The instructions that come with this are absolute garbage. Also, it doesn't work fully with some radios. The one I bought was the Sony DSX-M855BT and it doesn't fit correctly with the sleeve on the radio (this sleeve helps keep the radio from jiggling). There are also no screws included to screw the radio to the bracket to keep it from moving. I also needed to remove the beauty ring from the radio face which now means that the radio is too short to fill the space and there is an open slot right into the fairing. With some finagling and help from a friend I was able to make this work. I would be very careful when using this and make sure that your radio will work properly. As a side tip, if you intend on using the faceplate that has the cover, get a radio that does not have a volume KNOB, it will not fit.
