A Worthy Upgrade From The Monitor XT Line
richard from CLOVIS, CA on 5/5/2025
I purchased Monitor XT70s for fronts and XT15s for surrounds about 18 months ago to use with my venerable CSi5 center and I was pretty happy for a while, but then I started feeling some regret over not buying the Signature Elite line and I kept looking at and longing for them for several months. I finally decided to pull the trigger when they went on sale back in March, and I could not be happier. I read in several places that not much should be expected when upgrading only one tier of a company's speaker hierarchy, but I hear a pretty big difference over the XTs and they are noticeably better in every way: clearer, smoother, more detailed, better separation, and much better cabinet construction. Even my wife says they sound better, and she doesn't care about speakers in any way, shape, or form. I considered the Reserve line, but I don't think my current receiver (Onkyo TX-NR7100) could drive them very well, but it drives the Signatures just fine as I am measuring 80-85dB on average with peaks to 95dB from my MLP of 12 feet with the volume at 60. And looks-wise is no contest. The big rounded edges of the Signatures give them an elegantly muscular appearance whereas the XTs have a bit of a "DIY" vibe going for them. It may only a one tier upgrade, but I really feel like I went from the basement to the penthouse. Rounding out my 5.1.2 setup are ES15s for surrounds, an ES20 for the center, RC85i in-walls for heights, and dual Monolith 10 subwoofers.
Pros: Excellent build quality. Beautiful curved lines. Articulate sound reproduction. Easy to drive. Magnetic grilles.
Cons: The depth might be a problem for some. Vinyl wrap is not the best looking I've seen.

Effortless and commanding performance
Richard from BOISE, ID on 4/13/2025
Recently bought a pair of ES60's. Honestly, and especially for the low price, an outstanding pair of speakers. They effortlessly reproduce the whole spectrum of sound, with a responsiveness which is unbelievable; and across a wide range of musical material. The best purchase I've made in years !!! Also, do not require a huge amplifier at all; very efficient. Highly recommended.
Pros: Exceeded my expectations by far !
Cons: None, except they are suitably heavy.

Amazing
Jeremy from Noblesville, IN on 4/3/2025
I have had these up LOUD! They sound excellent and it has brought much joy into listening sessions in the living room for sure. Very detailed sound and a surprising amount of bass when i turn down my subwoofer just to see what they are doing alone. I am putting 160 watts per channel at them now and they fill the room and never distort no matter how loud i get. I am wanting to get 300 watts to them and will report back once i get that setup. I recommend these especially at their price.
Pros: Powerful sound and detailed. Brings life to music and much joy in listening sessions. I can't seem to find their top out in volume lol. Just a great upgrade from vintage pioneers I previously had. It's amazing what they are capable of.
Cons: I'm not sure I have found a con in these. Maybe that I need to save up for a power amp to push 300 watts for them... but they sound great at 160 watts for sure.

Es60 powerful tight tower
Bill from BROOKLYN, NY on 2/25/2025
Replaced older Monitor 60 towers with these ES60's. Right off the bat I noticed much clearer treble from the tweeter and a more powerful tighter bass from the woofers. In my opinion they are more stylish and I feel were worth the upgrade.
Pros: Clear treble Powerful tight bass Great for music

Polk ES 60 - Great sound quality and price point
Crutchfield customer from ROSEVILLE, CA on 2/18/2025
5 Stars for great sound quality at a great price point. Picked up the ES60's as an overall front sound stage upgrade from the previous generation of Polk S20 bookshelf speakers. Could not be happier with the update, sound stage is huge, deep bass, well defined mid-range and highs. Primary use case is for movies, but they handle music content with ease. The downward firing power port allows close placement to walls, found that a slight toe kick inward in the speaker placement helped with getting that sweet spot for total immersion. I would highly recommend for the balance of sound quality and price. Build quality looks and feels solid, setup was quick, and the magnetic grills were a nice touch. Great free double boxed shipping by Crutchfield ensured they arrived without any damage.

The Polk signature elite es60 are great sounding speakers. I was a little worried when I ordered them because they were tower speakers with small woofers. My last speakers had 12 inch woofers, but the polks are great for what I need. Thanks for the advice of the Crutchfield advisors.

