The tonearm features adjustable balance and anti-skating controls for proper tracking. And its sturdy base minimizes the vibrations that can compromise sound quality.

Automatic playback with manual control

Fully automatic operation makes the DP-300F easy to use. With the touch of a button, the tonearm swings over and begins playing your record, returning to its original position when finished. The manual lifter mechanism lets you accurately place the stylus on the record wherever you want without scratching.

Switchable phono preamp for hookup flexibility

DP-300F features a built-in phono preamp that lets you connect the turntable to an ordinary auxiliary input on your receiver or audio system. But if your receiver has a dedicated phono input, and you'd prefer to use it, you can switch off the preamp.

Features
Controls and Dimensions

Features

Overview: The DP-300F is a fully automatic turntable that is powered by a DC servo motor with a belt drive system. The turntable is designed to work with dedicated phono inputs and standard line level inputs, so it can be used with almost any receiver or preamp.

Heavy Base Construction: The heavy base construction improves performance by reducing the amount of vibration transmitted through the turntable.

Removable Tonearm Headshell: A removable headshell makes cartridge replacement simple. Allows for any standard mount cartridge between 5 to 10 grams to be mounted and balanced.

Automatic Startup: The automatic startup feature allows the turntable to begin play with the touch of a button. Once play has been completed, the tonearm will return to the armrest, so the stylus and record are not damaged or scratched.

Rigid Diecast Aluminum Turntable: The diecast aluminum platter produces uniform rotation for smooth flutter free operation.

Manual Operation: The turntable includes a manual lifter mechanism that allows you to place the needle on the record wherever you want.

Built-in RIAA Phono Equalizer Preamp: The built-in phono equalizer preamp allows you to connect the turntable to an integrated amp or receiver that does not have a dedicated phono input. This is a feature that can be turned off when using a receiver with a phono input.

Note: The equalizer switch is set to the "ON" position from the factory.

33-1/3 and 45 RPM Compatible: The turntable will play at 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds. An adapter is included for playing 45 rpm records.

MM Cartridge Included: The DP-300F comes with a MM (Moving Magnet) cartridge, so you can  begin to enjoy your record collection as soon as you take it out of the box.

Attached Output Cables: The turntable has a hardwired output cable with left and right male RCA plugs. These can plug directly into your receiver or amplifier. There is no need for additional patch cables.

Controls:

  • Start Button: Starts playback.
  • Stop Button: Stops playback.

  • Counterweight: Should be set to the appropriate stylus pressure for the cartridge used.
  • Equalizer Switch: Set to "ON" if receiver does not have a phono input, Set to "OFF" if receiver has a phono input.

Q
What is the best available Denon receiver or amplifier option to pair with this turntable?
steve  Dec 30, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Steve, and thank you for your question. You do not have to use a Denon receiver or amplifier with this turntable, but if you wish to know the best Denon for a 2 channel music set up it would be their PMA-A110 integrated amp.

Q

Unfortunately, this is not available in white. However, we have other options for white turntables. Feel free to reach out to our advisors via online chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695 for help with selecting the best turntable for your needs.

Lookin for turntable in white?
james  Dec 17, 2022

A
This Denon DP-300F is only available in the gloss black finish, James. The Andover Audio SpinDeck MAX in the link below shares the similar automatic playback and does come in the white finish, check it out! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_337SPDKMXW/Andover-Audio-SpinDeck-MAX-White.html

Q
Am I able to upgrade to better quality cables to from the turntable to the amp or are they fixed?
andrew  Nov 19, 2022
1 answer
A
The power and signal cables for the Denon DP-300F are built-in and fixed, Andrew. You cannot upgrade or replace them, sadly. You could consider a slightly larger buy-in for the Pro-Ject Automat A1 in the link below. It's still fully automatic playback, and most notably the increase in quality to the attached RCA cables that are shielded as well as the uprated Ortofon OM10 cartridge, this could avoid the need for any potential cabling upgrade! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_252A1/Pro-Ject-Automat-A1.html

Q
Can I connect Bookshelf speakers directly or Do I need an amplifier?
manoj  Dec 20, 2021
4 answers
A
You can connect bookshelf speakers directly too it but depending on the size of the speakers will determine how loud you can get. The turntable has a built in preamp that can be switched on or off. It will need to be on for non powered speakers.
matthew  Dec 21, 2021
A
I am not an expert but I think you need an amplifier. I use an amplifier and a power amp
marcus l  Dec 20, 2021
A
If they are passive speakers, you will need an integrated amplifier. If they are active speakers, you can connect directly.
jon  Dec 20, 2021
A
Hi, need an amplifier.

No idea but it is not relevant - this turntable died 2 months after purchase
michael  May 02, 2021

I would think so but I don't know for sure. I love the turntable, I don't know the brand of the cartridge and I'm going to need a replacement soon. First time to replace.
james  Apr 12, 2021
A
Yes. Allows for any standard mount cartridge between 5 to 10 grams.
