These fit perfectly in the ND Mazda MX-5 Miata once you snap off the five small tabs, which is easily done with pliers. They move the speaker out about 0.5 inches from the door, which brings them closer to the grille. No modifications required. Highly recommended.

I get that they are a one size fits most. The screws included slid through the mounting holes. With the application into my car modifications had to be made, removed the tabs and measured. The speaker and metal grate installed into my car was still a 1/4 inch to high and would not let the door card slide over and lock into position. Inner of the door card was cut with a cut off wheel to provide space. The ring was held on there but very loosely. Ended up adding some hot glue into the screw mounting holes to give the screws something to grip into. With my car the 3 mounting screws that secured it to the steel of the door were slightly off and had to be shaved down with an air grinder and rasp bit I had on hand. Works for what I need it to do. Not as tight as oem and sits out a bit further but after modifying it it will work for me. Nice that it was included in the price of the speakers. 2016 scion ia

These brackets came with the 6 1/2" kicker 46csc654 for the rear doors in my '17 Explorer. They mounted to the door perfectly, however there was not a slot for the wiring harness to come through the bracket to the mate to the factory connector. I had to cut a notch with a pair of cutting pliers to accomplish this. Also, the mounting holes for the speaker to bracket were too large for the supplied screws and I had to go to a hardware store to obtain the correct larger diameter screws.

I used these with the Kicker 46CSC674 for the rear doors in my Mazda. The fit was great, although it needed just a tiny little stretch to get the last screw in. Others have pointed out that there are no holes for the wire to come through, but in my install, there is a hole above the speaker that had tape on it. Pull the tape, feed the wires in, connect the harness! Piece of cake. So no mods needed for this bracket.

Bracket requires a hole on the side to allow the wires to come through. Not all cars have wires coming from behind the speaker. My Nissan Rogue did not.

These work well. The only thing you need to know is that you will need to cut a notch in the adapter for the wire to come through. Nissan speaker connectors are not on the inside of the door and these do not have a pre-cut notch to accommodate. Remove the inner tabs, cut this small notch, and you are ready to do.

These worked well overall with one important caveat. On my 2023 Mazda CX-5, the mounting points in my doors are slightly elevated. Its because of these inserts Mazda uses to receive the three mounting bolts. This results in these adapters floating a several millimeters above the metal door frame. Since this lack of uniform speaker to door contact and lack of a seal would significantly reduce audio performance, I used the Dynamat speaker squares I had also purchased to create a gasket. Two gaskets for each speaker actually because the adapters floated that much above the door I needed double the thickness. Worked out very well in the end, but far from the bolt on application that they are made out to be.

These were sent to me free of charge with my speaker purchase for my 18 Nissan Sentra and they worked almost perfectly. The Nissan speaker plug is on the side and the new speakers plug is on the back. I just notched the plastic to allow the wires to run through and everything worked out. Perfect fit for both the speakers and the door mount. Glad they came with my purchase.

Worked to mount kenwood kfc-1666s speakers into 2014 Sentra front door fine. A spot to pass the wire from the front to rear would be handy. The metra wiring adapters were not long enough to be routed internally so they had to be passed through the bracket. One of the slots in the adapter for speaker mounting was just big enough for the wires so it worked out fine.

On the OE speakers, these mounts are built into the speakers, with other speaker replacement companies, you have to cut the speakers from the door mounts and drill holes to accept the replacement speakers, since mounts are not provided. Since these speakers cane in the kit for my sons Xterra, nothing was needed other than a phillips head screw driver.

This is a universal type mount. For my 2018 Nissan Sentra I had to remove the inside tabs for my 6.75 inch new speakers to fit. The outside mounting holes fit perfectly on the car door frame. There were a variety of speaker mount holes some of which worked for my new speakers. I just wish some of the speaker mount holes were smaller for a tighter screw fit. I had to use pliers to create a notch in the side of the brackets so that the speaker wires could fit through.

Great brackets, but the holes didnt align with Rockford Fosgate R1675S. I had to drill and use the mounting clips that came with the speakers. Small inconvenience but the fit was good.