Cheap plastic binder cap nuts that crack when you tighten them down
Clayton from Burtchville, MI on 2/11/2025
You need to put gold metal caps on the binder post like JBL does instead of that cheap ass plastic
Pros: I don't know yet because I got to send the speaker back and get a new one because of a cheap plastic camp
Cons: I can't put metal posts in there because I'll forfeit the warranty

Outstanding
Daniel from Framingham, MA on 2/5/2025
Absolutely outstanding speakers and I couldn't be happier. I was torn between these and the next level up (r600) and I'm glad I bought these -- anything else would be overkill for my 11x17 room. I only use them for 2-channel audio so I can't speak to home theater use, but overall excellent sound, but particularly the higher frequencies seem clear and sharp (I'm getting older and my hearing has declined somewhat in the higher end). I do have a subwoofer, but so far I believe it's not necessary at all -- in fact, it's a detriment and I might remove it. Two things to remember: These speakers are VERY tall (closing in on 4 feet) and VERY deep. Second, I've found that the placement of the speakers in relation to where you are is probably more crucial that you think. That isn't new knowledge, but if you've been doing most of your listening on a smaller bluetooth speaker, you'll be quickly reminded that tower speakers are much more directional. Placing them fairly wide apart is a help.

Better Quality than Its Price Implies
MU from SANTA CLARA, CA on 1/8/2025
Pros: - Excellent build quality, big and heavy. - Ample, punchy bass. - Clear highs. Cons: - Too much bass for my room - Can be too bright around 6-8 KHz, depending on source material. - Mids volume is less than ideal. It's not too bothersome for my use case (2 channel music only), but probably not good for listening conversations. Overall, good quality speakers that deliver much better quality than its price implies. Could benefit from a little EQ for the issues around mids and highs, but the bass issue is beyond EQ, so much so that I probably need some bass traps now.

Overshadowed by slightly more expensive towers
Brady from Sheridan, AR on 11/27/2024
Overall, the Polk ES60 is very good for the price. It has a lot of bass, but bass is not as clean and the the mids were not as full as I'd like. The R600 (more expensive, to be fair) is noticeably better in both regards. Perhaps the mids could be improved with EQ. I did not EQ them. I A/B tested the ES60 against the R600 and the ELAC Debut 3.0 DF63, and price aside, these were in 3rd for my purposes due to the "issues" above. It's still a good speaker, especially if like a lot of bass and you're not listening critically.
Pros: Design Build Quality Sensitivity Bass Output Smooth highs No harshness
Cons: Muddy bass Recessed/veiled mids

Great quality speaker
John from Fort Worth, TX on 10/24/2024
I ordered these based on price mostly. After looking at JLB, Martin Logan and others I found the Polk ES60 on sale thru Crutchfield. After doing research, these won based on price, performace, size, color and recommendations/reviews but what sealed the deal was the sale price and free shipping (which arrived within a few days). Although one had very minor damage after unpacking and delivery, it was too small to notice. After I replaced my old tower speakers with these, I wasn't comply sold on the sound and punch quality. Later, I replaced my 16 gauge speaker wire with new 12 gauge banana speaker cables and it was like a whole new experience! I find it hard to turn them off and hear new things on older music I've never heard before in the background. These will give you the punch you're looking for if you have the correct power and wire connections. Very happy with my purchase!
Pros: Price, style, performance, sound quality, delivery. excellent punch on lows.
Cons: small damage on delivered speaker. larger than you think.

Great speakers, great service
Keith from Lafayette, LA on 10/14/2024
These are the best speakers I've ever owned. Just overall great speakers. Bass, midrange and treble are all exceptional. Great deep base where you can actually separate the base guitar licks. Crystal clear midrange and treble with great separation and soundstage. Polk speakers are great and worth the money. I actually thought the original price was great but when they went on sale, it was fantastic. I can't be happier. Crutchfield is so incredibly good. I ordered these on Monday, and had them by Wednesday night, double boxed, and by the way, shipping was free. Thanks to Crutchfield
Pros: Consise crystal clear music top to bottom. Great base and treble is not bright, very easy to listen to.

