This is just what I needed to power my Kenwood 180 watt speakers. It gives me the power I need when I want it. I'm very happy with how it powers my stereo. The only issue I have is that the master volume, bass, & treble controls are located on the back of the unit. With my setup being in a cabinet, it's a bit of a pain to get to them when you need them to.

Exceptional Amp
Horace from Chester, VA on 7/19/2023
I purchased this amp to add to my audio profile because my Yamaha C4 is being repaired. This amp is a Beast, it's a powerful amp. It's clean and crisp. I have a new appreciation for Jazz now. My Yamaha C4 and M4 are exceptional; however, this amp takes things to a new level. I'm running Infinity SM-152 Studio Monitors and they sound amazing. I'm truly pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend this amp. It's definitely a solid purchase.
Pros: Price Quality Power Music Definition Imaging
Cons: Rear controls

One for the price of two
Will from Delaware, OH on 3/31/2023
I just got two of these power amps and I was very excited to hook them up. Once I got them hooked up I attempted to bridge them both into 450 each powering one SVS ULTRA TOWER speaker. Neither would get any signal through. I couldn't find any issues with the hook ups so I called Crutchfield. We were able to get one amp playing the other had no.life. the lights were all on but nobody home. After getting the one working I might have decided to keep them but in order to get the levels to match my other chanels it had to be up so loud it had a hum. I've read many bad reviews online about this amp and a few on Crutchfield and I have to say the other online reviews appear to be more honest about problems. They spoke of the same problems I had. I think if my whole system was powered with power amps it might have been fine. I got the one amp going in bridge mode and it had respectable power but low volume hum very annoying. I think I will go with a 5 channel amp next time. But again 50/50 chance of getting a none working amp.
Pros: It looks better than the bad pictures in the reviews.
Cons: 50/50 chance of a woking amp and bad low volume hum

phil from denver on 12/21/2022
warning: the power knobs on the back may be set to zero initially, your amp is not DOA, it was shipped from the factory by idiots so much power... maybe too much... depending on your application i only have one source, a digital music streamer which i use to control the volume so that i can control everything from my phone. this unit is WAY too powerful for me to turn the volume all the way up on my phone EVEN with the amp's front volume dialed all the way down. other than that, holy cow, it's sooooo great for the price, so much clean power, class ab, low thd, auto input sensing, wooooo boy
Pros: POWER, class ab, low thd, auto on/off input signal sensor
Cons: overpowered... dials on the back are independant & unclear

Bad amp - yes you was
Bobby from Franklin, MA on 11/24/2022
Was looking for a high powered amp that could run 2 pairs of speakers together (A and B) or one pair at a time (A or B) that wouldn't break the bank. Unfortunately even though the stats said it would check all the boxes, this amp was bad - yes it was. Looked good and heavy out of the box. The first problem was it couldn't identify the pre amp. Used RCA cables as required. Checked and rechecked all connections. No go. Next bypassed the pre amp and plugged music source directly into the amp using RCA cables as required. Next no sound for the A speakers. Checked and rechecked connections again. Used 12 gauge high quality cables with banana plugs. Got sound for the B speakers but started skipping during the first song. Then clipping for the A and then the B speakers. Shut it down before it could damage my 2 pairs of tower speakers and put it back in the box. Contacted Crutchfield and they emailed me a return label. Shipped back and eventually received full credit for the purchase. Customer service and return policy make buying from Crutchfield the way to go when buying online. Would not buy this amp. The search continues. Peace, Love and Music!
Pros: Looks good and a heavy amp. Crutchfield customer service and return policy.
Cons: Everything else

