The best connectors

These are pretty good speaker connectors very easy to attach my big wire. I wish they fit a little tighter in my Klipsch speakers, and they're so convenient when you want to move your speakers.

Can take some thick wire! I have 12 gauge with them now and could easily have run two of those wires into the connector!

A better banana plug

These banana plugs are simple to put on the speaker wire. Easily accepted my 12 gauge wire. With to screws to secure the wire, they make a very secure connection. These are the best banana connectors I have used (and I've seen plenty over the years.

They are just like they one that are on their speaker wire. They have 2 screws up top and the bottom strip you wire back and tighten screws down.

Good to have for speaker connections

The Crutchfield Banana Connectors are good to have to connect, disconnect, and re-connect speaker connections. Once they are connected to the speaker wires, they make it much easier than putting bare wire into a terminal on an audio receiver and tightening the terminal (or push and release). But make sure your receiver has banana plug terminals before you buy these.

Unless you have extremely tiny fingers, this product won't work for you. The screws that you have to unscrew and then screw back in are extremely small. Crutchfield was more than fair when I called them about this. They need to come with a better design.

After attempting to install speaker wires to Demon avr , talked to tech support, ended up not using these plugs. Was afraid to use a hammer on a new receiver, that would be the only way to get them to plug into. Way to big plug endd.

Pretty + Useless = Pretty Useless

A customer supprt person I spoke with on the phone said I could use these to attach speaker wires to the termials on the back of my amplifier. He also said that they would come with instructions and the tiny screw driver necessary for connecting the speaker wire to them. When I received them there were no instruction nor a tiny screw driver. Also, looking at the end of these banana connectors, I could not see any way that they could be inserted into any part of the speaker wire terminals on the back of my amplifier. Finally, I was able to connect the speaker wire to the terminals without using these banana connectors.

Very Solid

It was very simple to feed in the speaker wire and to clamp down with set screw. After screwing the 2 pieces back together it made for a very snug fit once attached to my amp. Would certainly order again, product appears well built.

The price is right for these and the quality appears quite good. They were easy to terminate on the Crutchfield flat speaker wire I added them to. The banana connections were a little hard to insert into both my Totem Arro speakers and Marantz receiver. Not a real "con" since they do go in (with just a little extra "umph") and a tight fit insures a good connection. I would purchase again if the need arises in the future.

Very well designed and easy to use product with adjustable width

At first sight, the diameter of the Crutchfield Banana plugs seemed to be twice that of the speaker outputs on my Cambridge audio amplifier. However, they have what I will call a basket design. A Cambridge technician told me that plugs could be adjusted to fit the width of speaker jack by gradually pinching them from the tip down with a pair of pinch-nose pliers rotating them in the pliers and gradually pinching them tighter with each rotation until I achieved the proper fit. ("From the tip down" means that pliers should be in line with plug, not perpendicular to it.)

I had a problem with one of the connectors. the outside grip part was so tightly screwed onto the internal banana part that it wouldnt come loose. Eventually going from zero force to higher force to uncouple the two segments caused the inner banana part to break. The other connector was not a problem. I actually like the design, and the set-screw feature makes for a good connection that is dependable.
