The QLH-1.2512DS hatchback box accommodates two 12" subwoofers in a sturdy medium-density fiberboard housing, upholstered with durable grey carpet. You can use it as a sealed enclosure, or take advantage of the massive slot vent for truly big bass.
Q-Logic's exclusive interchangeable baffles make these boxes extremely versatile. Got a square sub? You can purchase square baffles to accommodate them. There are even blank baffles available for custom shapes.
The baffles' black finish showcases your subs with style. Since basket design and bolt patterns vary with each subwoofer brand, Q-Logic's ingenious QXs seal rings allow you to customize the baffle openings for almost any woofers available. The box comes with nickel-plated spring post speaker terminals, speaker wire, and a screw pack for attaching the baffles.
This box will fit in trunks, hatchback spaces, and the rear area of most SUVs and vans. Please measure the planned installation location to ensure fit.

Features
Compatibility: This enclosure is designed to accommodate two 12" woofers. It is a Type 2 enclosure with a total internal volume of 2.5 cu. ft., and can be configured as a sealed or ported enclosure.
Materials: The box is constructed of 5/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), with a second 1" MDF panel attached to the front panel to provide the mounting baffle for the woofer. MDF resists flexing and has anti-resonant qualities.
Design: The enclosure consists of two 1.25 cu/ft chambers. For strength, Q-Logic uses a full dado groove on the front, back, top, and bottom panels. The side panels are glued, then locked into these grooves. The edges of the front, back, top and bottom use mitered joints, so there's 50% more surface area for the special glue that bonds them. The side panels of the box are recessed 0.5". The trapezoidal shape of the enclosure better utilizes trunk space by allowing you to put the enclosure against the angled back of the back seat. The enclosure is covered with durable gray carpet with tough ABS edge trim.
Interchangeable Baffles: The front baffles can be removed and replaced with optional baffles for woofers with non-round cutouts. Eight Allen-head screws can be removed, enabling you to remove each baffle. A 4mm Allen wrench is required to loosen/tighten the screws.
QXs-Rings: The QXs-Ring is a multi-diameter woofer mounting adapter which also seals the woofer into the enclosure. Each QXs-Ring has a series of rings around the outside to help center the woofer, and hash marks to help align the woofer's mounting holes. If the mounting diameter of the woofer is 11-1/8" or less, the woofer can be installed without trimming. For woofers with a larger mounting diameter, a portion of the QXs-Ring can be trimmed off, allowing for an extra 1/8" in woofer mounting diameter.
Pre-Cut Slot Port Hole: The box comes configured as a dual-compartment ported enclosure with a tuning frequency of 34Hz, with a pre-cut, 2-3/4" x 11-1/2" slot port with a hard plastic port flange between the woofer cutouts. If the driver manufacturer suggests using a sealed enclosure, or that a sealed enclosure is preferred, you can replace the port flange with the supplied slot port plug, using the same 4 screws from the port flange. Note: There are no provisions for port trimming with the slot port.
Spring Posts:
This enclosure has two sets of spring posts speaker terminals located on the
back of the
enclosure. The spring posts will accept bare wire,
pin connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Brackets: Brackets (not included) are recommended for more
secure mounting.