So Far, So Good.. as a Subwoofer Amp!!
James from Dixieland on 10/20/2022
I have this amp powering two Polk Audio PSW125 subwoofers. Polk really dropped the ball on their amp plates especially concerning all their leaky capacitors. Long story short, both amp plates died at the same time and replacements are no longer avaliable. Throwing away both subs seemed a bit asinine, after seriously considering that option, because I discovered this amp!! Statistically it is an identical fit and the price is right in there! So, I rewired my subs with some 12 guage OFC and installed some heavy gold plated binding posts to them; which was a nice little Sunday afternoon project! Crutchfield sent some of their branded banana terminals and I am rockin with those too! Go check em out, they are better than they advertise! This amp powers my subwoofers better than the amp plates installed in my subwoofers from the factory! The sound is cleaner, more precise, and enduring than they have ever been! I am sending this amp the LFE signal from my pre amp split into two, via a quality splitter, into this amp's main L and R inputs. Ive got the treble all the way down and the bass all the way up on the rear. I run the volume maxed out all the time unless DTS encoding hits the pre amp which causes me to back it down some! Bass is fun so I keep it pumping! Im am thrilled with this amplifier so far! It puts a smile on my face everytime I turn it on!
Pros: As advertised! Or perhaps, more than advertised!
Cons: I would like to see more products made in countries other than China. Move to India already! .. or someplace more compatible with freedom, jeez!

Audiosouce for the win
Travis from Titusville, FL on 10/18/2022
Best power for the price. This is replacing a 20yo amp300 from the same company. Few asthetic changes(for the worse in my opinion, this thing looks like 1990's industrial tech) from the old one but the circuit is nearly identical. First one came in with issues( speaker selector button making feedback if moved) but Crutchfield customer service was quick to send out a replacement. Thanks for a great product at a price that cannot be matched.
Pros: -Power/price -Speaker line in(for those that need it) -Dual rca input w/ automatic line switch
Cons: -old amp300 was much easier on the eyes -green power lights? It's been 20 years since the change to blue as an industry standard...... -no balanced inputs

Suprised x 3
James from Ocala, FL on 9/30/2022
Wasn't sure of what I'd be getting. Most of the reviews on this amp were positive but there were a few negative and also of the very low price for the amount of power. Other amps of the same power rating cost 3 to 4 times as much. When I picked up the box for the first time I was suprised at how heavy it was. It was very well packaged and when I got it out of the box I was suprised for the second time. It looked better then it's pictures on the net [I mean for a basic retangular box] the front panel looked pretty good. I got it hooked up no problem and I was suprised for the third time it sounded really good. I have it hooked up to my Marantz 8006 and its working great as a preamp now. The 8006 was good on its own but I had this empty shelf at the bottom of my eq rack and I figered why not, that and it also takes some of the heat off the Marantz which should make it last longer. Heat is the thing shorten's the life of any HI-FI component. I am using 4 ohm Denton's with my new amp so I'm running at 225 w. and I have read that having more power than what the speaker is rated at will drive the speaker the best as long as your carefull not to turn up the volume to far. This amp has a volume cut off which I have set at 12 o'clock great way of protecting your speakers.
Pros: Great price for a good amp.
Cons: When power mode switch on back of amp is set to auto on it turns the amp back off to soon. If your just flipping over a record its fine but if your putting on a different one it will cut the amp off before you can q the tonearm. It turns the amp off 30 seconds after no signal. 5 to 10 minutes would be much better if there was a way to adjust it which I have not found yet.

Fabulous Amp
Thomas OConnor from Hot Springs, AR on 8/21/2022
Paired this amp with my Yamaha RS 700 receiver and it sounds fabulous! I had a DBX 1215 equalizer between the receiver and amp but it was way too much distortion and made the amp clip at lower volumes ultimately causing me to blow the tweeter out of a Klipsch RP 6000f speaker. As always Crutchfield honored the five year warranty and have upgraded me to a set of RP280f at no cost to me. Etch spent well over an hour on the phone completing the warranty processing and I truly appreciate his work. My RS700 does not even get warm now when playing for extended times. I can't recommend this product or Crutchfield enough for all your audio needs. You may find it a little cheaper on eBay but you will never get world class service like this!
Pros: Sounds great and easy to setup. Solid construction and heavy just like I wanted.
Cons: I can't run my equalizer with it but it's not the amps fault. My equalizer just put too much distortion into the amp causing it to clip.

