Paired this with a JVC head unit and it's a huge upgrade over 2016 Nissan Versa factory audio. They're not amazing or anything but the sound is more than adequate and between this and getting my windows tinted I'm more than happy enough with the little econobox now. Factory speakers and stereo sounded like trash, this sounds like I'm in a real car at least and it was a pretty good deal when paired with the head unit, got a 50% discount on the speakers.

The hardware to screw the speakers to the rings do not function for this application. The screws cannot be longer than the plastic of the rings.

Very good replacement for my stock speaker. Slightly muddy sounding however it's paired with factory dash speakers. Planning on replacing the dash speaker with new tweeters to clean up the sound. Should be a huge improvement.

JVC not usually a brand I buy but I didn't want a paper woofer.The spacer wasn't really wide enough unfortunately.Dont sound as good as the original actually being a 4 ohm and the spacer issue,but is good enough and the originals are busted.

Upgraded our "premium" BOSE stock speaker that stopped working and installed this pair of JVC speakers and sounds better than the stock option with less sound distortion. It's not going get any complaints from your neighbors outside but it is more than good at this price for a Leaf. Make sure you add all the recommended adapters for your car including mountain brackets and wire harness.

1995 Honda Del Sol
Bought a pair of JVC CS-DR621 to replace the blown front speakers on my 1995 Honda Del Sol. The factory Alpines are listed as 6.25 inch while the JVC's are 6.5 inches. The Crutchfield compatibility information was helpful to decide if these would fit. They fit perfectly and required no modification to the factory mounting hardware or grills. The wiring adapters simplified the process tremendously. Will definitely buy another set to replace the back speakers when necessary.
Pros: Inexpensive, simple to install and great sound.
Cons: Seem to require a little more power to operate than the factory units. Had to adjust the fader to compensate.

These were not good speakers at all. I should've listened to the other reviews. There was no bass at all. Not even a little bit. These were hooked up to an amp as well. They distorted even with the gain on the amp turned all the way down. If you like your music even the slightest bit loud these are not for you. I didn't even bother putting in the second set. The stock speakers were better than these.

This was a reasonable upgrade from the factory speaker, but then anything would be. They fit correctly in to my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX front door. Base is weak. The free accessories are required for installation. Perhaps I should have purchased the baffles, but they were not recommended. I probably would have been happier with the Infinity reference 5032 speakers.

I have them hooked up to JVC's 5 channel amplifier, and the really sound great, clear high, and great mid bass. I bought two pair if these JVC speakers, A set for the both front door speakers and a set for both back doors. I was hoping that they will sound way better than my factory speakers. but i install the both back door speakers, i didn't have time to to install the front door, i wanted to test the speakers by using the balance option on my head unit, to see how good they sound compare to both front door factory speakers, and if you didn't know what speakers are what, you'll think the factory speakers are the new and much better ones. that is how much the factory speakers sound way better than the jvc, by a mile. I'm really disappointed in these speakers. I'm not going to even bother installing the front door speakers, and since i'm not the type to go through the hassle in returning them, i'll just keep them for later. These speakers are definitely not an upgrade or even close to and replacement speakers

1993 Honda Accord LX
Have had for about 2 months to replace factory speakers in a 93 Honda Accord LX. My old speakers only played mids, but they were also original, economy, partly made of cardboard, and nearly 30 years old. I replaced both my door speakers and rear deck speakers. These speakers are a massive improvement and they sound a lot clearer and play lows, mids, and highs. They sound better than my family's 2016 van stock speakers. I can really feel the bass in the doors/floor. While the instructions said I would need to cut the cups in the doors to make the speakers fit, they just fit nicely without any cutting. I had gotten a new radio as well, though the previously poor sound was definitely my old speakers. I used the factory wiring, and no amp. The cool grilles that came with it didn't fit without cutting the OEM stuff, so I didn't use them.

I gave these a try based on the promotion of getting them half off with the purchase of a JVC receiver. For the price point, I expected a little more from these speakers. The sound is decent however very "thin" sounding. There is absolutely no bass, the mid bass sounds hollow and the highs are tinny.

They have better power than my factory ones for sure, but now my car is all treble and no bass. Maybe after I get some subs it will even out. I bought 2 pairs but think I should have bought one and tried like a pair of 3 way speakers in the back.