Absolutely perfect fit for my car (2014 Nissan Versa SV) and speakers (Kenwood KFC-1666S; 6.5 inch). Getting the speakers into the mounting brackets was the hardest part. Remember if you have a 6.5 inch speaker to remove the inner tabs!

After breaking off the inner mounting tabs, these brackets worked very well mounting my new 6.5" Infinity Kappa speakers into my 2006 Nissan Altima SE-R. The only problem I could see becoming a problem is lack of soft gasket material to go between the brackets and speakers and between the brackets and the vehicle. I used RTV to glue the bracket and speaker together.
Pros: Perfect fit for my 2006 Nissan Altima SE-R front doors.
Cons: Should come with some gasket material to prevent vibration between brackets and speakers and vehicle.

2018 Nissan Rogue
I have a 2021 Nissan Sentra SR. While the bracket did line up with the bolt holes in my doors, I could not use the 6 1/2 speakers because the speaker hole in the door will not allow it as it is an oblong shape. The stock speakers are 6 1/2 but they are so shallow they don't need to go through the hole in the door. I had to use 5 1/4 speakers to be able to clear the hole in the door.
Pros: Holes in bracket lined up with bolt holes of factory speaker bracket.
Cons: Could not use 6 1/2 speakers. Had to use 5 1/4 to clear the stock speaker hole.

I got these for free with the purchase of 6.5" Rockford Fosgate speakers for my '21 Nissan Versa. I am glad that I got them. I did have to trim-out the inner tabs of these rings to get my speakers to fit though. A couple of minutes with some sheet metal cutters & a file, easy peasy. I wish they were made with solid plastic or even wood, as they are kind of flimsy. I also wish they came with screws to secure the speakers to them. Hey, but they are better than nothing. Also, if you get these brackets, consider buying some thin rubber foam weatherstriping to line bottom & top of these rings for a better fit.
Pros: Free. Gives much needed clearance to keep door glass from hitting speakers. Light. Fits stock speaker bolt pattern.
Cons: Not the strongest. Does not come with any mounting hardware. Some customization may be needed to make it work.

These mounts were for the rear doors on my 2016 Mazda 3. They work fine, but I have some critiques. 1. There's no hole for the wire harness. You have to drill that out yourself. Takes some experimentation and planning. I don't know why the manufacturer didn't drill out a hole at the factory - the bigger mounts have a slot, so why not these? 2. The fit wasn't perfect for the screw holes on the car door. Ultimately, it still worked, but you have to put some pressure on the mount to stretch it slightly in order to get the screws in properly. 3. No seal is included on the bottom - you have to DIY one yourself. I used window insulation foam from Home Depot. I had to cut it to size, but it worked.

2 stars because I was able to make these ultimately work with modifications. The basket on the Focal RCX-165 was too big to fit so I had to remove all the inner tabs for the speaker to sit flush with the brackets. I then had to shorten the speaker mounting screws in order to clear the inner door skin on my Nissan Frontier. Took some effort and additional time, but in the end I was able to make them work.

Brackets were a perfect fit. Inside tabs are removed for 6.5" and 6.75" speakers. I recommend using foam strips on the front and back to provide an optimal seal. I installed Focal PC 165FE for the rear door fill.

Cons: None, but foam seals should be included. This is not a deal breaker and a roll of foam is cheap

No instructions on how to mount the speaker onto the bracket. Had to call Crutchfield to get clarification. Easy fix over the phone, but could be improved by having instructions with the product. Also, there are no holes on the side to thread the speaker wire through. You either have to drill holes yourself or finagle the wire through holes in the the door frame to get to the wiring harness. There were no indications that I needed to drill holes until after I purchased the product. Rather, the installation guide only said I needed a screwdriver and panel removal tools. It did not mention anything about needing a drill until after I made the purchase. It was disappointing to figure it out after-the-fact.
Pros: It works when it correctly installed.
Cons: No holes on the side to thread the speaker wires through. Giant pain if you don't have a drill.

Speakers I purchased had wider diameter mounting holes than allowed for on this mount. I had to slightly flex the mount (easier said than done) to make the mounting holes. Other than that, they fit well in the door. Maybe I should be complaining about the speaker, not the mount...I don't know.

