This dash kit will fit any standard size double DIN radio, roughly 7" by 4" opening size.

Q
I have a 2012 Honda EX-L. No Navigation but the top screen has a lot of functions,(gas mileage, miles per gallon, back up camera, etc...) Will I still be able to use these functions when I replace the radio?

The only function I have been able to keep is the backup camera, however, there is an annoying 5 second delay when the video shows up. I am trying to figure out how to display CarPlay on the screen, but have been unsuccessful so far (I can't figure out what are the video inputs into the screen).

We had a base model Honda 2012 and the upper screen, which for us was clock and radio station display, no longer has any power or function.
philip m.  Jul 07, 2019
A
It only retains the back up camera. The fuel mileage information will not be accessible on the center monitor. You still have all that information on the instrument cluster.
donice  Jul 07, 2019
A
Sadly, no. Only the back up camera will work - and there is a slight delay for the camera image to appear.

Q
I have the 2011 Odyssey EX, does the top screen above the climate controls become useless? That small screen is controlled by the knobs below that will be removed

I have the LX model and my screen is no longer functional. I can't say the same will be for your model.
lemonn  Jan 20, 2019
A
Yes, the small screen is normally used to display the time and radio info. That info will now be displayed on the larger screen of your new unit, and the small screen is not used anymore.

I am no pro, but I installed a basic radio from Crutchfield in my base-level 2011 Honda Odyssey. The main display screen that used to show time and tuning info is now dark and shows nothing. The radio works like a champ.
philip m.  Jan 18, 2019
A
If you're referring to the HUD then yes. Or if you're speaking of the screen where the climate control is located then no.

I have a 2011 Odyssey LX (I wish I'd waited for an EX to become available! ;-) ) and for me the top screen is now off, nothing displays at all
todd  Jan 18, 2019
A
Yes it will not display anything except for the back-up camera still functions on that screen alone. In my case I couldn't find any wiring adapter or kit to get the factory back up camera to work on my aftermarket dvd player but was happy it still worked in the end.
brian  Jan 18, 2019
A
Yup, becomes entirely useless. So put a background on it while you can, cuz as soon as you swap out the radio, it'll end up a blank screen with the time on it

Q
There are extra nob and button under stereo in Odyssey. It looks flat in the picture. How do they fit in harness?

A
The whole stereo unit is pulled out .. you will no longer have any buttons. I control my car settings with a touch screen stereo
luis  Nov 08, 2018
A
It is an entire radio replacement. All knobs and buttons pertaining to the factory radio are gone.