From almost overkill to completely.....
Lonny S from DEER PARK, NY on 10/10/2024
I just ordered these as the 2nd pair designated for pairing in parallel as a rear channel. Currently I use a pair of Polk Monitor 50 for the rear and they sound better than they should but really were always entry, ultra cheap towers with extreme limitations. I have a feeling they could be fine even for the front channel but that spot was always reserved for my Cerwin Vega SL-12. With monster speakers up front and sufficient towers in the rear, I already knew what to expect. My Yamaha AS801 is quite powerful and as things stand I can't go beyond 30% volume w/o risking noise complaints. I have a 300 wpc Klipsch powered subwoofer that also runs at 30% volume. I'd be lying if I said the subwoofer was needed because SL-12 delivers serious bass but I'm sure it must be doing a little something extra.
Pros: I bought this pair for under $800, a better deal isn't likely.
Cons: These speakers weigh 52 pounds each. My CV SL-12 also weigh 52 pounds each. Heavy speakers are great until it's time to move them around. And then you find it can be a chore.

ES60 Elite really? REALLY!!
Ralph from Smithtown, NY on 7/28/2024
Two weeks ago, I received my pair of ES60 Black speakers. I hook them up to my 5.1 system. I brought these speakers to replace my Boston Acoustics HD10s, which have been in use for the past 32 years primarily for music. It was very difficult to give up these speakers. Curiosity about speaker improvement, new designs, hours of research about speakers, and Crutchfield's return policy if not satisfied caused me to take a chance. I have never purchased speakers without hearing them first in a sound room. First impression, they looked fabulous in my entertainment system. The design is modern, sleek and impressive. Sitting in my rooms "sweet spot" I closed my eyes and listened. I could reach out and touch each instrument being played, not one instrument overpowering another. Clean, Clear, crisp accurate. Every voice crystal clear. Satisfaction with every musical genre. The 60s are a perfect fit for the 4k movie experience. The high and Mid are so clear and separate. These speakers respond well to the use of an equalizer for fine tuning to your personal taste. Contrary to reviews I have read; bass is not earth shattering when played as stand alone speakers (no equalizers, sub-woofer). Highs and mids reign. When pushed the bass kicks in. (using Onkyo tx-nr6100-100watt per channel) Solution listening with a sub gives the complete bass with clear and accurate high and mid-range sounds at low or high volume. Growing happier with each days listening. ES60 is a music lovers dream.
Pros: CLARITY! Can't say enough about the clarity of these speakers in the high and mid range levels. You hear and feel the striking of each piano key, the plucking of the guitar strings, the tingling triangles the different drums snare bass etc. Every voice clear. Shout out to the Crutchfield for double boxing speakers arrived in perfect condition, and to staff Willie, who was knowledgeable answered my questions without trying to steer me to buy other products. Will be a customer for life.
Cons: For me, I find the bass a little weak at the lower volumes. Perhaps I need more power to push them to get more bass at lower volumes. Perhaps I have to fiddle a bit more to find that perfect level for me. Definitely not dissatisfied, but since nothing is perfect.

More than I expected. Sound stage has pin point accuracy. Sound quality highs to lows is excellent with no drop offs or boosts in entire frequency range as far as my ears are concerned. I like music from hard and classical rock to pop and smooth jazz, and can hear every detail of every song. Even details that went undetected before. I have them placed 9 feet apart center to center with a 1 1/2 inch tow in front to back on each side and have not found the need for adjustment yet. The seating is in an equal lateral triangle to the speakers. I have the other select Signature Elite ES speakers to complete my home theater system with a YAMAHA A2A Receiver. Great sounding Speaker!
Rich from ATLANTA, GA on 7/9/2024
I got the ES60's three weeks ago and I'm very satisfied with them. Actually in this price range, I don't think you will find a better sounding speaker than the ES60. I'm using an Emovita PT-100 preamp and A-300 amp to power them. They replace the Polk Monitor 70 II towers. The ES60's are a HUGE IMPROVEMENT! They are very balanced, clean clear highs, well defined and warm midrange, and lots more bass than the Monitor 70's. I do have a sub that was a MUST with the Monitor 70's but I don't use it much with the ES60's. Mostly when playing vinyl but not really needed when listening to CD's or Streaming. I live in an apartment so my living room is small so the ES60 fill the room without turning them up too loud. As noted in another review I agree that these are not tonally neutral but at this price point you're not going to find a speaker that doesn't add some coloration. I love em just should've gotten them sooner. Oh also I must acknowledge the excellent customer service of Crutchfield. Originally I tried another speaker but after getting the ES60's I returned the other pair and they made it easy. It's such a pleasure to talk to real people in customer service these days.
Pros: Overall balanced sound, clean clear highs, well defined midrange and rich bass. These image very well, wide and deep soundstage. The down firing acoustic port is a cool design element. Great job by Polk!
Cons: None at this price.

