Install it in minutes, view it on your phone

Pearl solved a huge problem with their RearVision rear-view camera — they got rid of the wires. Installation of this back-up camera is as simple as changing out your license plate frame and plugging in a dongle to your OBD-II port, and the high-quality video streams right to your phone. The camera gets its power from a solar charger built into the frame. Take a look at this smartly-designed system in this video.

Will this work on a Volvo S40?

Way to much $$ to blow on a camera that is wireless and make you have to have your phone on a dash mount or backing up with one hand to so really how is that safe and benificial? can it really be compared to the convenient rear view on reciever or built in rear view mirror. And the $69 one will get the same job done just as fast and accurate to.

We love the portability as we are snowbirds. The quality, optics, customer support are top drawer. Easy to use: I Phone on, app on, backup with alerts to increase safety, go to drive and google maps auto loads. EASY, EASY, EASY. I use this every time I go into reverse. Beautiful product in design and in delivery. A company that values every member of the team. The B&O of backup technology and worth the cost.

Seems like a lot of work when using your phone. Much easier to have the image pop up on your radio or a separate screen. Plus the cost is pricey.