Perfect fit for 2014 Nissan Versa Note. If using 6 3/4 speakers, you'll have to remove the inner tabs. After I figured that out, my speakers fit perfectly great. A Foam Gasket would be nice to include, but no points docked for not including one.

If it aligns, it's perfect. No room for adjustment of the screw slots. It would have been a great saver if it had multiple slot option (or adjustable positions for screw slots) for fastening this with the door. When fastening the speaker, screws doesn't fit evenly with the rest of the surface. Would need foam gasket to fit tightly against the door. I am not sure if the one provided just for the speakers would suffice - probably will be a leaky seal losing bass..

When placing the speakers on these brackets the screws do not hold the speakers tight and the height of the brackets is smaller than the stock the speaker magnets go deeper in the rear doors on my 2015 Mazda 6

They worked, but came with absolutely zero guide as far as usage. It turns out you can use plyers to snap off the little tabs from the inner part for various speaker sizes. I found that info on youtube. Even the product web site didn't help. Not everyone has done this before. Ultimately, they did what they were supposed to, so 4 stars. 1st one took an hour. Next 3 took a combined 5 minutes.

Brackets worked perfectly, intuitive fitment, easy peasey. It would be a fantastic design improvement to add some holes in the side of the bracket to pass the wires through instead of 'squishing' them between the bracket and the door. I rate a 9.5/10 due to this slight room for improvement.

This brackets fit perfectly in the vehicle without having to do any kind of alterations whatsoever which translates to an almost effort less install. It is about 2/8In shorter than tne original speaker assembly.
Pros: Basically it's very easy to install without removing anything else than the speakers.

Driver side passenger door lined up perfectly. I did have alignment issues with the passenger side rear door. I resolved it by using my dremel to open up two screw holes and was a lemon to securely mount the bracket and speaker to the door. Wish there was an opening for the speaker wires like the Metra brackets have for the front doors.

Cons: Hole just a little too big for screws that came with Kicker Full range 6.75 4 ohm speakers. Either use a little bigger screws or add regular glue to hole then add screws before glue dries, then wait until glue dries before installing in car (depends on glue. for a couple of hours or wait until the next day). I drilled an extra hole in the side for the speaker wires.

These fit my 16 Pathfinder perfectly, however had to modify slightly to get the Kickers to fit. Had to remove the inside tabs so that the speakers would sit flush inside the opening. Just a couple of minutes to modify and I was in business.

These brackets were shipped with my order for a 2006 Nissan Xterra. In order to have them fit the new speakers (from stock Blaupunkt to Rockford Fosgate) the tabs on the inside had to be cut off and a notch cut into the side for wire passage. I also had to cut the rear door pannels as these adapters makes the speakers sit further out from the door. The only other option to avoid all of this is to cut the sheetmetal of the door. The screw holes were also just slightly misaligned so new holes needed to be drilled.

Great bracket. I had to get these to install some Hertz Uno speakers. At first I thought they didn't fit but I had to break the inner tabs and it fit perfect with the speakers I bought. The only thing I didn't like was that it doesn't come with screws to attach the speakers to the bracket. Thankfully I was replacing aftermarket speakers that already had installed in my car. I had previous brackets with screws that didn't fit the Uno speakers so I used the ones I already had.

These came free with my component speaker purchase for my 2004 350Z, and made the door woofer install much simpler. There are tabs for fitting a smaller speaker to these brackets, which I went ahead and removed (box cutters and pliers) so that the Boom Mat baffles would fit better inside of the bracket. Then it's as simple as screwing the speaker to the bracket, and then install the bracket onto the door panel. Simple, easy, and a great fit! Thank you, Crutchfield, for the amazing support! One thing that would have been nice to have on these brackets, if AI is looking to upgrade the design at some point, is to provide a hole in the side of the bracket or a notch on the edge, for running the speaker lines through/under so they don't get squashed between the bracket and the door panel.

