  • Speaker Output: One set of hex-socket set-screw terminals is provided for the mono speaker output, which can accept up to 8 AWG wire.
  • Fuse: A socket on the inside of the amp holds the included 30A ATO fuse. If the fuse needs to be replaced, the bottom panel of the amplifier must be removed.
  • Low-Level Inputs: Two RCA jacks provide a low-level signal input.
  • Controls:
    • Gain: Adjusts the input signal level and can accept input signals 200mV to 10V.
    • LPF: The amp includes a 12dB/oct low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency that can vary between 50Hz and 250Hz.

    • Remote Bass-Level Input: An RJ-25 socket is provided to plug in the included Remote Bass-Level Control.

Remote Bass Control: The TNP212D2 includes a remote bass control, letting you adjust the bass level without having to access the amplifier. Q
Does this amp require a high low converter?
bass  Oct 06, 2023
1 answer
A
The TNA251 amplifier does not have speaker-level inputs. If you're installing this amplifier in a vehicle with a factory radio, then it will be necessary to use a line-output converter.
zachary  Oct 06, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Does this fit in a 1995 Honda civic ex coupe?
dylen  Jun 27, 2023
1 answer
A
We do not qualify universal subwoofer/amp packages like the MTX TNP212D2 bass package for specific vehicle fit, Dylen. We do have some rough measurements of your available trunk space and the MTX subwoofer box is within those specs, but that does not guarantee a fit. I would take accurate measurements of the trunk and trunk opening and compare to the listed dimensions of the MTX subwoofer box below. Any items that simply do not fit after due diligence with measuring can be returned for a refund within the first 60-days, I hope this helps! 29-5/8" Wide 14" High 13-1/2" Depth1 x 11-1/8" Depth2

Q
Will this work with my 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport?
mitch  Jun 25, 2023
1 answer
A
If you can find a place to sit these subs in your truck, then they would be compatible. Additional parts will be required. Our advisors are happy to provide guidance on this project via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.
zachary  Jun 25, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Will this fit in the trunk of a 2005 Acura tsx?
servando  Mar 16, 2023
1 answer
A
We do not qualify universal fit subwoofer boxes like the MTX TNP212D2 Bass package in our Vehicle Fit guide, Servando. We do have some rough measurements listed for your trunk space on your 2005 TSX, listed below: 35" width 38" depth 19" height According to these measurements, you have enough space in your trunk for the MTX. We see sometimes that the boxes can be too big to fit into the trunk opening. We advise using the accurate measurements of the MTX box listed below to compare to your vehicle to assure a good fit. 29-5/8" width 13-1/2" depth 1 x 11-1/8" depth 2 14" height Any items that simply do not fit can be returned within the first 60-days for a refund, so no worries!

Q
Is there a bigger and more powerful amp to replace the amp that comes with the MTX TNP212D2 Bass Package, and if so any suggestions?
kobiek  Mar 01, 2023
1 answer
A
A more powerful amplifier could be used. Our advisors would be happy to help with selecting an amplifier for the project. You may reach us via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
Does the MTX TNP212D2 Bass Package fit under the back seats of a ford 2007 f-350 crew cab SRW? Or where would be the best placement?
kobiek  Feb 23, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Kobie, and thank you for your question. The MTX box is 13.5 inches deep and 14 inches tall. Technically we did not measure under the 2007 F350 rear seat, but its doubtful you have that much room under it.
hogan  Feb 24, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Would this fit in the trunk of a 2012 Ford Mustang Premium Coupe?
johnny  Oct 13, 2022
1 answer
A
You'll have to measure carefully to determine that John, and we provide the accurate specs on the website to help! We sometimes have some rough subwoofer trunk fit info on some cars, and we do have some measurement numbers on your Mustang trunk space. Now If I remember correctly on these generation Mustang coupes some boxes that technically fit will not actually fit inside the trunk hole opening. From our measurements here it does appear this Box is within those and should fit but could be troublesome to maneuver into the trunk opening and get in place. I really like these pre paired MTX bass packages because they really bang for the buck, I hope this helps!

Q
What gauge wire should i use for the subwoofer to the amp?
christopher  Sep 29, 2022

A
An 8-gauge amp wiring kit is recommended.

Q
I need something that wonâ??t blow out easily or tear easily as I like to turn my volume all the way up and bass boost my music, will this be able to handle my taste?
tileguy12  Jul 29, 2022
1 answer
A
You can blow any amp or speaker combination sometimes sadly, Fabian. That being said, what I love about these MTX pre paired packages is that MTX does make sure that these components will work well together for the long haul, and the amp and subs are a great match together. If you like to crank your music, and you also love a TON of bang for the buck these MTX TNP212D2 Bass Packages are an excellent choice! If you think you are going to need more bass than this delivers, you could consider a "custom" package with the Kicker 48DCWR122 dual 12" ported box in the first link below paired with the Kicker 46CXA1200.1T amp in the second link. This steps up the wattage and performance if you need a little more boom! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20648DR122/Kicker-48DCWR122.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20646CX12T/Kicker-46CXA1200-1T.html

does this package come with a remote and what should I fuse the power wire at?
george  Apr 13, 2017
1 answer

It comes with a wired remote. I don't and use it because I don't hear any difference that it makes. I would but an amp wiring kit that has an external fuse box and wire it to your battery. The amp wiring kit will give you everything you need.

How much does it cost to install this? I have never bought or done anything with subwoofers other than drive a vehicle with one that instantly made me decided to get something for my car...what would it take to get this into my car?

Cost of professional installation can vary but we sell pre-paid installation cards here through InstallerNet which is a nationwide network of professional mobile audio installers. The pre-paid cards we have for this type of system would cost about $124.98--here's a link to the 2 cards you'd need: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_597421037/InstallCard-Subwoofer.html?tp=820 & http://www.crutchfield.com/p_597421003/InstallCard-Amp-or-Equalizer.html?tp=820