Terrific Value
Steven from Cheyenne, WY on 6/19/2024
Just received these a couple days ago and have been listening to them with a variety of music (in very large room). These are not my first Polk speakers, and not my first towers. So I do have a point of reference while listening to them. First off, Crutchfield shipped them amazingly fast. They also quickly resolved any questions or concerns I had both before and after the sale. IMHO Crutchfield is great. Second, Polk packaged each speaker extremely well. I think the packaging would protect even the most extreme handling and storage. Nice job Polk! Insofar as aesthetics: I really like the clean and modern appearance of these towers. While it may not be in the same league as the finish for some premium audiophile speakers, I am pleased with how they look in my family room. All of this is moot if the sound was lacking. However, I think these sound pretty darn good right out the box. Imagining and clarity is excellent. They are not a totally neutral speaker, but the color they do add to the source material is very refined and enjoyable to listen to. For the price, I doubt that there are many speakers that could compete with the Signature Elite ES60s. So far, I am totally satisfied with them.

Been a big fan of Polk Audio speakers for years but have always had only bookshelf speakers in the past. I wanted to upgrade to better speakers for music and a home theater setup in the future. For now I have been using these ES60 speakers in a two channel system with a vintage Pioneer SX 1080 120 watt per channel receiver. These are a huge improvement over the bookshelf speakers I was using and in my opinion don't need a sub as these have plenty of bass for my listening taste. I listen to mostly all classic rock music and play it on the loud side. Very happy with my purchase and can't say enough about Clutchfield's customer service. Speakers were double boxed and arrived in perfect condition. Why buy from anyone else? Highly recommended!!

After nearly 2 decades with my JBL Northridge e80's, it was time for an upgrade. This would be my first speaker purchase relying on customer reviews and industry specs. I do not consider myself an audiophile but I can appreciate precision when it comes to instrumentation and its auditory presentation. I was not disappointed with the Polk ES60. Highs, mids, and lows are replicated well, not only for music but for movies also. Powered by a Denon s670h, although we are only dealing with 75w in stereo, everything is crisp and accurate musically, whether listening to Tupac , Wayman Tisdale, or Pat Metheny. Worth every penny for musical accuracy. Delivery was swift and on time. Packaging was in tact and boxes secured.
Pros: Excellent build quality, exceptional sound quality, perfect footprint (not too wide)

Great upgrade-replacement speaker
John from Minneapolis, MN on 4/19/2024
I purchased this speaker as a "drop in" replacement for a 20 year old floor standing speaker of same size, impedance and sensitivity. This speaker is just about 2 inches higher and 4lbs lighter. While shopping for a replacement speaker, I fell in love with the design and color scheme. Once I read read the specs and a few reviews...I was SOLD. Since it is paired with another floor standing speaker (on the same channel) AND since I only purchased a single speaker, I cannot give an in-depth critique of the E60 as a standalone stereo speaker system. I CAN say it is a definite improvement over the old floor-speaker that I was using.

Bought these speakers to replace Polk Audio RT16 (purchased 1995). Currently using Sony TA-F500ES integrated amp (purchased 1988); power 80w/channel. New ES60 speakers sound excellent (playing Apple Music through TV optical out with digital/analog converter into amp). Bass can be felt without using subwoofer. Have not yet played music at higher volumes (being courteous to our cat). Planning to eventually replace current amp with home theater receiver that has more power. That will simplify setup, improve sound, and enable future expansion (surround sound).
Pros: Affordable relative to power capacity and sound quality; beautiful speakers
Cons: Darker brown than shown online (inconsequential)

While these are not designed/intended to be reference speakers, they do a pretty respectable job of faithfully translating a variety of material. The low end is most impressive - kick drums and action movie sub frequencies are delivered with ease - no sub woofer necessary! They are not hyping either - if the content contains the info you hear it and if not, you don't. I would describe the upper mid and highs as warmer, smooth and easy to listen to. I do wish there was a little more 'air' at times in the highs, but that's probably asking too much at this price point. I did find a small improvement in the clarity of the upper frequencies after replacing the stock gold plated jumpers with Mogami jumper cables (I know, a controversial topic! Give it a try, let your own ears decide.)