Allen Park
Robert from Allen Park on 4/21/2021
I was coming of a Harman Kardon 100 watt amp. This one is supposed to be 150. Can't run the amp at 75% and the preamp at 5. It clips out. But If I run it at 60% and run just below 5 it works about the same sound I got out of my 100 watt HK. Its sounds are good and full.
Pros: Full deep sound for less than $2000 I have another set of speakers to hook up Will let you know how that goes. Has to be ran at less than half volume or it clips out. It does sound good its just not a good 150 watt amp. But it does run good around 100 watts.
Cons: At full on the back screws, it couldn't run one full song at half preamp, without clipping out.

Crutchfield customer from Steubenville, OH on 3/31/2020
It took 2 of these to get one that worked, but as usual, Crutchfield made it happen with minimal fuss. I'm still playing with the settings but initial impressions are clean, bright sound. I like that the amp doesn't color the music. I tried with a brass choir piece that really works the amp and speakers and was quite pleased with the results. Overall great "bang for the buck". There is sufficient power for the heavy bass sections, yet the treble section is clear and bell like. My only carp is the adjustments on the rear. Front knobs or even the screws they use on the back in a more accessible location would be appreciated. Still, once the adjustments are accomplished, that will be done - unless I change speakers. Good job to all those involved, and I will continue to patronize Crutchfield. You are the best!
Pros: It's a nice clean sounding amp.
Cons: As mentioned above, the rear adjustments are inconvenient.

Speaker level inputs???
Michael from Covington, WA on 3/6/2019
I bought this amp to power my second set of speakers and keep my receiver from running so hot. Mission accomplished. But why only four stars? I bought this model because it has speaker level inputs and my receiver has no line level outs for another amp. The main level controls have to be set higher when using the speaker inputs. I experienced a nasty hum/buzzing when the music was paused, while still there when playing the music, it would mask it, and the unit would cut out at low volume. Crutchfield was Awesome, they sent a new one right away at no cost to me to replace it. I wanted to make sure it was not my set up causing this so I rerouted wires and bought a better surge protector etc. When the replacement arrived it performed much better but still had a humming, but not nearly as bad as the first. I was impressed with the sound quality and so did not want to send the second unit back. What solved the problem was a speaker level to line level adapter. Once I started using the RCA inputs over the speaker, absolutely no Humming/buzzing!! The master volume settings are set way lower to achieve the same volume when using the RCA inputs. Moral of the story with me,,, Don't use Speaker inputs. I love all the equipment I have from Crutchfield but plan ahead with expansion in mind if you are going to be an audiophile.
Pros: Great sound and power!!! Unit does power down when no music is being played so not having a remote to turn it on and off does not seem to be an issue. This is a HEAVY unit but not a con since it just sits there doing its job!
Cons: I do not recommend using speaker level inputs!!! Consider a new receiver with pre outs if you even think you may want to expand in the future!

Terrible stay away
John from Edwardsville, IL on 3/3/2019
Unimpressed, did not work right out of the box. Returned it for a NAD 275c BEE. The NAD is phenomenal. Do not waste your time or money in this trash.
Pros: None
Cons: Explain how a company can send out a non functioning unit. It is a reflection of the manufacturers over all quality control. Avoid!

Great Amp
Bryan from Elgin, TX on 12/30/2017
Here's another Bryan (name spelled the correct way lol) with my review of this amp. This thing has more than enough power. It's clean, clear, and easy to set up. The price for what you get is great as I got it on sale! It has A and B zones, and you can use both zones at one time. I have 2 pairs of speakers hooked up and playing both zones. WOW, my house rocks like never before. The amp has base and treble adjustments, as well as A and B zone gain adjustments on the back. Which by the way is my only complaint. I wish AudioSource would have put all the controls on the front of the amp. But I'm guessing they wanted a cleaner look. On the front are the balance and volume controls. Super easy to set up and enjoy.
Pros: Base and Treble adjustment A, B and A+B zone ability
Cons: Base and Treble controls are on the back.
