Chevy Volt 2018

10X better than the stock speakers in my Chevy Volt! I'm hearing so many mids and highs I had no idea were in my songs. Truly life changing. Everything is so clear and even when I have the volume way high I don't feel overwhelmed because of how balanced it all is.
Pros: Clear, balanced, highs and kids, easy to install (in my particular car it was more difficult because the tweeters are in the dash but that's not the speaker's fault)
Cons: Wish the instructions were a bit more clear from the box

Much better sound than stock
Daniel from West Des Moines, IA on 11/24/2024

Huge sound improvement over the crappy stock speakers. Supplied brackets and wiring adapters made installation easy. Great sound so far. My first install of component speakers with tweeters. The install instructions could've been more detailed -especially on an install where no tweeter spot was existing.
Pros: Ease of install. Included mounting brackets and fast wiring clips. Plenty of hardware in the packaging.
Cons: Could use more instruction on tweeter install and placement. Tool list did not include a drill. I did not have an existing tweeter spot.

Perfect if you have or are adding a subwoofer.
Paul from ORLANDO, FL on 2/1/2022
2013 Dodge Dart
I bought these to replace some busted 6x9 door speakers. Now I knew that I was going to lose some bass with the smaller 6.5" speaker but I plan on adding one or two 10-in subwoofers and needed some speakers with good mid and high range. If you were not planning to upgrade your subwoofer or at least add one and you're replacing 6x9 door speakers don't buy these. These are perfect for what they're made for and sound excellent. Also if you're not the best with installing car audio and you're just looking for a speaker that you connect an adapter to put in the door and call it a day, definitely do not buy these. Finding a location to mount the Tweeter, drilling and cutting holes, running wire, and splicing / connecting wire is required for install. Last week, these are a fantastic deal if you can get them open box.
Pros: Good component setup when adding to existing subwoofer, great value.
Cons: Installation can be difficult.

Nice speakers for a decent price

These have a good sound for the price. The way the tweeter mounts was not the greatest way to do it, but overall the speakers sounded good.
Pros: Nice looking, Decent sound
Cons: The way the tweeter mounts with one hole in the center, they should have made the base of the tweeter mount first with two screws and then the actual tweeter snaps on to that.

2010 Dodge Grand Caravan
I bought these as a package with a new head unit and rear speakers fir an 2010 Grand Caravan that my wife and I inherited. The speakers are really good considering the price point, that is the reason for 4 stars. In fact because I bought this as a package, the rear set where half price. These are not audiophile quality speakers, that is the reason they are not 5 stars. However this was the perfect inexpensive upgrade to a worn out factory system. And as a bonus I now have Bluetooth and USB connectivity in the JVC head unit. As usual Crutchfield provided every thing we needed, including clear instruction sheets.
Pros: really good price
Cons: mid grade speakers

Great Speakers!
Crutchfield customer from Loveland, OH on 9/13/2020
2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Speakers sound great! Worth every penny. It was a much needed upgrade to the factory Wrangler speakers. Fabrication of tweeter mounts could be a difficult task since not everyone has a machine shop in their garage. Also, be sure to use double sided mounting tape between the woofers, mounting bracket, and box for Wrangler install. The boxes are sealed and this is a critical aspect of the install that is not mentioned. Overall, great speakers at a great price!
Pros: Crisp highs Clean mids and lows Great price point
Cons: More to do with the Jeep than the speakers... Tweeter mount fabrication can be difficult if you don't have a 3D printer or a mill on hand. Boxes need to be sealed so I had to technically do the install twice.

Pretty happy with these speakers! Replaced the 15 year old stock speakers in my Suby and these sound way better for sure. Replaced the head unit at the same time so the differences were probably even more evident. The adapters that were sent for the drivers fit with no issues. The tweeters did not quite fit into my factory mounts without some modification, but that was not difficult to deal with. Some of the other reviews indicated they were not happy with the bass, but I have been happy so far. Not sure if that is because I don't need that much bass or because the car has a factory subwoofer that still functions. I got these for 50% off which seems like a good deal to me!

Great speakers at 50% off.
Dennis from Seattle, WA on 6/1/2020
1994 Ford F Series
They came with everything needed to install. Several different options for tweeter install. I found it all pretty easy. Hardest problem I had was feeding the microphone wire through the dash for the stereo. I do think an amp and a sub would be a good addition tho. Between these and the new jvc 6x8 I got they sound pretty good but when trying to reach deeper richer bass tones it quickly becomes appearent that I'm asking them to do to much. So will be ordering a sub and amp from here in the near future. These speakers Excell at highs, mids and average bass tones, but if you want full spectrum you'll need to add a sub. I'm satisfied with what I got for my money. You get what you pay for.
Pros: Very easy install. Good value at 50% off.
Cons: Wish the tweeter wires were about 2 feet longer. I added my own and it's a very minor inconvenience but when the the woofer goes in door and you want tweeter in dash that little extra length helps. The less connections you have to make the better.

These speakers sound great! I have them hooked to my amplifier and they receive 45 watts. The sound from the tweeters are crystal clear and have allowed me to hear portions of my music I have never been able to hear before. The woofers do a great job at filling out the midrange sounds in my system!
Pros: Amazing highs and clarity from tweeters, woofers fill in the midrange sound clearly as well.
Cons: The surround on the woofer cone is very delicate. Be careful when drilling holes or simply mounting the speakers to not put any pressure on the surround.

Horribly anemic. Got these at 50% off and still think I overpaid. No way these things should be this price. Unless you are planning on adding a subwoofer AND a mid-bass speaker, move on to something else. Initially powered them by the in dash receiver and was highly disappointed. Figured adding an amplifier would bring them to life. Connected to a Pioneer 60 rms/channel amp, which is exactly what is recommended and still nothing in the bass, mid-bass, even midrange. Drums in music is nonexistent.

Set-up was fairly easy and straight forward. Component speakers take some extra time but still felt pretty easy and painless. Unfortunately, I have a 2002 GMC Yukon that has a factory subwoofer in it. How I currently have it set up the factory amp and crossover sends a lot of the low end to the factory sub (which is a piece of poo) so I cannot commit on the lower end of these speakers. I listen to a decent amount of country music and they work really well for that however.