I had been putting up with a front door factory speaker which would work intermittently. I finally decided I can't take it any longer and chose these as the replacement. I didn't need anything high end - just good sound at a decent price. I ordered these at 10:30PM on a Wed and they were at my front door Fri at 4:30PM. WOW! Much faster than expected - especially during these COVID-19 times. The speaker packaging has a template on the back for the cut-out hole size and mounting holes which would be very helpful in a new install. They came with the Scosche "SAGTE6" mounting bracket which was great. A couple of the mounting hole locations were a bit off but no big deal - just drilled new ones where needed. The supplied adapter wire harness made the install extra easy. I like these so much (good bass and crisp highs) I am considering upgrading to the JVC CS-DR601C component pair (which would fit the factory mounting brackets) and moving these to the rear doors.
Pros: great sound; easy install with supplied mounting brackets and wiring adapter.

These went in the back seat of the suby, so probably need to ask my kids for a review! Went in easy-peasy (did have to sort of modify the adapters a tad to avoid drilling in my door, but not a biggie). They seem to provide decent sound from the back, but like I said, I am not back there too much. For 50% off, they were pretty cheap for sure and definitely sound better than the factory speakers that were replaced.

Easy install in place of an SUV's factory speakers. We put 4 of these in an SUV (one in each door) and powered them with a JVC receiver. No issues!

I just installed these in the front and i have a second pair to install later. I'm giving these 4 out of 5, they sound way better than the stock ones on my 2005 Chevy Tahoe. If you're looking for a replacement these are really good, i'd recommend pairing them with the JVC line of products (my theory is they work better together). I'd recommend have speakers with more bass in the back for a nice system as these get slightly overpowered by it at full volume but they'll surely bust your eardrums. I've been long waiting a replacement and it was indeed worth it.
Pros: Loud and clear Decent Bass Make a great replacement
Cons: Once you turn up the notch to max they kinda fall of the quality chart, they aren't meant to blast your music 100% down the street but they are nice to cruise and just jam out.

Have used 5 1/2 JVC speakers sincel the 70s. Quality then and now for a reasonable price. Using as front kick panel speaker this time in early Mustang with retro kick panels.
Pros: Quality, sound for the size. Paintable with light scuff with vinyl/plastic designed paint to match interior.
Cons: Speaker grills have large opening w/o screens which may allow debris and dust to accumulate.

Giving a three as these speakers are just ok. They replaced factory rear speakers in 06 Sienna with a Sony XAV-AX1000 receiver with no external amp. They are easily over powered and sound muddy. Wish I would've selected something more robust. For the same $50-$70 there are better options I'm sure.

The speakers are totally awesome just what I was looking for and sound. I love to hear music great clarity and if you're looking for that these JVC speakers are them stop your search and buy these. I guarantee you will not regret it. Plus I bought a receiver and got these speakers at 50% off so that was a win-win all the way around for me. The speakers were perfect two thumbs up as they replaced 16 year old factory pioneer speakers those are burnt toast no paper nothing holding the middle part of it crazy. Anyhow great speakers thank you crutchfield.
Pros: these speakers are totally great sound real clear and pack a major punch without the amp I can only imagine when I install the amp.
Cons: To be honest I have not found any cons on these speakers they lived up to the hype so far.

I don't expect to be surprised by the quality of JVC and these 6.5"'s are no exception. They were easy to install and sounded great from the beginning. Once I adjusted the bass in my head unit they really came alive. Its a small car with no subwoofer but these do a great job.

Great speakers with great sound! I have these speakers hooked to 45 watts each and they sound great. The tweeters provide clear consistent sound while the sub fills out the midrange sound. Even after a long day of jamming these speakers standup to the high wattage great still sound great when the power to them is turned down.
Pros: Great Price, compact size with big sound, durable to high wattage
Cons: Be gentle when installing with the surrounds of the woofers, the fabric can be easy to damage if handled wrong.

These were a bit of a pain to install in our 06 Cobalt as there needed to be a few holes drilled but all in all one hours time and some cussing and they were in and working.

We like the speakers however the brackets they gave us does not fit a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer maybe a older one but not a 2008. I had to fabricate my own and this took most of the day which I had not planned on. They need to go back to the drawing board as these would have never fit!
Pros: Speakers are what I expected good sound for a replacement of factory speaker.
Cons: Brackets are not for a 2008 Trailblazer.

What an awesome upgrade. Plug and play install is a no brainer with the included adapters. My wife couldn't believe the sound difference. Bass,mids and highs are incredible and still running the factory radio. Can't wait to slap in aftermarket Alpine unit and mini amp along with the Alpine powered sub. Chills up my spine. Beautiful Crutchfield, I'll be back for my Alpine system.
