These sleek over-ears offer customizable noise cancellation, and some innovative, on-the-go features. Of course, music and podcasts play wirelessly from your phone via Bluetooth. But you also have one-touch access to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa via your smartphone. Ask questions, dictate texts, or control your tunes by voice — with no awkward delays.
Manually adjust your noise cancellation
The Headphone 700s offer Bose's legendary noise cancellation, but with a convenient twist. You have precise control over how much external noise they block out. Just tap a button on the left earcup to select low, medium, and high levels of noise cancellation. Or use the Bose Music app to step through 11 discrete levels of the noise-cancelling effect.
In a quiet office, a lower setting may be enough to knock out the hum of the HVAC system. While on a plane, you'd probably use the highest level to make the super-loud engine drone melt away.
Touch controls and a convenient way to hear others
"Conversation mode" quickly turns off noise-canceling so you can hear other people or your surroundings.
The right earcup also has a touch-sensitive panel. You control music, volume, and calls with a simple tap or swipe of your finger. Bose has a powerful four-microphone system built in to ensure your calls sound clear in loud or windy places.
You can also use those mics to let in important ambient noise or voices. "Conversation mode" will temporarily turn off the noise-canceling technology so you can hear a co-worker or in-flight instructions. Simply hold the noise cancellation button on the left earcup, and the built-in mics will pick up external sounds and voices.
20 hours of wireless use with noise cancellation
The Bose Noise Cancelling 700 headphones have a built-in rechargeable battery and include a charging cable. On a full charge, you can get up to 20 hours of wireless listening with noise cancellation on. A voice prompt tells you how much battery life you have left every time you power them on. It will also tell you when you're paired with your Bluetooth® device.

Overview: The new Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 bring together the latest technology in noise cancellation and sound quality, as well as smart technology and Bluetooth, to provide a total personal listening experience. The headphones feature touch controls for playback and phone call functions, plus access to Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant, or other voice control for your mobile device. The Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 come with an audio cable, USB-C charging cable, and a hard zippered carrying case.
Bluetooth 5.0: The NC 700 features Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology that lets you listen to your favorite music and make phone calls while your phone stays in your pocket or purse. Bluetooth range is up to 33 feet (10 meters). Multi-point technology allows the headphones to be actively connected to two devices at a time, however you can only play audio from one device at a time. Each time you pair the headphones to a new device, that device is stored in the internal memory for easy reconnection. Up to 8 devices can be stored in the headphones' device list.
Voice Assistant Options: The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 can be programmed to quickly and easily access your favorite voice assistant, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Setup is performed in the Bose Music app (compatible with iOS 14.1 or later and Android - version varies), and the headphones have a dedicated Voice Assistant button for easy activation.
On-board/Touch Headphone Controls: The NC 700 wireless headphones feature a combination of on-board hard controls and touch controls. There are two buttons on the right earcup (Power/Bluetooth and Voice Assistant/Mute) and one on the left (Noise Control). In addition, the front half of the right earcup has a touch surface that is sensitive to tap and swipe action to play/pause music, skip forward/backward, change volume, and perform basic phone call functions.
Voice Prompts: Voice Prompts in the headphones guide you through the Bluetooth pairing process, powering on and off, call notifications, and for battery status updates. Voice Prompts are available in multiple languages. You can manage Voice Prompts in the Bose Music app.
Noise Cancelling: The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 offer improved noise cancellation over the Quiet Comfort 35 II, utilizing both active and passive noise reduction technologies. Six microphones are used for noise cancellation--four outside and two inside the earcups. The microphones pick up environmental sounds, then measures, compares, and instantly reacts with an opposite cancellation signal. A new acoustic design and premium materials help to achieve improved passive noise reduction. There are 11 levels of noise cancellation, from near silence (10) and full transparency (0). You can select three levels as Favorites, which you can cycle through using the Noise Control button. The Favorites can be customized using the Bose Music app.
Conversation Mode: The Conversation Mode lets you instantly pause your audio and switch Noise Cancellation off by pressing the Noise Control button for 1 second. This allows you to have a quick conversation with someone, or instantly become aware of your surroundings. When you're ready to resume listening, simply press any button or tap the touch surface to exit Conversation Mode. The headphones return to the previous noise cancelling level and your audio resumes playing.
Phone Calls and Self Voice: The Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 utilize four microphones for phone calls resulting in optimum voice pickup. There are two dedicated mics for calls, plus two that are also used for Noise Cancellation. When you answer a call, the headphones remain at the current noise cancellation level, and Self Voice activates to help you hear yourself more naturally on the call. You can press the Noise Control button to increase or decrease the noise cancellation during the call.
Bose AR: Bose AR is an audio Augmented Reality platform that combines Bose headphones, your mobile device, and special mobile apps to give you an enhanced audio experience while you travel, work out, enjoy music, or go about your day. Motion sensors in the headphones can detect your head orientation and body movement while you wear them. Bose AR-enabled apps use this information, along with location data from your mobile phone or tablet, to provide custom audio content for your current location and activity. Bose AR is currently compatible with iPhone and iPad. There are also Bose AR-enhanced apps available for Android users in development.
Battery Powered: The headphones have a custom-designed Lithium-ion rechargeable battery, which powers both Bluetooth and active Noise Cancellation. To save power, the Auto-Off feature uses motion detection to automatically power off the headphone when you have not moved the headphones for 10 minutes. The battery charges in about 2.5 hours via the supplied USB-C cable. A fully charged battery will power the headphones for up to 20 hours. A 15-minute Quick Charge will provide enough power to operate the headphones for up to 3.5 hours. An LED battery indicator on the right ear cup shows the charging status. You can also get an immediate Voice Prompt with the battery level by tapping and holding the touch surface. Even when the battery is depleted, you can still listen to music by plugging in the supplied 42" audio cable.
Bose SimpleSync: Bose SimpleSync allows you to pair a member of the Bose Home Speaker family (sold separately) with the NC 700 for playback of the same audio signal. Use the Bose Music app on your Apple iOS or Android device to setup and enable SimpleSync. SimpleSync then provides a one-to-one connection for a maximum of two Bose products (the NC 700 and a Bose Home Speaker). The two products must remain within typical Bluetooth wireless range (30') of each other to stay connected. You'll be able to listen to the same audio signal from the Bose Home Speaker on the connected NC 700 headphone (you cannot listen to different sources). You can choose to listen on both the Bose Home Speaker and the NC 700 headphone at the same time with independent volume control; or just the speaker or the headphone. Compatible Bose Home Speakers include -

- Portable Home Speaker
Notes:
- You cannot wirelessly stream Bluetooth audio to a Bose Home Speaker and use SimpleSync at the same time.
- You can only sync audio from a Bose Home Speaker to the headphones; not from the headphones to the Bose Home Speaker.
Folding Ear Cups: The NC 700s feature hinged ear cups that rotate and fold flat for compact storage in the supplied carrying case.

Bought these to replace a 7 year old pair of Klipsch buds. Love the wireless and battery life. They were still comfortable after a 2 hour stunt. Sound is overall better than my previous buds, but the Klipsch delt with the deeper bass better. Overall very happy.
