Customer Q&A

7 questions already asked

Q
will this work with 2018 Honda HRV Hybrid, and would I need any additional harnesses?
juliam  Feb 12, 2023
1 answer
A
This harness does work with the 2018 Honda HRV (all trim levels), but you will need some extra installation gear Julian. This link below shows you the install gear needed to install an iDatalink ready radio in your 2018 Honda HRV, check it out! We give you a discount when you pair your radio and install gear together on order, so it's a nice little bonus when you purchase the gear at the same time! https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rXYEc222/cart/EmailCart.aspx?emKey=3076565

Q
Does the harness allow to bypass the OEM amp in the 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L? Looking for the plug and play recommendation. That is, RCAs from the harness into the aftermarket amp, then speaker leads outs into the 18 pin OEM amplifier harness
viktar  Dec 24, 2022
1 answer
A
This harness is designed to work with other parts to install a new radio and retain the factory amp. At the time of this reply, we do not have parts premade to bypass the stock amp with installing a new radio or parts to make installing an amp to the stock system in your CR-V easier by creating the preamp outputs. This may change in the future and we recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check

Q
Would the Antenna be wired with the hardness if I get it already wired up?
jamal  Apr 21, 2022
2 answers
A
The antenna is wired independently of the Data Link. It will plug directly into the unit or use a separate connector adapter.
mark  Apr 21, 2022
A
Typically the antenna in the car has a standard connector that plugs into the back of the head unit and not the harness. The cars I've installed aftermarket stereos the antenna plugged right in
