Q
What is the bluetooth range on this unit?
jacob  Jul 12, 2021
1 answer
A
We do not have that information and cannot find it on their site either. We do know the operational range does cover distances inside the vehicle and even when storing the streaming device in a safe area of the AVT, UTV, etc.. that is not a metal box.

What bluetooth codec is it,aptx hd or something less?
markus  Dec 08, 2020

A
It is not use device specific bluetooth like aptXHD or ACC. I cannot find the official version it is using and am guessing its using a more basic type to support as many different device types and brands as possible.

Q
Is the volume knob a traditional dial type or is it a rocker type where you hold it left or right to decrease and increase the volume?

It's a rotary dial. To power the unit on and off you push the button in for second power on push the button again for a second power off.
michael  Sep 06, 2020

The volume knob is similar to the traditional dial type however it is very east and very sensitive I had no problem with it ....

Q
When connected to a phone for Bluetooth audio, how does this unit handle an incoming call? Can you press a button to pick up the call? I want something just like this, small footprint, Pre-amp out, and able to handle BT audio and handsfree calling in my classic car.
joel  May 19, 2020
1 answer
A
This does not support Bluetooth handsfree phone calling. I've looked through all the units similar to this and none support the phone call at the time of this reply. You might consider getting a receiver that can be controlled by a wired remote as those are smaller like this unit. We have advisors that you can reach by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation

Q
Any reason this couldn't be used in a classic Car?
justin  Oct 30, 2018

Personally, I would think that this would be perfect for a car that you want modern audio installed, but do not want to cut up a dash. With it's small footprint and very simple intuitive controls, it could even be mounted completely out of sight. I use this one on my Harley and can keep my eyes on the road when I have to use the controls. I've had really good luck with it and am happy with it's performance.
tony  Nov 29, 2018
A
None at all! You definitely can use it in a classic car My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Paul
