amplifier and two rear-firing passive bass radiators. This
combination provides high-quality sound from a compact speaker.
Bluetooth Technology: The Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth portable
speaker offers support for Bluetooth A2DP wireless music streaming and Bluetooth
HFP hands-free communication. The G2 is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled
devices like Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphones/tablets, Blackberry,
Windows PC, Mac computers, and other devices which offer Bluetooth connectivity.
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some
Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not
support all features when used with the Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth portable
Wireless Music Streaming: With Bluetooth A2DP you'll be able to
wirelessly stream stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled
devices to the Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth portable speaker system. You will
continue to control your music and view song/artist information from your
Bluetooth-enabled device. Volume can be controlled from the G2 speaker.
Hands-Free Speakerphone: With Bluetooth HFP and a built-in microphone the G2 can be used
to answer and make phone calls from your paired Bluetooth-enable smartphone. If
you have an incoming call the G2's phone button will flash and a simple press of
that button will answer the call from the G2. If you make a call from your
paired Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, the G2 will automatically switch to
speakerphone mode. The built-in speakerphone will carry on your side of the
conversation, while the other party is heard the G2's speakers. The G2's
speakerphone feature is deal for a quick hands-free and conference calls.
Note: You cannot use the Cambridge Audio G2 to dial a phone number; you will still need
to use your smartphone to make a call and then the call will be transferred over
to the G2 as long as your smartphone is paired.
Secure Simple Pairing + NFC: With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily
pair a Bluetooth-enabled device to the Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth portable
speaker system with a single button press and without having to enter pin codes
or go through complicated settings. The Bluetooth speaker also supports NFC
(Near-Field Communication) technology for pairing; simply tap your NFC-enabled
Android (OS 4.0+) smartphone to the NFC tag on top of the speaker for instant
pairing with the G2. A total of 4 devices can be paired with the Cambridge Audio
G2, but only one device can be used at a time.
Dual-Mode: It is possible to synchronize two G2 speakers together so
that both will play back your music simultaneously. The two G2 speakers must be
within 30' of each other.
Aux Input: The Cambridge Audio G2 Bluetooth portable speaker
is fitted with a 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting a non-Bluetooth portable
device with a headphone jack or analog audio output.
USB Charging Port: You can use the convenient USB type-A
port (5V/1A) to charge your smartphone or MP3 player from the G2's own battery on the move, or when
it's connected to AC power at home.
Rechargeable Battery: The G2 uses a high capacity lithium-ion battery
that can play for up to 10 hours from a single charge. In addition, the G2 uses
intelligent battery management software to optimize life and minimize charging
time. The included AC power adapter is used to charge the G2's battery, as well
as supply power to the portable speaker system. The G2's battery should be
charged for 4 hours before initial use.
Low Battery Indicator + Auto Power Down: A flashing red LED indicates that the battery is too low and the G2
will enter a standby mode where no music can be played. This LED will continue
flashing for 10 minutes after which the G2 will turn off. To save power, the G2
will automatically turn off after approximately 30 minutes if no music is