Great Speaker Brackets

The brackets themselves work well. They fit behind the front doors of my 2013 Nissan Altima and allowed me to install 6.5" component speakers in my doors without modification. The only negative is that they didn't come with screws, as many other speaker bracket systems do. You must either save your original screws or find new screws that fit in your doors. That is the reason these are 4 stars and not 5. I used foam tape on the top of mine to create an acoustic seal between the bracket and speaker. That also helps sound quality.
Pros: Easy to use, prevents modifying my doors, allows for 6.5" speakers in my doors

I see a lot of reviews on here saying these brackets do not work and are too small for 6 3/4" speakers. You have to read the instructions and break off the mounts on the inside of the bracket that are there for mounting standard 6 1/2" speakers. You can do this easily with a pair of needle nose pliers. These brackets worked perfectly to install my Rockford Fosgate 6 3/4"s in the front and rear doors of my 2002 Nissan Maxima. Very pleased with the results.
Pros: With minor modification they allow you to easily install a larger 6 3/4" speaker for bigger sound as opposed to a 6 1/2", and free with your speaker purchase.
Cons: Supplied screws with speakers are too long to use with brackets. Had to take a trip to my local hardware store to buy shorter screws to mount the speakers, but in the end I was very pleased with the result. Purchased silver machine screws which worked very well threading into the plastic and firmly holding the speaker to the bracket. The key is to not over tighten them.

Back when I replaced the front speakers these adapters were not available yet, so I could only do the front. They worked fine, but I had to use the screws from the speaker box. I'm surprised these didn't come with screws.

This was recommended for a 2017 Mazda CX 5. The bracket is meant for Nissans but it fit our mazda 90% of the way. The holes do not line up exact. You will need to trim the hole out longer or else you'll barely get two screws in, and the screw peg will get pulled out.
Pros: Cheap, works for what i needed, and plenty of holes for different configs

I used these with Rockford Fosgate 6.75" speakers, and that required me to drill holes for the slightly wider spacing. It would also be nice to have a gasket for sealing properly to the door and speakers. But at least they were usable, just required a little work.

These mounting brackets are not exactly to what the vehicle comes with. You have to modify them a little bit to get the to work for the 2005 Nissan Frontier crew cab. In the process trying to tie down the speakers to the bracket my screw driver went right through 1 of the brand new speakers. I was so mad I could have just lost it.... If you are going to say that it is for a specific vehicle it should be exactly what you are replacing. Not Cool on the brand new busted speaker what a shame...

Best to use the mounting brackets when installing aftermarket speakers. 99% of the time the openings are larger than necessary, so these will fill that gap. Which, in turn, will make the speaker you put in the door or deck sound the best that it can. Otherwise you will lose the low end of its sound spectrum. These mounting brackets work great, and make things not only easier, but look MUCH better than some ill fitment.

These things were awesome. They made the speakers I want to put in fit exactly where the factor speakers came out. They're a little thin. Could be more rugged but overall excellent exact fit. I have a 2016 Nissan Versa Note. They fit all four doors. I installed two Sony six and a half, six and three quarters, and I installed two JBL GTO series 638 speakers. So they'll fit those as far as hole placement and they fit the doors perfect.
Pros: The pros are they fit the OEM holes perfectly after you take the stock speakers out. And, they made the install a whole lot less tedious. They helped me shave a bunch of time off my install.
Cons: The cons are they're a little thin. They kind of feel flimsy. They're not the most rugged feeling. I guess time will tell.

Overall it works well. It's a universal fit but there aren't any instructions and if you're installing 6.75 speakers you have to break out the plastic pieces that stick out towards the middle otherwise your speakers won't fit correctly and the hole won't line up. I had to call tech support, which was great, and they told me how to fix the issue.

Cons: Just add some simple instructions. It wouldn't take much.

These mounting brackets lined up perfectly with my stock speaker mounting holes for my 2014 Nissan Rogue. However, they were a bit shallower than my stock speakers were. The screws that came with my speakers were longer than the bracket, so I had to find shorter screws to mount my speaker to these brackets. Also, I bought 6.75" speakers, which these brackets can accommodate, however, you have to remove all the black tabs around the inside of the brackets, which is not easily done.
