About the Kicker 44CWCD104

Bob Bihlmayer

Product of experience

When it comes to bass, Kicker wrote the book, as they were among the first to create subs and amps for cars. The Kicker CompC line has its roots in the original Kicker Comp subwoofer line that goes back to 1986, giving you the benefit of Kicker's years of experience in the art of bass. The CompC Series 44CWCD104 10" subwoofer features a flex-resistant polypropylene cone for hard-hitting lows without distortion, while the ribbed foam surround with its familiar yellow stitching promotes long excursion and helps to keep the cone on target.

Versatile installation

This sub handles up to 250 watts RMS to bring out the punch your music's been missing. Its dual 4-ohm voice coils make it easy to get maximum power from a mono amplifier, or to wire it into a multi-sub setup. The sub's steel basket provides a reliable foundation for big bass, and its extensive venting ensures long-lasting performance that won't break down when the bass gets heavy. This versatile sub works well in sealed or ported enclosures.

Q
Will this free air sub work in a sealed box? I mean being a free air sub will the size of the box make any difference? can I use two 4 ohms DVC for my K-600 and use all the 600W?

A
I used both of those in my sons box that I built to roughly 1 cf each and they sound great. I haven't tried switching from parallel to series due to the fact they sound great. I don't think you would be disappointed with them.

A
Yes they will fit I have mine in a box under the back seat of my 02 dodge ram
james  Nov 25, 2017
A
That would depend on how shallow of a box it is. Mine is mounted in the back seat of a 2011 Camaro which is a fairly shallow space and it fits just fine.
neal  Aug 08, 2017
A
yes and they are in shallow under the box seat in super crew
van  Aug 08, 2017
A
Yes they should fit a shallow box i have these in my 2003 f150 super crew cab hope this comment helps you out
van  Aug 08, 2017
A
Hi Jeffrey,I don't know what you consider a shallow mount box,you will need at least a box that is 5" deep to mount this sub into. I also don't know the dementions of your box or if it's sealed or vented. I hope that this was of some help. Good luck Thomas
