A modern classic

One thing's for sure — our customers love Infinity's Reference Series speakers. Year after year, car after car, options like these Reference Series REF-6532ex 6-1/2" car speakers remain a popular choice for replacing factory speakers because of their competitive pricing and superb sound.

Infinity's famous ingredients

The Reference Series polypropylene woofer with its durable hi-roll rubber surround ensures you'll enjoy powerful sound every mile you drive. Its oversized cone moves more air than other speakers of similar size, adding plenty of punch to the speaker's impressive performance. A cleverly designed, shallow basket structure also makes this speaker a better fit in more vehicles.

Add to all that a 1" textile dome tweeter for clearer and smoother highs, and you have a sound that's definitively Infinity.

Excellent power handling

These speakers will really blossom when powered by an external amplifier, but they're also sensitive enough to be a good match for a factory or aftermarket stereo. Plus, Infinity comes up with a safe way to get a little more power out of your system — these 3-ohm speakers combine with the speaker wire in your car so your car stereo sees actual 4-ohm impedance.

Product Research

Features

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

High-Output Design: The 3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring, extracting more power from factory (or aftermarket) receivers.

Mounting: Without an adapter, the 6532ex speakers fit standard 6-3/4" applications. Given their required cutout, they will also fit 6-1/2" applications without an adapter, but new screw holes must be drilled. Using the included adapter brackets they can be mounted in a variety of 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications, without any modification.

Customer Q&A

Q
I want to change the factory audio of my 2014 civic EX. I just want to have better sound than stock audio from my car and get a good screen car stereo to equalize and have bluetooth properly. However, I'm not sure if I would need to buy rear and front door speakers or just front doors speakers. I also checked the Infinity Reference speakers and the Kicker 43CSC674 as affordables and well reviewed. My question is. Do I need to pick both the Kicker and the Infinity Reference or just one of them to replace all the stock speakers of my car?

You should definitely change all with one brand. Don't mix them. I personal went with the kickers all around. MAJOR SOUND DIFFERENCE!

I recently replaced all four door speakers, front and back, in my 2018 Honda CRV. I chose the Infinity Reference speakers for all 4 doors. It is my opinion that you should choose either the Kickers OR the Infinitys for all 4 doors. This will ensure that your sound is uniform throughout the vehicle. I would imagine that our factory head units have similar power. I am having an Alpine power pack amp installed tomorrow. The Honda factory head units simply do not supply enough power to aftermarket speakers. I am expecting a dramatic difference based off of reviews and research I have done.

Anyone have this in a Miata NA? I have an 1990 Mazda Miata NA and am wondering how the fit and performance was.

I have these in my 2001 VW Cabrio. If you are concerned about sound quality, clarity, and volume with the top down, have no doubt. I regularly travel topless at "70"mph with no audible wind noise - these units overcome it, at least when paired to my Sony MEX-GS810BH headunit. Moreover, get in touch with Jasan at Crutchfield - he recommended these to me - as I believe he uses a similar set in his convertible, which is an S2000 as I recall.

Not sure of the fit because I put them in my bmw 325i rear deck and they fit like factory. Very easy. Quality is very good. They sound strong and crisp.

I installed them in a 06 Beetle and they worked out nicely for me.
