This thing is a flimsy piece of crap. If I had an option for something higher quality I definitely would've. It worked but was super frustrating and I had to super glue the Radio Mounting arms to keep them stationary enough to work with.

I used this kit to install a double-DIN touchscreen in my 2015 Chevy Silverado. It's such a perfect replacement for the OEM bezzle. The OEM climate control module snapped perfectly in place. I thought it was going to be a tiny bit loose at first, but once it was installed in the dash she snugged up. The directions for mounting the aftermarket head and how the brackets work could be a little easier to understand, perhaps an extra illustration might clear things up. For example, the side tabs have two additional tabs at the back of each side. It's not immediately clear that these two tabs are designed to be cut off and used as spacers between the radio housing and the big square mounting tabs. They provide an illustration depicting almost everything else except this step. It -is- noted in the written instruction set but the way it is worded is slightly confusing. Overall though, I'm extremely pleased with the installation and outcome.

excellent product , to me looks factory to others with their $65,000 loaded trucks maybe not that perfect! holds radio (ilx-207 HEAVY UNIT) perfectly even without a rear support. easy installation & readable instructions that a beginner could understand. I really like that once installed you have a slight bump under the radio to rest your hand on while changing stations or tuning (like i have been for weeks now) if you do not have a remote for your radio.

Don't call it garbage.

Calling this dash kit garbage, would be an insult to garbage everywhere. This dash kit is extremely cheap, flimsy, and is a nightmare to work with. You have no option to slide the head unit out once it's installed in the dash kit either. You have to remove the entire dash kit to get to any wiring in the back. There are a couple of very flimsy plastic brackets that bolt into the head unit. First you have to set them in place on the front of the dash kit, and then you slide the head unit in and bolt it in through the brackets. The brackets just set in place on the front of the dash kit and are not secure. If you flex the front of the dash kit when installing it, the brackets and head unit will fall off. My head unit has fallen out of the dash kit twice. When that happens, you can't just pop it back into place. You have to unbolt the plastic brackets off of the head unit, set them back on the front of the dash kit (and hope they don't fall off before you get the head unit in your hands) , and then slide your head unit back to the right depth and bolt it back on. It's a nightmare. I can't imagine why this dash kit has such a high rating. Maybe people are buying it and then just giving it to an installer and not actually having to work with it. It might work okay with a single DIN stereo but it won't hold up to a double. I would highly recommend looking for a different dash kit and avoiding this one.

Perfect Fit! 2016 GMC Sierra

Would have gave 5 stars except the finish almost scratches if you just look at it wrong but everything else is good. The fit is pretty good especially to the dash The stereo itself fits good but you may have to be patient and work with it for a while to get how you want it The color is not a great match to the original but it's good enough and looks natural once installed I actually thought I might hate how my dash looked with aftermarket stereo as all pictures I'd seen online I never liked but it was surprisingly better plus either way you know it's Crutchfield so they will work with you great