Great sound for the money
Robert from Rehoboth Beach, DE on 12/20/2023
If you have a large room, you can't go wrong with these speakers. These speakers are located in the living room of new open concept house and because of the excellent sound dispersion, they easily fill the space even at low volumes. Sound quality is very good with slightly warm mids and smooth bass. Imaging is very good even though the room is not balanced. You'll be hard pressed to find better sounding speakers for under 1K plus they look great!

Balance between vocals and instruments way better than the Klipsch speakers I previously ordered. Mid-range is very good - the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. (I am a tough grader!) Bass is excellent. Music sounds great even without a subwoofer. Well worth the price, but even better on sale!

Bought these to replace a set of very old rt35's . I wanted something with a better top and bottom end. The es60 fit that need perfectly. The newer Polk tweeter is a major improvement over previous generations. Overall sound is more open. Good mids and adequate bass for my needs. HF stereo set-up only.
Pros: Very good sound print. Open bass not boomy.

Great speakers to upgrade to!
Joseph from Cypress, TX on 9/18/2023
I upgraded to these from a pair of Yamaha sperakers from the 80's which were reconed around 10 years ago. So needless to say these way outperfrom those speakers. I can hear with clarity all of the highs mids and lows as I am bi-amping these speakers to drive both the high and low drivers. What I didnt realize was how these speakers helped to balance out the lows that my sub put out as well. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who will listen if you are upgrading from some older speakers!
Pros: Great detail in highs mids and lows
Cons: DIdnt look at size and could be possibly too tall for my area, but I don't care, lol

ES60: Best bang for the money!
Carlos from Luquillo, PR on 7/20/2023
First of all, this is not a Hi End speaker. This is just a fine domestic set of Polk Audio speakers aimed to those looking for good sound without the need to mortgage your house. From the money point of view, it represents a huge value. I placed my set in my living room,in one of the 5 systems I have at home, replacing old Klipsch's because I was tired of the upper register's exageration due to its horns. I was looking for something with a "tweeter" and that's how I finally decided to purchase these Polks. For the special price I got, this could easily be one of the best bargains in home audio today. I was contemplating the idea of buying some Tekton speakers costing 3 times, but I don't use this system a lot and besides the sound, appearance was also very important. The ES60 does everything it's suppose to do and it does it really good indeed! On my big living room, I don't need a subwoofer, the mids are really present and the highs are softer than the Horns loaded Klipsch. It's not a perfect speaker, but at this price range it could be difficult to find something better for the money. I also looked into the Jamo's, and even saving almost $200, I finally opted for one of the best selling speakers in 2023. Once you connect it and let them break in for a short period, you'll find out why this set has found a place on many homes in America and Puerto Rico. Polk Audio has done it again, and with the magnificent service of Crutchfield, you can't loose. ES60: a clear win
Pros: High value, solid bass and clear mids. With a good ancillary system, it really rocks! Crutchfield service, double box packing and fast free shipping are second to none.
Cons: Taller than they seems to be. Use good wires to avoid "highs" harshness.

Nice mid-tier speaker with decent separation with bass-mid-treble. I'm pushing 85wpc..i wonder what they would do with 150? I like the design and that they have them in white. They do pretty well considering i have a 20 x 22 room that is hard to fill on a budget. Matched them with a set of Klipsch rp-160m which complements nicely. Hey Klipsch..how about some other colors!

