Polk's rugged Atrium 60 sounds great indoors or out, thanks to a careful design and proven Polk technology. Their enclosures are completely weatherproof, so you'll enjoy years of outstanding performance no matter where you decide to place them. The 6-1/2" woofer is laser-tested for optimal mids and bass, and the Power Port bolsters the low frequencies without adding distortion. A 1" dome tweeter takes care of the highs with clarity and precision. You'll enjoy rich, full sound from top to bottom.
The included brackets let you mount the Atrium 60s just about anywhere. They also allow you to rotate the speakers by 90º after you mount them, letting you direct the sound to different areas as needed. And Polk has put the Atrium 60s through rigorous testing to make sure they'll stand up against the harshest weather conditions.

Features
Weatherproof Design: The rugged, mineral-filled polypropylene enclosure features a rustproof aluminum grille, rustproof aluminum bracket, and stainless steel hardware. The Power Port features a Flared "Umbrella" Diffuser design that meets basic military waterproofing specs. With the supplied waterproof Power Port Plug installed, the Atrium60 meets or exceeds ASTM D5894-Salt Fog, Mil Standard 810 Immersion and Mil Standard 883 Method 1009 8 for salt and corrosion tests.
Enclosure Design: The sculpted front baffle and rounded enclosure minimize diffraction (sound reflecting off of hard edges) for more open and lifelike imaging.
Woofer: The Atrium60 uses a mineral-filled polypropylene woofer for clean midrange and deep, accurate bass. The woofer has a 2 pound ceramic magnet for high output and precise control. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofer uses a butyl rubber surround.
Tweeter: The Atrium60 has a 1" metalized dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet to deliver exceptional accuracy.
Power Port: The speaker has a rear-firing Power Port vent for precise, deep bass response. The Power Port vent allows air velocity to slow gradually, which vastly reduces air turbulence and delivers greater bass efficiency than conventional ports. This specially designed Power Port vent also incorporates a bug screen protector.
Binding Posts: The Atrium60 has a set of 5-way gold-plated binding posts that will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, and single and dual banana plugs.
Integrated Mounting Bracket: The integrated rustproof aluminum bracket allows multiple mounting options and full 90-degree rotation. The Atrium60 can be mounted either horizontally or vertically and aimed to deliver the best possible sound in a variety of situations. Each Atrium60 weighs approximately 11.8 pounds.
Paintable: The enclosure, grille, and mounting bracket are paintable, allowing you to match any decor. A paint mask (not supplied) is recommended to protect the drivers and terminals.

These speakers are not your typical airy, all-treble, outdoor speakers. The sound is very full and definitive. With 100 watts of power behind them they perform like a pair of high end indoor stereo speakers, and fill 1200 sq ft of noisy city deck space with first-class sound.
