Would be disappointed if paid regular price. Was 50% off per set with JVC Head Unit. Better than 20 yr-old OEM speakers. Fair deal at %0% off becuse better than what I had. With discount complaints.
Pros: Easy install especially w/ Crutchfield installation instructions which were more useful than JVC manaul since Crutchfield instructions vehicle specific

1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty
Acceptable sound given the price point of these speakers. They almost sound like if they were be powered by a factory stereo. Except, I just replaced the factory 1997 Ford stereo with a JVC head unit. Even with tweaking the settings (it did improve sound some) it still sounds a bit "tin" like and muddy. I just thought they would sound better given they are running of an aftermarket head unit. This is not my 1st rodeo and I have heard better speakers. Still, they were only this much so can't beat the price especially for my work truck.
Pros: Mids and highs sounds decent
Cons: Lows only sound decent at lower volumes

Very efficient speakers, I replaced my 4 speakers in my F-150 with these and they perform well beyond the factory ones. ( given I installed a new JVC receiver as well)
Pros: Very loud , sonically superior to the factory speakers
Cons: Low end not as low as I hoped, but still getting used to new stereo and the seemingly endless possibilities of sound adjustments.

For the price the speakers sound amazing. Very crisp clear with decent lows. Install was very easy with Crutchfields YouTube videos to show you where all of the various screws and clips are wind removing the door panels.

2009 Ford Explorer
Replaced the factory speakers in my 2009 Ford Explorer and immediately noticed the difference in sound quality. Turned the volume up on the factory head unit without any distortion or the sound bottoming out.

2003 Ford Taurus SES
Very little bass (yes I know it's not a huge woofer) All mids get washed out by the bass tone regardless of how you fine tune the EQ. The treble is decent, but can't get to where it would be ideal because of the lack of kids and washed out bass. Very disappointed. I wish I could exchange for another set of speakers. Crutchfield writes bios on all the speakers, but they're all positive and don't mention realities I've found out. Guess I won't be purchasing here anymore.

1997 Ford F-150
I installed these in my 97 f150 two weeks ago along with a jvc receiver that was in a combo bundle and I've really enjoyed their performance. Of course they fit perfectly as determined by the sites tools and they have a nice look to them even through the door panel grilles. The overall sound quality is great for the price point and they stay clean at louder volumes. Bass reproduction seems about as good as it could be mounted in a door and behind the seats, but its tight and clean. Treble blends in really well and stays distinct throughout the volume range. Very satisfied with my purchase.
Pros: Sound quality for the price, center mounted tweeter is efficient and designed well.
Cons: The frame is minimal thin aluminum and can bend somewhat easily. Shouldn't be a concern considering the lightweight nature of the product and mounting would strengthen the frame flex, but make sure to put s finger under the connector pad when you slide on the quick connects because I almost broke off the first one I did.

Great set of speakers!!! Replaced my front and rear door units on my 2011 F150 and these have a great overall sound. Great highs and lows for my older ears!!! Great deal when I bought a reciever and 2 sets of speakers. Really great value for this price point.

These are a huge improvement over the factory speakers in my 2002 f-150. They sound clear and the bass is okay for the size. I am using these with a JVC head unit. I will be adding a subwoofer for more bass in the future.

Replaced speakers in my Taurus and I couldn't believe the sound difference, you are not going to get deep bass but the sound is clear, volume is good and if you are just wanting to get better sound you won't be disappointed. Great buy.

Installed these in the back of my supercab OBS Ford pickup to replace the blown out stockers. I had to trim one area of the frame on both speakers so they would sit flush, no big deal with some careful hacksaw work. I bypassed the factory wiring directly to the head unit so I did not use the adapters that were sent along and just used the connectors provided by JVC. Sound great. I plan on getting another set for my other pickup in the future.

Great speakers for the money. Deep bass is limited because of the size, but very clear, well balanced sound. Used in a Ford Ranger.
Pros: Very clear well balanced sound. Crisp highs, not tinny. Handle power well without distortion.
Cons: Could use a little deeper bass, but it not the speaker, it is the size that limits it.