Ramon from Toa Baja, PR on 4/21/2023
I do have the Signature ES60 which are just excellent. I decided to get the Elite's E60 as my retirement present. Does not matter how much you research these are the best speakers in the world in this prize range. They are impossible to match, the soundstage is so dimensional, you know exactly where each musician is standing and who is closer or farther from you. I was just listening to a remastered Camel CD and I just could not explain having my Denon receiver in pure direct mode, I could actually hear music going through my side and sounding even behind me. Crisp highs , deep pounding bass , no distortion at all, voices sounded like having a personal concert in front of me real as life. You could spend thousands more and I dare if other speakers actually on a blind folded test you could say, sounded better than the Elite ES60, on home theater mode really I do not need an extra subwoofer. This means if you are not rich you do not need to be. You will get everything you will ever need is you are regular, no rich , music purist kind of guy like me. The sensitivity, well design, pretty looking, 300 watts capacity, frequency response just kick away everything else. In my case even higher prize Polk's speaker line supposedly, high end would probably need a complete change in your set up , space and a higher power amplifier. the Elite ES60 to good to be true, came well protected in a double box, and Crutchfield three days delivery impossible to match even not living in US Continent
Pros: The best in the world at this prize range comparing and surpassing speakers costing much more
Cons: None

Excellent warmth, clarity and bass all in one
Thomas from St Peters, MO on 2/25/2023
We auditioned seven floor standing speakers in this price range before settling on the ES60. We compared ELAC Reference, ELAC Q series, Kef, SVS Prime, and KLH Kendall and found for our room the Polk Audi ES60 was the best sound. There was something we liked about each of the speakers, but the overall warmth, imaging, clarity and bass of the Polk is what captured our ears.
Pros: Bass, clarity and warmth
Cons: I wish they were real wood veneer and slightly lighter colored, too similar to the black veneer.

Good but not quite the treble clarity I hoped for
John from BLOOMINGTON, IN on 12/5/2022
There is lots to like about the Polk Signature Elite ES60, but it doesn't have quite the treble clarity I was hoping for and the white finish is woodgrain not gloss so I'm mildly (only mildly) disappointed. I'm using a pair of the Polk ES60's alone for stereo music listening in a moderately large room. I adjusted a multiband equalizer for quite a while to give these speakers their best sound for the room and my ears. They fill the room with good sound; no need whatsoever for a subwoofer. I bought the Polk ES60's primarily because I required a white cabinet and because the price is not bad. I thought the white finish would be gloss but in fact it's woodgrain white; I can live with that. The primary reason for my less-than-perfect rating is that the Polk ES60 speakers do not have the treble clarity of my Klipsch RP-280F speakers (purchased in 2016, similar price range). I keep trying to get the Polk ES60's to sound like the Klipsch RP-280F's; I've settled for close. These Polk ES60's are good and I'm keeping them, but I wish Klipsch made floorstanding speakers with a white finish.

Fantastic Customer Service and Love my New Speakers
Keith from Lees Summit, MO on 7/16/2022
This review is more about the people I spoke with and the customer service I received during my most recent purchasing experience. I Ordered my new speakers and received in 2 business days with free shipping as promised. Upon opening everything up, realized one of the grilles had a small flaw. I called Crutchfield and they were so nice and willing to help. They shipped me a replacement without any argument. As I was taking delivery of my new speakers, I found them advertised for a lower price on another website. Again, I contacted Crutchfield and spoke with another customer service agent and within a few minutes had confirmation that they were "price matching" the other site. Both times that I called; they were pretty quick to answer. The representatives that I spoke to were professional, courteous and so helpful. Crutchfield's representatives provided the kind of customer service that is very rare in today's world. Many of the products they sell may be found on other sites and pricing pretty consistent across the board. All things being equal, Crutchfield will be where I place my order. Their superb customer service sets them apart. By the way, I'm very happy with my speaker purchase. They sound and look great!! They are everything I was hoping for.

Versatile speakers
Mark from Farmers branch on 7/11/2022
I recently purchased a pair of the ES60's and just finished with the break in period. Since I have limited space in my listening area, I needed speakers that would work well without installing subwoofers. I am not disappointed with this purchase. My AVR is also new (TX-R50) I am still learning about the AVR and it's going through the burn in stage. My listening is mainly Jazz, Blues, Bluegrass, Country, and classical with a little bit of swing and big band. Good clarity and soundstaging. A couple of weeks ago there was a temporary price drop. I called Crutchfield and there were no questions asked, and received a credit for the difference. Overall pleasing experience in purchasing and listening.
Pros: Well protected in shipping. Crisp and clear sound. Accurate sound reproduction. Placement is not as critical as I thought it would be for good sound-staging

