Flexible plastic and sturdy
Anthony from Los Angeles, CA on 6/24/2025
2022 Honda Civic
I wasn't sure that 3 prying tools were enough or that the size was big enough for my car project, but they were perfect for every panel that needed to be removed. Just a tip: when prying, never slide the tool because you'll mess up the trim. Just pry in the spot that you chose without sliding.

Great sound dampener install tools
Ray from Boise, ID on 4/4/2024
These tools are way too flimsy to pry door card retainers by themselves. They do work good at not scratching door card while removing the small cover plates behind door handles and trim pieces holding the power switches, etc. But for actually needing to break loose the push pins on door cards, buy a metal tool designed for this. Actually, the best use of these tools I've found is to use them to install your sound dampening pads. I.E. dynomat, 2nd Skin etc. They work super awesome at rolling, smoothing out the hard to get places, and even the easy to get at places that a roller tool normally sold for that task.
Pros: Doesn't scratch paint or plastic parts on door cards.
Cons: Too flimsy for actual door card removal

Too easy to break
Adam from Utah on 2/26/2024
I purchased the Crutchfield-branded pry tools over other brands because it was giving me 50% off with my purchase. While the tools did work part of the time during my install I ultimately went with a screwdriver over these. On my first try using the tools I ended up snapping the head off of the tool. I attempted to use all three of them and each of them had part of the tip break off. Quality-wise they could use some work. I, ultimately, got everything installed but it would have been better for me to purchase another brand of these tools or nothing at all because my confidence in this set was low after breaking the tip off of one of these after giving it a little bit of pressure

Speaker Installation Tools
Neil from Moreno Valley, CA on 7/21/2023
These came free with a pair of Kenwood speakers for my 2014 F-150. The tools may be useful for most trim pieces but did not help with the two door panels that had to be removed. One tool was too wide to slip under the door handle 1x1 screw cover. The other tool was to bulky to get in back of the plastic panel in back of the door handle. I used a small screwdriver and a 90-degree pick for the job. These tools are still handy and I will use them in other applications. Nice to have.
Pros: Nice to have tools.
Cons: Too big for me speaker installation needs.

Useful but not very durable...
Eli from HAVRE, MT on 5/24/2023
Using tools like this makes removing body panels a lot easier. However, these will snap if you apply too much force. If you plan to install a lot of speakers, I'd recommend buying metal versions. These work great for a one time install.
Pros: Helpful if used carefully.
Cons: Flimsy plastic that you can easily break.

These were great, although they could be a little tougher. I snapped off the angled one trying to get my door panel off. We finally had to use a metal pry bar to get it out, but for trim pieces, gaskets, etc, these were a must-have. If they had a little less "bend" to them, they would be perfect.
