2018 Chevrolet Colorado
Exceedingly poor. Many of the clips were broken on arrival, and it did not fit the dash. Thankfully, not so many clips were broken to render it unusable. I had to make additional cuts that were not included in the instructions provided by Crutchfield. Also, the instructions included with the kit are very poor. The guiderails for the radio did not fit properly for a double din radio. Overall, it looks nice once finally installed, but I would not recommend it.

2015 Chevrolet Colorado
I have a 2015 Colorado with the base radio, 4" screen. The design and fit on this part was very disappointing. This kit provides a small cubby above the radio location that required significant additional alternation of the dash structure. This alternation was not shown at all in the Crutchfield installation guide. I called tech support on this and while the tech was friendly, he was not able to provide a solution. When I read the comments here I found that several other people had the same problem. You would think that Crutchfield had taken advantage of this feedback and offered a different part. The side mounting panels for the new radio snap weakly onto the dash panel; there are no screws that hold these parts together as with other competing kits. Additionally, the mounting tabs for the HVAC vents are poor quality. The stock part has 6 tabs per vent but this part only uses four.

Well fitting product,Once assembled can pull out assembly as often as needed with 4 bolts

Cons: Weight of radio seemed to make side bracket plates attachment weak.When assembled ran bead of superglue down joints and installed strap off back of radio to storage pocket.

2016 Chevrolet Colorado
This has decent looks overall once you get it installed. However, the trim bezel does not snap into the main dash panel properly; one corner is loose and wiggles and jiggles. This kit provides a small cubby located above the radio location which, while convenient to have, required significantly more cutting away of the dash structure than is shown in the Crutchfield installation guide. The side mounting panels just snap onto the dash panel; there are no screws that hold these parts together as with other competing kits. Also, the side mounting panels that support the radio have a shim/doubler which increases the overall width of the assembly and necessitated further cutting away of the original factory radio mounting rails.
Pros: Looks nice. Adds small storage cubby.
Cons: Loose trim bezel. Requires significantly more cutting of factory dash than shown in Crutchfield guides.

Severe altering of the dash panel

This item does not fit a 17 chevrolet colorado without severely altering the sub-dash. It is stated that for a double din stereo the the sub-dash has to modified,whcih makes sense because there are factory rails holding the single DIN. Where it it has a major defect, and I don't know if there was a different version before, but the pocket at the of the dash kit hits the sub-dash in it's entire length. Meaning that whether you were installing a single or a double din stereo, that top pocket is not removable thus making the installer having to modify the sub-dash on an additional location to the rails that have to be modified as well. Maybe the dash kit fits better on newer models but definetly not a 2017 model.

Cons: Does not fit a 17 Chevy Colorado Instructions not as clearly and does describe the modification of the sub dash.

Had to modify much more than advertised. The little cubbie at the top I had to cut away half of the top area of radio compartment. This should not be used in 2015 - 2021 Colorado.

Absolute perfection. This kit has the ability to work for single DIN or double DIN units. The instructions are clear. The fit is fantastic. You would never know that this is not the same dash that came from the factory. It even came with replacement alligator clips that most likely got damaged when removing the factory bezel.

This fit PERFECTLY in a 2022 GMC Canyon! I didn't even have to cut or modify the dash space. I noticed that an upper pocket was added compared to the original which had no pocket.

The fit on this part was extremely disappointing. The stock HVAC vents are removed from your old dash and snap into this new bezel but the poorly molded tabs are an dodgy fit. Stock has 6 tabs per vent but his bezel only uses four. Ultimately, I discarded this part and replaced it with a Meta 95-3016G. The fit is far superior.

This kit works fine to mount the radio. Very solid, radio isnt gonna move. Only complaint i have is fitment to dash. It fits ok and i can deal with it, but the trim doesnt fit perfectly.

Overall, this is a decent install kit for a 2015-17 Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon, but I did have to cut out the factory rails for the original radio tuner, something usually not required in a single DIN install. With the storage pockets above, and below, the space for the radio was in the center of the kit. The Pioneer DEH-X7800BHS head unit made contact with the factory rails.
Pros: Pretty sturdy install kit.
Cons: Instruction not always concise. Install actually became a Double DIN type, as my Single DIN radio contacted the factory tuner rails, causing them to have to be cut out.