Fantastic
Crutchfield customer from EAST ALTON, IL on 6/19/2022
These floorstanders are absolute monsters. I have never heard frequency response like this from 6" woofers. They can really go low, sometimes i do not even bother with my 12" subwoofers, and that is not an exaggeration. I will say, a word of caution to my lower powered AVR guys. I originally pushed these ES60s on an AVR rated at 70w. I recently stepped up to an AVR rated at 105w and I must say the difference was very apparent in the depth of the sound and the top end sparkle. It was much more significant than i expected it to be. I would strongly recommend you drive these speakers with least 100w RMS to ensure they are performing at full potential. I bought these ES60s along with a ES35 center and ES10 surrounds. my set up is designed as home theatre but i often find myself just listening to music on these due to how amazing they sound. Everything from thumping rap to soft vocal covers. These are a massive upgrade form the T series and will play anything you throw at them, and they will play it well.
Pros: Massive, powerful, crystal clear sound.
Cons: Much larger than they appear in the pictures. These should be rated at 100w rms on the spec sheet.

Better than Expected
John from FAIRBANKS, AK on 2/21/2022
Purchased the ES60's with a small amount of trepidation, expecting to be somewhat disappointed. Boy was I wrong, these speakers are fantastic for the price! The speakers these replaced are 30-year-old Dahlquist DQ20's, I did not think the ES60's would even be close to being comparable. The POLK's have an extremely crisp sound with no harshness, imaging detail is very impressive. I wanted to go with the Reserve series at first, having a lower power receiver I chose the Signature Elite because of the Bi-Amp capability, The Legend series is just beyond my price point. I have other POLK speakers that have been very good, these are the best I've had. I have had the speakers for about 2 months now, not a lot of time to evaluate them, but I am very pleased. I have been able to re watch some Blu ray 4K movies and the sound placement is perfect with the action on the screen. I like these well enough that I ordered and recently received the ES30 center to replace a 3-year-old Polk center speaker. Still need some time to evaluate it before reviewing it. They are a very nice looking and solid speaker, when I unboxed the first one my wife said, "it's so pretty". So far, overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. I love the fact that Crutchfield provides the information to let me do my own research and make informed decisions, I have made many purchases over the years through Crutchfield and have never been disappointed with any aspect of the service they provide.

Great Bang for the buck. I've been into audio for several decades and always wanted a really kick ass theater setup. Well guess what just arrived in the mail baby! I auditioned these on my inexpensive Yamaha receiver this morning. Very impressed with the detailed rendering low bass presence and crisp treble that snap crackles and pops! The great thing about these particular speakers is they compete in the mid tier range but unlike other mid-tier products where there are only left and right speakers available (maybe a center) this line also has bookshelfs that you can incorporate into a theater surround setup. The speakers have little feet that help to keep it upright. The Dimensions I measured without the feet are: 15 3/4" Deep 8.5" Wide 44 5/8" Tall and the feet stick out about 1.5" on either side and are sloped to stay low to the ground Some of the unique and cool things about these speakers are: - The ability to drive the woofers and the tweeter separately to produce a cleaner sound - The woofers are driven differently so the uppermost woofer produces more mid-range sound while the lowest woofer produces the most bass enabling each to perform it's task better. - All 3 woofers make bass and there is a unique port at the bottom that disperses the sound 360 degrees. The port is rather large and I would imagine it contributes to the immense bass production these towers are capable of. If you want theater sound these babies will do it. Most

Beautiful sounding speakers. Low volume tv or background music is crisp and lifelike accurate. They really shine when at listening level. After having these a few days I bi-wired the speakers and the separation clarity went to a new level. It really is worth it to bi-wire.I am using them on a 2.0 110 watt receiver. For most music they clean and are perfect. I may add a sub for movies.
Pros: Clear, clean, efficient and they look good.
Cons: Large. It was a while for the wife to adjust.

Bass is present and full as well. Paired with SVS Prime center and Prime Elevation for front and height as ES15's for surrounds. Enjoying my movies and music much better. This 5.1.2 set up is a pleasure for me. These towers are what I needed.
Pros: Great highs, mids and solid bass.
